    In the comments I've observed that many of you want to know that how to assign values of nx ny and nz for 3rd or 4th excited states.
    See it is very simple, in 3D box for ground state we have (111) as (nx, ny, nz) values, for 1st exited state we have (112) or (121) or (211) any of them as all these will be degenerate levels (see my video on Degeneracy of Energy Levels)
    For 2nd excited state it will be (122)or (212) or (221).
    For 3rd excited state it will be (222)
    For 4th excited state it will be (223) or (232) or (322)
    Likewise you just have to increase the value of any one of the nx ny or nz when you go from one excited energy level to higher one.

    sir... why we take potential energy as zero. If we compare this 1D system with the atom, then the electron never have zero potential energy in the atom( it is negative ).
    then why we take zero here??

    Sir is calculator allowed in csir exam ? Because the calculations of electrochemistry numericals are very time consuming .

      No, calculator is by far not allowed in any CSIR Exam. I'm not sure about the upcoming ones but till now they haven't allowed for it.
