Hey man I was in the race scene at my local track awhile back and was running the 22 3.0 how does that model stack up in todays racing. I know yours is a 5.0 and mine may be a little out dated but just wanted to hear your opinion. Thanks in advance.
This NEEDS to grow! Every state gas several cities with convention centers/hotels that could fit races like this. Playing with cars in the house, WooHoo!
Your RC race footage is the definitive benchmark for all RC videos out there. Period. The angles are spot on, the cut is great and the music is awesome. A big THANKS for making and sharing this. Really makes me enjoy my hobby even more.
I've been binge watching RC videos because I just started getting back into it after 8 years. Just built a B7D 21.5 buggy and raced at a club race in Burlington WI this weekend. I have raced at Trackside too and even back when Scotty owned it. He is a very cool guy. So far getting back into it I am really slow and didn't have the tools anymore to make sure my car was setup but it was a lot of fun.
Super cool of you to go out of your way to Congratulate Ryder in his 21.5 TQ. He was pumped to get to meet you that weekend. Thanks for the encouraging words from a really excited Dad after we got the win that weekend!!!!
I had an absolute blast that weekend! Can't thank you enough for the help and support! Now I have to return the favor by getting you to race a dirt bike for the first time 😬😬
Scotty is the man. He sold me my first rc car and first kit when I was like 12. Helped me set it up and was just extremely helpful. If every hobby had a Scotty everyone would be much happier
@@RyanHarrisRC definitely doesn’t happen on all channels though. Amazing to see you helping people then seeing them get so much faster throughout the weekend. Meanwhile, TH-cam enables you to still get help from others even while running other chassis. Every driver that is sponsored should be teaching and supporting other drivers like you are. Keep it up man.
Hey Ryan, your videos are top notch my good Sir. Many years on the you tube, and first time to really hit that subscribe button in years . I dig your kindness 👌
A huge thanks to your videos and setup development that you share with our RC Community. I've never ran carpet offroad, but will next week and will start with your setup. Thank you very much and wish you the best always!

Great to see you mentoring the groms and really becoming an ambassador for the hobby. Love the content and the production quality, brother. 🤙
Ryan let me tell you, I was feening for another video of yours. They bring nothing but informational happiness along with talking about everyones favorite hobby... Toy Cars. Keep it up Ryan, and Late Merry Christmas and to a great racing year of 2022! 🤜🤛
we need to stop call it toy cars, we take racing just as seroius as other forms of motor sports, like gokarts dont get names as "toy lawnmower motor bumper cars" or nascar "hillbilly left turn toy cars"
I've never ran carpet offroad before and had the opportunity this week after getting the car built. I used your setup and I have to say I'm absolutely amazed at how well it worked and fit my driving style. Thank you so very much for sharing your setup and I can't wait for our first race at the local area new carpet track Hayden Radio Control Raceway (HRCR).
I started watching your videos a couple months ago and now I got my first buggy kit to put together and gonna start racing locally! Thanks for all the info so far!
Incredibly cool to see Aaron and Andrew Kothman running so well!!! I remember how awesome it was when Aaron turned 13 and we could say we were getting whooped by a teenager instead of a 12yo.
I love the shirt bro, I live in Knoxville Iowa so I know all about the Kinser family and their legendary accolades. Not too many people know about sprint cars which is crazy to me but mad respect to you my man
Hey Ryan!, I wish you talked about pill selection on the blocks and why you choose that configuration, same with camber link locations and how that's affecting your car. I'm a noob that's enjoying your content and wanting to learn more. Be nice to learn more about setups and why you make those changes on these tracks with different surfaces.
@@RyanHarrisRC thanks for the reply. I've done that, my issue is not understanding what these changes are actually doing to the cars. I'm a visual learner. If a new guy doesn't understand what the changes are doing, we beat ourselves up 😂. The pills are confusing!
@@MegaManJuice101 Research camber, caster, And toe (in/out) Once you understand, it will stick. I learned from riding atv's and it transferred to rc cars very easily. Caster effects how the tires track at speed. Camber adds stability, and helps in corners.

Love your channel. Just found it and have binge watched many of your videos. I've been contemplating getting back into the sport. With no tracks nearby, makes it very difficult. Could you do a Ball Diff break in procedure? You do a great job of explaining shocks and bearing rebuilds. I could not find a video on Ball Diff's. What your doing for RC is just what it needs. Also where is the Losi setup sheets webpage?? I cannot find it and your link is broken.
What type of airbrush paints do you use also how do you prevent orange peel when air brushing. I have tried different pressures and got the same results. Any tips?
I haven't run carpet in a long time. But it's strange that you don't run foam in the tires. In fact, at my local track, we would double up on closed cell inserts. Granted, the track had been closed for years.
Did you try 2 metal gears in the differential instead of 4 planet gears. Here in U.K. We use that method for quick rotation on carpet in U.K. on a Schumacher cougar Laydown with 10k diff oil. Might help your setup.
Ryan good video you are so fast it is hard to believe you can think so fast some of the corners were a blur to me. This may be a dumb thought however I am new to indoor offroad so hear goes what if you either put heavier fork oil in the front or a heavier spring would that work instead of adding glue to your front tires?
