I've had the best with Elizabeth (as others have mentioned) but I've also found a ton of fragments walking around both shopping areas at night before tackling Tartarus. I'm only 5 hours in and I got 9 last evening by both visiting Elizabeth and also exploring the shopping areas at night (not sure if day/night cycles affect this, but at night I've farmed more).
Here's some I'd like to add; 1. There's a fortune teller in the club escapade that can boost your rate of finding golden hand shadows (exp farming shadows) before you go to Tartarus. You need higher courage to go inside, I think around rank 3. 2. Buying equipment isn't the best use for your money, as you find quite a bit inside Tartarus using star fragments, which youll have a ton of by exploring the map and doing social links frequently. 3. Don't be afraid to follow a guide for optimization if you'd like. I know it's preference, but the odds of getting all of your social links maxed out first play through is almost impossible going in blind. It's totally up to you though. 4. Heals and healing items can be farmed pretty well if you don't mind spending the time on them. Clear Tartarus as far as you can, then use the teleporter and choose a floor. Just sprint through getting all of the breakables and continue on till you find another teleporter, then continue. Later on in the game, shadows will actually run from you if you're a much higher level than them, making farming for early items/ money easier. 5. Gardening takes zero time and helps a bit throughout the game, don't forget it. 6. If you're new you can look up status effects and why they're significant. The game may have a in-game guide on this, though looking them up works too and can help you capitalize on an enemy being shocked for example. 7. You can use the inari shrine to duplicate any one skill card once daily. Good if you find one you like and want to make more. 8. Almost everytime before you leave Tartarus, you'll want roughly 100k yen total from selling everything. Tons of stuff to spend yen on if you know where to look, plus the shopping channel and other things I won't spoil. Ether way, a LARGE amount of money will be spent on summoning/fusing personas, so save before you leave Tartarus and if you don't have enough yen you can always reload. 9. If you're struggling then you can always switch the difficulty, unlike previous entries I don't think it effects anything though I could be wrong. If you don't want to change it, you can always fuse Oberon and Jackfrost pretty decently early in the game to help out some, around level 18 or before. If you're looking for specific fusions I'd use a fusion calculator online, it helps a TON. 10. Have fun with the game, it's gonna take a while if you're a completionist, so just enjoy the story. There's a ton to be done and a ton that can be missed so if you've done a playthrough once you can look up a guide to help you out if that's your thing.
Thanks. I think I understand everything you mention except the personas. I have no idea which ones I want/need, who to get by fusion, which skills to inherit etc. You mentioned Oberone and Jack Frost, so I guess I should aim getting these first?
@@odte7083 yeah you can use a persona 3 fusion calculator to help you, it’s a bit confusing at first but don’t worry about chasing them too early as you need to be a certain level to summon a lot of personas. If you use a fusion calculator it will show you the names of all of the personas you can fuse to get Jack Frost for example. If you see that you have two of the ones they mention on the list, you can summon them and attempt to fuse them for Jack Frost. If you don’t have any of the personas, sometimes you can fuse to make them and THEN make Jack Frost for example. Basically, it’s confusing but if you’re experimenting with fusion I would SAVE before in case you mess up or don’t get what you want that way you can reload and get your money back :)
One tip I never see in these videos but would've helped me - Improving your social links will unlock entirely new social links. As someone who only played P4 and P5, I never expected this at all. I assumed you would be introduced to people throughout the game, then just naturally stumble across social links. Nope, many require getting to a certain rank (plus social stats for some too), then you'll meet new people. I ignored a couple links with boring stories, only to realize I needed to progress them further to get to some characters I actually do like 😅
After an hour of re doing floor 2 to 20 for an hour found 10 fragments start from the bottom n skip most enemies works pretty well plus u farm all the loot 👍
Im not sure if anyone said it yet, but Junpeis Theurgy goes up when he lands a crit, and his combat characteristics make his crits stronger and raise his crit rate
I'm gunna try to play this and it'll be my first persona game. It's kinda overwhelming with how much stuff there is to do but I think I'm gunna go for it lol.
Wait what??? I’ve found like at least 10 twilight fragments in Tartarus, within the first 22 floors, and I didn’t spend any insane amount of time there.
As someone who's first real JRPG was P5R, its totally worth just jumping into, and if you ever get confused or stuck, this channel has some cool videos to help you out :)
Btw, I’m only an hour into the game and already got 2 twilight fragments after using the first one. I think you blitzed through the game instead of looking around
@@KDThreeSixty bro, I’m 20 hours now into the game and farmed at least 60 my entire playthrough, mainly ranking social links and from Elizabeth through quests. She’d randomly give me 11 out of no where 😂 I skipped through the text and didn’t realize what it was for lol playing with a guide by the way
How exactly does drawing fortune increase the social link? I thought it just increased your social stat? Does it secretly give you points randomly into one of your social links too?
I feel as though with new game plus and just this game In general. I might break my record for hours on a JRPG which right now FFX ps2 had a record of 224 hours I had no life I still have no life

I have gotten almost 40 hours of reload in and I have gotten 3 twilight fragments to spawn 💀
Don’t worry I might’ve found a method to farm them consistently. Keep climbing the tower
Elizabeth gives me like 5 fragments every time I see her. I find them around iwatodai also. Basically just rely on Elizabeth to line your pockets

Keep talking to elizabeth every few days, she gives a bunch i always have 30+
I played it for 27 hours. But anyways, I grab them if they appear. I don't attempt to go up and down floors

Seeing elizabeth dancing is pretty traumatizing
why wasn't the Pyro jack and Jackfrost theurgy not called the Jack off? missed opportunity

Thanks for the tips, there aren’t a lot of p3r beginner videos yet

You’re right, but don’t worry, I’ve got another bunch of useful tips coming
I wanted to write a comment about farming in dark zone because I heard about it in other video but then I realized that it was your newer video XD
After an hour of re doing floor 2 to 20 for an hour found 10 fragments start from the bottom n skip most enemies works pretty well plus u farm all the loot 👍
5:00 you so real for this. Bro I named my yt user after her. Best attendant.😂
Not even a debate
You can also work at be blue v not only the coffee shop and the movie theatre but its ok i just wanted to say that i love this game so much ^^
I cant wait to put these tips to use soon!
I can’t wait for you to experience this game more brother
There's also the job you can get at the Beauty V once it's open
Yeah I didn’t know about that one until last night
@@KDThreeSixty and I think you can also work at Wakatsu, but not entirely sure on that one
Shady guy from escapade club sell relationship prayer makes you able to use it during night
I have 60 fragments, only looking around everywhere in free time, picking up fro the floor in the different district
Im not sure if anyone said it yet, but Junpeis Theurgy goes up when he lands a crit, and his combat characteristics make his crits stronger and raise his crit rate

It’s all right, if it’s your first time just wing it. You’ll still have fun
go to settings, turn off remember persona. arrange persona, place persona with auto buffs on top to activate at the start of every battle
@@motchie5473 Yeah I kept forgetting about that setting
Another banger bro!
Thank you! Got another one coming soon
@@KDThreeSixty can’t wait dude! you basically got me through persona 5 lol
I will definitely send this guide to my friend they will need it when they fully start playing the game
Are u using yugioh tag force ost. If so massive W love that great. Great vid too helped a lot
Glad I could help, and also glad someone finally noticed I used songs from those games. They're so good!
@@KDThreeSixty they are honestly so good
Keep up the good content man. That how to fuse persona video helped me a lot
One save slot. You are brave, man.
I almost loaded it by accident and lost an hour of progress 💀
The rewind feature can be used as an auto save
I agree with everything, good video

Also futaba lavenza kasumi makoto haru and ann are my waifus of p5r so yeah
Wait what??? I’ve found like at least 10 twilight fragments in Tartarus, within the first 22 floors, and I didn’t spend any insane amount of time there.

It’s all right! These games can seem pretty overwhelming sometimes. But I’ve got a lot of P5 guides as well
Great video! Do you plan on doing a fuse guide/overview as well?
Yes once I finish the compendium
Looking forward to it@@KDThreeSixty
one question thats not in the video. what cards are best to pick on shuffle?
For me its 1. Major arcana 2. Money 3. Exp (#1 if fighting gold hands). #4. Damage #5 (skill cards)
Arcana that increase hp and sp
how did you get into that spectator mode thing
Btw, I’m only an hour into the game and already got 2 twilight fragments after using the first one. I think you blitzed through the game instead of looking around
There’s no good way to consistently farm fragments until you get to the tziah block of tartarus
@@KDThreeSixty bro, I’m 20 hours now into the game and farmed at least 60 my entire playthrough, mainly ranking social links and from Elizabeth through quests. So I drew a fortune and it used my day. What's up with that?
They take up a time slot which is why I suggested using it on days the person is not available or there isn't much to do

When drawing a fortune you can pick someone to get extra points for
oddly.. i got 5 twilight fragments in the first 22 floors... im still on 4/21.. or about to go to 4/22 finally since I got to the border
Luckily I found a method that’s a bit more consistent
