      Best of luck! Don't forget to look at other videos on the channel especially under RF Design Tutorials playlist...
      Enjoy the learning and keep the feedback coming on any specific areas where you think a video tutorial will help...

    @2:55, don't we usually plot port impedances/admittances on the smith chart instead?

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sai,
      Couldn't understand your exact query. When we plot S11 or S22 on Smith Chart it shows you reflection coefficient as well as the Input or Output Impedance of the circuit.

    Nice Explanation....... !! Hats off sir ....... Can you please share a video on voltage doubler rectifer circuit.........

      Hi John, That should be pretty straightforward. What's troubling you in simulating that kind of circuit yourself?

    my data display seems to be extremely slow. It takes a lot of time to move plots and I am not sure why. I am using ADS 2024 update 1 trial version and I feel like there's a bug in the DDS. Everything else runs really fast. Do I need to clear the cache of something?

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I can assure there is no bug like you reported as I alongwith many others are using it everyday. Try to look at your RAM and/or Graphic memory etc. If you can't figure out then contact local Keysight tech support team for help.

    Sir, if ADS doesn't open data display window automatically when simulation is end, how to solve it?

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Go to Simulate->Simulation Settings and you can click on Open Data Display Automatically.....
      Hope this helps.

      Hi Ravi,
      You can look at the Learn ADS 5mins playlist and watch all the videos: th-cam.com/play/PL9OnCetH8TYrWFGB4QkDP8HVaY-Aum6Hc.html
      Also, have a look at RF Design tutorial playlist on my channel: th-cam.com/play/PL9OnCetH8TYpFk-gC0SRB9izEIblJmjBm.html
      Hope this helps.

    Is it possible to have horizontal line marker?

    • @BhargavaAnurag

      I couldn't understand what purpose will it serve?

    • @hongpan0507
      @hongpan0507 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BhargavaAnurag in the case when we want to find the frequency range in which S11 is less than -10dB, horizontal line marker is very useful. You have the best tutorial for ADS on this planet BTW

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hongpan0507 Thanks for liking the content on my channel....😊
      It is not possible to have that kind of marker but there are many ways to do what you are asking, see below:
      1. When you insert a plot, don't select S11 as your measurement like you do. Select "freq" from the list and then select Add Vs and from the pop up list select S11. This way you will have the reverse graph and now you will have S11 on X-axis and you can place a line marker on -10 dB to note frequency span.
      2. In data display, you can write equations like this and you can plot freqDifference in a table to get the frequency span that gives you better than -10dB return loss:
      lookupValue = -10
      indices = find(dB(S11) < lookupValue))
      firstPoint = indices[0]
      lastPoint = indices[sweep_size(indices)-1]
      freqDifference = freq[lastPoint]- freq[firstPoint]
      Hope this helps...

    What represents the S(1,1), S , PortZ(1) ?

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      S11 is the input reflection coefficient (or Return Loss if you see it in dB), S is the complete S-matrix and PortZ(1) is the impedance of the 1st termination in your schematic.

      Hi Haris,
      If you have followed all the steps then results should be same. Try to relook all the steps carefully to correct the mistakes and if you can't get it right then reach out to the Keysight tech support team for help.

    When I do the simulation on ADS 2020, it does not show the parameters S(1,2) S(2,1) S(2,2) to indicate. Is there anyway to solve this problem ?

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are running S-Parameter simulation then those parameters should be part of the dataset by default unless you turned it off in S-Parameter controller. Kindly watch S-Parameter tutorial video under the playlist

    help me, please.
    How is S(1,1) different from S(1,2) and S(2,2)?

    • @BhargavaAnurag
      @BhargavaAnurag  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kindly read here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scattering_parameters
      In short, S11 and S22 are reflection coefficient which tells you about the quality of impedance matching of your network with a specific impedance (in RF applications 50Ohms) and S12 is the transmission from port2 to 1 and S21 if usually referred as forward transmission from Port1 to 2 that shows the gain or loss of the circuit.
      Hope this helps.
