      Pause the video and write those equations on your data display page..😊 Load line is a simple equation and nothing special

    Hello Sir, I wanted to plot the I-V characteristics of a diode. Is there some template for that as well? Because I tried a lot of combination to get the desired graph of I-V characteristics as provided in data sheet by the diode manufacturer, but couldn't get it.

      You don't need any template for that....😊 Simply connect a voltage source at the input and a current probe at the output. Run parameter sweep on the input voltage and then plot the current in data display to see IV characteristics of the diode....
      If you are not getting same IV characteristics as in datasheet then the parameters assigned to diode model may not be accurate....

    I need to find kn' . So how do I plot root ( Id) vs VGS curve?

      Hi Sirish,
      That should be pretty straightforward. You can type in an equation like myId=sqrt(Id.i) and then plot myId vs. VGS as you want. Contact your local tech support if you need any further help.

    Dear sir, I'm having problem in determining the bias of the transistor. I'm designing a Doherty PA and need C class bias for the transistor (TGF2977-SM), but how to determine voltage of C class of the transistor? I hope you can help me answer it. Thank you very much.

    Dear Anurag, How did you determine conduction angle?
    Should I perform AC analysis to determine what point I am on the load line?

      Yes, you can perform AC analysis or even Harmonic Balance simulation can help. Contact local Keysight support team for help if you can't figure it out yourself

      It means i want create 1 current voltage - I_DC (SRC1) dependent on V1 (R+C) . How to mention I_DC and V1 in tool

      @@Engineer35775 Current name will be probe name such as I_Probe1.i and you can use Wire label at the appropriate node for voltage.

    Hi sir, I want to simulate th IV curves of a capacitor but i want to do that with layout not schematic, is that possible ? because i like to study the IV curves as a function of kind of dielectric between the 2 metals plates of the MIM structure.

      I am not entirely sure about the question so can't answer it fully and would recommend you to contact Keysight tech support team to provide better explanation.
      Your layout geometry has to be placed in schematic so that you can apply bias to it for IV curves and you can use EM/Ckt cosimulation approach to do so.

      @@BhargavaAnurag Thank You, The problem is i want to simulate the leakage current in the dielectric between 2 metal layers. the dielectric will be SiO2 or Si3N4 or Al2O3.
      Did you have any idea to do it please?

      Simply pause the video and write the equations shown in the video (this is what I did behind the scene and saved it template to save time during the video). Just make sure that your marker names are m1 and m2 but if you have different names then mention the same in your equations...👍

      gm=I/V, so you can run sweep and simply write the equation in schematic or data display to calculate & plot gm

    ->sweep Vgs [-2.8:0.1:-1.5]V and Vds [-0.5:0.1:2]V
    → determine transconductance gm (adjust sweep resolution if required!)

    I tried those equations. But getting error at the third equation :line=slope*DC.VDS[0,::]+b
    The error is ERROR AEL0220syntax errorcompile error
