Brother its a good try as you have told in your own video you want to practice your videography and get some experience,please i am not trying to criticize you but just to clear the meaning of this poem .. i did ask ghani khan baba about this poem by my own self when he was alive, he told me that in this poem mastana saqi means the creator Allah and the jam means his mercy... literally ghani means Oh merciful lord have mercy on me this poem has nothing to do with alcohol.. hope i haven't offended you thats what Ghani khan baba taught me .. i m not that much old you might think but i was lucky that in my teen age i had chance to learn from him .. anyhow you got a creative mind good luck

Thank you for your detailed explanation Khattak Sb - I have no doubt that what you said is what Ghani Khan meant. For this video I was talking to a female model friend (who didn't end up being in this video but anyway) and I was explaining to her in the same way as you did and to be honest I hadn't heard this explanation before. I just contemplated that this is what Ghani Khan must have meant that he was talking to God; that Saqi meaning the creator and jaam meaning mercy. My friend couldn't really grasp this concept ! Not everyone can.

The context didn't really work being promoting alcohol on ghani Kalaam. What ever the idea of aesthetic video was here saqi and mastana is already visualized in people of pashtuns. Mostly pashtoons and even pakistanis are unaware of philosophy, metaphysics and psycho of writer.
So we the people will try to compare visuals as with out capacity. To kill that borders you have not to go away for aesthetic videos because your audience is listening to your words and they would look into visuals too.
As you cannot add saqi in video of this audio so aesthetically video is big error for upcoming generation. If you cannot make people understand about ghani khan just try to make it more simple for them. The best art is simplicity if you look at to its principles.
Sorry disappointed on video this video is killing the whole people i see it more irrelevant according to commercialize audience.
You audio is soothing and appreciated your work always but aesthetics of videos should not to be used for ghani coz you have to make difference between commercial poet and sufi one.

I did a behind the scenes/vlog prior to the release of this music video in which I explained what I was trying to achieve for this video. Of course I'm no director and having no training in the art of filmmaking it does get a bit daunting for me to transfer my thoughts into the final product. I am learning!
Once the video is out, it's no longer mine, it belongs to whoever is watching it. Everyone will perceive whatever they want to out of that video or any other art-form. Some will see the literal saqi in the video and others might see more than just saqi. Like someone said about Ghani Khan's poetry, that the understanding of Ghani's poetry is limited to the person that is reading it. Some might take it in literal sense, others might take it philosophically and more. I know it's not clear enough in the video but I was trying to show that there's a good and bad side to everyone, often times they would like to do good but the bad would come in the way and attract them more.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, yeah I understand that you're disappointed in the video, I knew that a lot would be and I'm ok with that, at the end of the day I'm just experimenting, both with my music and filmmaking. Lastly, I'm afraid I don't entirely agree with simple art being the best art, art is quite subjective !

@@SafK inshallah soon it took me year after sanam, as i was experiencing orchestral quaternotes which can be seen heard in violin.
So that took me long to add minimum 30 violinist in different octaves in one song and yes this time its Shamali afghan whom i choose for this islamic orchestral music with odd 5beats with his bervi and mine solo with Maqam e hijaz an Islamic scales.
Audio took one year just and now its time for video its difficult for me to work on video like pro cox he lives in Canada. I just recorded his vocals last month after music.
