Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action. I had some time to spare before my journey back home, so I used that hours’ time to do some filming at London Euston railway station, the southern terminal of the West Coast Mainline on the same day as St Pancras and shot in 4K. No big surprises other than seeing some units supporting new liveries.
Trains include: Virgin Trains Voyagers & Pendolino’s (390005 & 390020 in new livery), London Northwestern 350’s (350373 in new livery) and London Overground 378’s

Nice video!.
I love the legendary railways names comming back in to use and hopefully sticking around, even if the liveries do change.
Not keen on that LNWR livery though, especially with that dark green over the front.
I rather like the shade used, just my opinion.

Are they diesel or 3rd rail? because there is no patograph on they so its not overhead
The Voyagers are diesel powered, the 378s run on third rail on the Watford DC line.

Which platform is this? It's a great spot as it's further out than the other platforms, I'll give trainspotting a go from here myself! Were the station staff flexible or did you have to wrestle with them to let you film?

Why do they always make those screeching noises when they approach the station? Is it the brakes or the wheels on the rail?

Class 378 - 3rd Rail? Didn't think Euston had 3rd Rail... Def not overhead as I can't see a pantograph on them...
Only one or two of Euston's tracks have 3rd rail - used exclusively for the 378
378s have the pantograph but because most of their line is DC, they go with third rail If they are routed into other platforms that aren't 9 or 10, they'll have to raise their pan.
The Watford DC Lines run to Euston from Watford Jn. 3rd Rail on BR and 4th used on sections shared with LT's Bakerloo Line.
