Thank you, Raghu, for everything you contribute to the depth of each of our beings through these discussions. Thank you, Ram Dass, for being the street lamp on the road to the soul.
Some of the those who are truly wise have described this plane as being an amazing crazy cosmic reform school zoo.. with the best, most important desire being that of spiritual advancement,to attain true enlightenment because until that is achieved we will not be free from the karmic wheel of rebirths....having to appear again and again in this amazing crazy reform school zoo
Sometimes it feels like it's hard to wake up when everybody else is asleep have to keep remembering it's not about them it's about me and my journey do I want to be right or do I want to be happy
It's funny how many people comment the timestamp. 1 year ago, 10 months ago, 6 months ago, 4 months, 1 month, 2 weeks... as if the length of the video has changed?
@@ryanhingorani4019 it's equally funny, maybe, that no matter how many people post the timestamp, the *content* of the video doesn't change, either.... is *your* relationship to it the most important thing to you or is everyone else's? ♡
Although we should be more open to more perspectives. Few are as good as ram Dass. We don't trust no one but ram Dass. It'd be great to have likeminded strong minds which I am sure raggu is
Intro dude would've talked for the entire hour if not for that blessing of the phone ringing telling him to stop, it isn't about you, people come to hear Ram Dass, a small intro is okay, 16 minutes it's too much, and it produces the opposite of what you're trying to do. Being said that, thanks for sharing this beautiful talk.
Actually it is about him, and you, and me, and Ram Dass. It's about all of us being in this together with the equalizing factor that we are all conscious beings living an incarnation in a world of duality. We are all moving in the direction of pure consciousness, and like moths to a flame we cannot resist it. Walk a little slower Luciano so we can all go together my friend. Namaste
I love listening to Raghu as well. He also knew Ram Dass's guru and is quite spiritual as well and I think he is truly gifted at putting all of the recordings together for us.
What was the ending to the story of the ship captain who led the people to the enlightenment at the end? Did he just got interrupted by the crying baby and forgot the ending?
Careful with the golden chain my friend, I gotta watch myself with that one every day There are many ways up the mountain, they all lead to the same place
This was the first Ram Dass lecture that I found predominantly boring. But, it was from 1970 and you can tell that he still had a lot to learn about public speaking.
Boring.... hmmmm... I'm trying to work out what the implies.... a need for our teachers to be entertaining? The packaging of the gift is an important element?
@@ViragoRiver Thank you for your reply. What I found boring was his delivery. He would get much better at public speaking over the next few years and would eventually become a great public speaker. Yes, teachers do need to have some degree of "entertaining" quality but that does not mean that they should be song and dance men. It's part of the design structure and is also connected to the message that they are imparting on those who are listening. For example, for me, I cannot stand Eckhart Tolle and even though his message is often of great value, his personality is too smaltzy and weak to deliver it effectively (for me). Love most of Ram Dass's delivery and messages, though... :)

Why y'all Hating on Raghu ? God bless Raghu
Hate is a strong word. It's like putting on an Otis Redding record and hearing Joe Cocker instead. So you fast forward to get to Otis Redding.

@@seancasey5024 yes.🙂💕 I was born in 72, and find myself sensing when I he see this that I was in this audience in a former life. 😆 lol
He's the one who uploaded the videos and made be here now so we can all watch this. And out of his passion he gives an introduction.

One of the greatest lectures ruined by selfish parents! Why would a parent bring a screaming child to such an event?
Are you serious! The babies make it worthwhile! The birds, the bells, the train whistles,i feel like im there! 💖🥰

ya'll really can't make it through a 15 minute introduction?

Ram Dass was who he was in that moment, thus fulling being Ram Dass in all his glory.
