Ram Dass speaks on balancing the many levels of consciousness. As you evolve spiritually, you become more awake during your incarnation. As you die, you can merge into the Oneness or you can push against the final merge and stay in form. Why would you stay in form? Not because your personal desires any longer, but because of the suffering of all sentient beings. That's what a Guru is. It's a being who is staying in form in order to relieve the suffering of other living beings. The final realization is that the entire of evolution was an illusion. At that moment, path, pilgrim, and goal merge into one. When Buddha says you are already enlightened, the entire Sadhana path is to awake you out of your illusion of separateness. Nobody teaches you anything. They merely remind you. What you are seeking is not outside of you. Ram Dass is not attached to who he thinks he is. Meditation helps you transcend your models of you who are in order to recognize yourself.

Ram Dass spoke to the human experience like no other, merging the east & the west beautifully.
I am struck by the fact this was filmed at a public HS in Miami. Cannot imagine a school hosting a spiritual event, especially one such as this. Makes me wish public education was a spiritual experience 🌠✌️
This man and the power of natrural medicine has improved in my life greatly in the past few days after dealing with what feels like a lifetime of anxiety and depression. I am so greatful to have found this wonderful person and a newfound spirituality. Thank you so much Ram Dass!

You can do it. I face similar struggles, but in the three-ish years since I made a conscious effort to step onto the spiritual, it's getting less and less (long old way to go still). Just trust God and have faith that you're in the exact right place you need to be in to learn, grow and love and don't be too hard on yourself if you perceive you've "failed" somehow. Hope you're doing well since you wrote this 🙏🏻❤️
The part of you that sees your anger is already where you want be :) when you judge yourself, try to notice that too, and let it be. Inner peace is to no longer be at war with yourself. Its not forgiveness, because there is nothing to forgive
Don't force it. But start to create an environment in yourself where it can live, and you may start to find this comes naturally. How to create that environment in yourself is possibly a very personal journey. Your soul is there; I can see it in your questions. Don't force it; be curious. You can get there.
