London Underground, DLR and c2c trains at West Ham & Limehouse

- Today we are along the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway line and take a look at West Ham and Limehouse stations. The London terminus of the line is Fenchurch Street station, not far from the Tower of London and the famous Tower Bridge. Principal services on the line are operated by c2c, however, between its terminus and Limehouse the line runs parallel with the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) and between Bromley-by-Bow and Upminster the line runs parallel with the District and Hammersmith & City lines of the London Underground.
The film starts at West Ham, which is a major interchange station between c2c services and the London Underground and DLR (the latter not shown at this station). We see many Class 357 “Electrostar” trains next to London Underground S7 Stock trains. The posh-sounding announcements at the station are provided by Anne.
For the second half of the film we jump to the Docklands area, where at Limehouse station c2c trains can be observed next to the DLR. We first cast a glance at the beautiful Limehouse basin with the Canary Wharf estate in the background. The Docklands Light Railway runs here next to the basin on a brick viaduct. At Limehouse station the DLR joins the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway line, where we observe a few more Electrostars calling at the station.
Enjoy!

A fun fact with C2C trains at Barking there's a link from Liverpool Street station through Forest Gate connects at Barking and runs to Tilbury and Stanford-Le-Hope though this link is used by freight C2C trains use this route to run into Liverpool Street late at night when Fenchurch Street is closed.

Missing the place, my daily commute route three years back.
C2C uses the old LTSR route - some of the stations still have LTSR ironwork.
Nice one.
I love trains❤️🖤💚💙💜🥰💓🧡🧡
Wonderful railways in world.

Nice train
How long does it take to change from the District Line eastbound to the C2C eastbound? Thanks if anyone can help.
Andy JS If you are at the back of the eastbound train so right by the platform exit, probably nor more than a minute.
Do you mean platform to platform? Of yes, you have to go down stairs, walk about 3 meters then go up stairs again
man I love those 357s
They look like the turbostars class 170s 168s 172s
Awesome video!
yeah
2:01 Anne announced so many interchange connections, even the train had closed its doors to depart in the middle of that announcement! Lol
@Europe Trains! lol
Have you thought about going to see the metro in Sunderland or Leeds
Leeds doesn’t have a metro/light rail system. It has a few Metro branded trains but that’s the WYPTE Travel networks branding (including buses too).
Love!
These two stations are really busy
Congrats on One-Million views, love your videos Luftschlange keep it up!! 😊😊

Awesome video! I live at the station one stop away from West Ham, Bromley-By-Bow. I guess that is a good station to film at because at the end of the westbound platform, it curves a bit so you can get the front of the train easily and you can record c2c trains going past. Nice video of West Ham. You should of got Jubilee and DLR trains too.

I went to West Ham the other day AND I SAW A C2C CLASS 387
Gracie_ Idekk they aren’t rare but they don’t run them as much as the 357s
For Docklands light Railway it's platform 3 and 4

Oh really cool I hope
Superb videos :)
So technically or conservatively spoken :-) The subsurface-Underground isnt actually a real metro for a 100%, like at Farringdon station they share stations with national Rail. But the Undergroundtrains run their own tracks next to the Nat-Rails, its almost more similar to the Berlin S-Bahn in that case...
well no. going my your logic, there are no metro services in london becsuse they have stations that bave connections to mainline trains. a metro-style service is generally determined by its frequency and route, rather than the connections with mainline trains. im definitely not 4 hears late
@@Farleigh1050 Sure there are Metro-Services in London, and its for sure one of the greatest (And most fascinating) metro-systems in the entire world. But, in theory, very strictly spoken, not all lines are pure Metros. The Docklands Railway in the other hand is more of a pure metro-network for example... But thats speaking about unimportant details anyway. In the Case of Farringdon its probably a question of space...
I love trains
Why do I find c2c so satisfying, they're just such a cool company. I swear, they owned like the best stations.

Me: No, the doors are closing, I'm gonna miss it..
Doors: Yeah. I don't wanna go to Plaistow,
Doors: *Violently reopen*
Me: This might just be my lucky day
Doors: Better be quick, I've changed my mind.
Me: Almost there....
Doors: That's it too late now... 😂😂😂

I like how the Hammersmith and City line doesn’t terminate in the City. It’s more like the Hammersmith, City and Barking line.
Transport News Finland back before the crossrail works some used to terminate at Whitechapel.
On our next vacation break I want to do
Why is there HTML tags for the announcement?
C2C IS MY FAVOURITE TRAIN BECAUSE IT COMES AT GRAYS STATION
lol
The class 357 is like from roblox step ford country railway
I agree
I like london trains
can you do canning town like if you agree :)
What is C2C's mainline called? I know First great Western, now Great western railway, is called Great western mainline. So what is the name of C2C's mainline. LNER, Hull, grand central and GN is east coast mainline. Abellio Greater Anglia is the great eastern mainline and trains running to the south or through the city is the midlands mainline. I don't think it's a mainline as c2c is a completely suburban commuter train
C2C runs the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway. It isn’t really a “mainline” like the Great Western because it has different branches, but the main leg runs from Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness. GWR also run trains on other lines, like down to Cornwall and in Cardiff on branch lines too.
@@fayehiggins1150 the GWR will remplace Greater Anglia and C2C
ok?
London, Tilbury and Southend Mainline (LTSML) or Railway. Both work out to be fair.
C2c is probably seen already so that makes the 357 016 makes fast
