I know this is a few year old, just wanted to say that I really appreciated they video, just picked up a 2005 Victory and will be going over the bike as you did in the video. I also really appreciated the cold start procedure, wasn't sure about the fast idle switch, my buddy thought it was a cruise control. Cheers.
I inherited my grandpas bike when he passed, and really appreciate the info. It was in pieces and between my father in law and myself I’m confident I’ll have it running in no time
Had the day off today and decided to inspect my throttle body was really dirty cleaned it and started it up to let it burn the garbage, worked my down to the plugs and they were good on gap but old and worn, replaced them then reset the throttle and BAM! sounds like a new bike, Thank you guys!
That was freaking great. I just got a victory hammer, I love this bike but knew absolutely nothing about this bike. Thanks for the video. Learned a whole lot.
These guys a awesome. Easy to understand, knowledgeable great communication. This segment got my bike running again and continue running by maintenance.
2005 Victory bike. I had a short a couple months back, off + of battery to frame. Yup, messed up for sure, very dumb. Long story short replaced the regulator and then the ECM. Just got back together with help of the Victory service manual. Checked wire and sensor resistance from the ECM plug, about 12 tests. All is good. Started but not running well. Then replaced plugs that were black and old, thanks to your video. The red warning light would not go out. So today I reset the throttle (TPS) per your video. Light went out. And now looked at the throttle body via video, yup, it has cracks near the top on both. Maybe that is why air comes OUT of the air intake on acceleration and noisy too. Pulling tank next weekend to clean throttle plates. Thanks for the help, great job and vids. Cheers to the Vic Shop!!
Excellent video guys!! So so appreciated! I live in outback Australia, the closest Victory shop is about 1300kms away. There is 1 bike mechanic in town as its a smallish town and he is a staunch Harley owner/supporter. I have an 08 Vegas Low and am desperate for the follow up vid for that series. I however got a lot out of this, thanks so much boys!! Cheers!
Thanks so much for this!!! Contemplating buying a 2003 Victory Vegas with 6k original miles and this helps a lot with some of the things I now know to look for!!
Absolutely perfect. Better than I was expecting, and great camera quality. Can’t wait for the next one. I have a ’14 XC 8 Ball, how about lots of videos on the XC line. Great job Rylan
Thank you Guys. Awesome video easy to understand and follow instructions. Much appreciated. Much Respect to you guys......... from me in New Zealand. 😎
Great video, You guys are very informative and help us Victory owners gain more knowledge of how everything works on our bikes. Look forward to seeing some 106ci videos.
Fantastic video. Just got a new to me 2003 V92C that's running rough, low rpm idle and stalls occasionally especially before it's warmed up and jerks at low speeds and pops on deceleration etc. I'm going to clean the throttle bodies. Thanks!
I know this video is older, but so is the 20yr old Victory I just picked up on trade. Thanks for the pointers and info. Interesting bikes- 02 tour cruiser deluxe. Well made video.
My 04 KP just started having issues starting. I'm positive this video just gave me the mental tools I needed to get her fixed up right. Thanks so very much!
Great video - very helpful, thanks! Newbie owner of a 2002 Cruiser. Love it but have a few questions.. first, how much transmission noise is normal? Is there a service I can do? I have no idea how it was maintained. It has 12000 miles on it. Thanks!
Why people r not like u guys,,, tha way that u explaing everything ,,thats how is done thank guys they r a lot of new people that they will like to learn how to work on there bikes ,,,,,thats tha way u make a video,,like tha way u guys did,,,,,THANK U...
That was a great info vídeo, the iddle up lever it's made for this purpose only and is confused as a choke like on carburated counterpart, iddle up lever is used in this F.I. configuration because they don't use any iddle air control motor or actuator to adjust iddle speed rpm
Thank you foe this video! My new to me 2006 Hammer didn't run right, tried everything then cleaned the oil temperature sensor, runs great now! Many thanks!
Just came across your video here and want to say thank you for teaching me some things. I just bought a 07 hammer and your tips will help me out a great deal. Thanks guys
Just bought my first Victory Vegas 2004 and it was sitting for awhile with the previous owner. Your videos have helped me so.. much to correct some problems. Thank you!!!! I am curious however what exactly throttle point reset does? It almost sounds like focus pocus, lol. Any chance you could explain it please.
Hi.. not model specific, but friends Vegas Jackpot.. , there are two bolts to bottom of starter.. and OIL came running out.. ie , the starter must have been flooded? with oil.. my though is that people keep way! over filling and oil blowing by shaft seal , hence oil going in and this is why starting issue.. can't imagine what the bottom end is having to splash through if I am right.. imho.. oil is to be checked with bike upright ,, not on side stand.. great to get your feedback. thanks
Awesome video quality, great presentation, and great information. Thank you so much and I can't wait for the videos that will help me with my 2014 Cross Country!
The oil temp sensor could be shielded with some coax tape. Ham radio guys use it, its almost like a sealant embedded tape, keeps water out, and is black in color.
Thank You So much Man. I’m about to do a throttle body adaptor change right now On my 07 8Ball. Much appreciated for this video. Lmfaooo and I always thought that was a choke. Dammnnnnn. I wish you were closer to RI because I can’t figure out why my right side blinkers stopped working.
I own a 2005 victory vegas arlen ness version. The throttle body boot has 2 o-rings. Is there a product that helps keep these in place as I install the throttle body on top of it. I understand that grease may not be the best choice as it might cause a breakdown of the rubber.
Just watched this video and it answered a lot of my questions on how to service my 2007 Victory Vegas 8 Ball. Thanks Guys, any other video you can recommend would be appreciated, being in Canada we don’t have many Victory Shops around.
Like everyone ells has said, Great video. Content and presentation. It really helped me today with my 2005 Ness Hammer. More Transmission and Electrical knowledge needed here! Thanks so much!
Hey man, great vid. Only thing I kinda wish you'd have added was how to get the seat off before the battery inspection. I just got my Victory Hammer and I was hoping your vid would show me that. All good though, the rest was great. Thanks!
1 hex bolt on either side. Just be careful on battery side as the bolt is located right in line with the positive post on battery. Be sure the rubber terminal cover is in place.
When pulling out your plugs...prior to removal ENSURE you use some compressed air to clear ANY debris from the spark plug well . If not, debris will end up in the cylinder. T.E.
I have a 2006 Victory Vegas. I watched the video here and have 2 questions. 1. Right after they clean the trodle body, they remove to trodle body boot, the only reference to this is he removes the Ignition . bracket and coil itself. How did he get the boot out, and why did you skip that part? 2 Once he has the boot in hand he shows that it has cracks and is separating from alum. Is it important that a craked boot be replaced?
Absolutely!. If you want to check the boot, other than visible inspection, with the bike running spray it with WD40. If the idle drops you have a leak.
Killer awsome I feel a lot more informed and prepared to take care of my 2006 8 ball .and you're so right about that I don't because the very first day I bought it the salesman tried starting it without it being idled up enough and the sprag clutch went that day I was supposed to pick up on delivery and they had to replace the Spragg clutch I'm sure glad it wasn't me that did that😎
I've got a 2004 Vegas and was wondering how, or if I could tune my bike for a performance exhaust. I recently purchased the bike and it's only got 3200 miles on it. It looks and runs like a new bike. I'm not looking at anything crazy. I was just thinking something like a stage 1 or maybe some Bassani turn outs. Also do you know if the Victory stage 1 slashcuts for an 06 or later model will fit on an 04? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I know this is an old video but hoping to get some input. Thinking of buying an O6 Hammer with 40k miles. Guy says in the ad it "has knock in motor, has LLoyds cam kit, High flow air intake, S&S fly wheels & pistons". Is this common problem? What are some causes of motor knocking? Just trying to get an idea if it's worth buying it but not.
motors, tranny tend to be noisy. Hard to comment on the knock. Keep in mind the preventative maintenances , if not already done, and those coming shortly due. Work that into price. Try to find a Vic mechanic and bring the bike there before buying.
Very helpful video, thank you! I’m new to motorcycles and Victory both! Got a beautiful ‘06 Vegas, it runs great, only thing is, when it’s all warmed up and riding, and I let off the throttle to slow down/stop, sometimes it shuts off…so I’ve learned when decelerating to continue giving it a little gas while in neutral. I don’t know if this is normal, I’m very new! Maybe I’ll try some of the cleaning tips in this vid just for good measure.
Check the 2 rubber vacuum caps under the right cheese wedge for cracks. Very common. Check the throttle body connector. With bike idling spray with WD40 around the rubber part working your way up. If the idle slows you got a bad boot. Does the bike idle smooth, or sound low and kind of stumbles. Might need throttle body cleaning. Always do the basic things first before dumping money into it. If you have mods on the engine a tuner will do you good, but find the issue first. Good luck!
This was a big help with my 2002 V92C Deluxe. One thing though ... From my bike, I get whirrs and sounds that I wonder... is that right? Your music is so loud that I cannot hear the sound of your subject bike. So, everyone is is critic, right? Just sayin, maybe a tutorial on 'sounds' would be fun for you to make. Do it over a year or so of working on broken bikes? Peace.
I’ve got an 03 v92 that when shifting in 4th in bangs and clunks real bad. 5th barely does it at low rpms. Would it be better to swap the motor and trans or try and fix it
Great Info thanks, I have an 05 Vegas it keeps cutting out when hot while riding and if you shut it off hot it won't restart for 30 minutes, backfires and spits till cooled down ? any info you can give would help, my personal bike, Cars i can do in my sleep, been a auto tech for 41 years but cars
So I have a problem with my last gear it's a 02 v92tc so b4 I changed the oil after it sat for a year I took it for a test just see how it's doing I noticed that the last gear (5th) it feels like the chattering but only once I get over 3k rpms what is your take on this issue I'm changing the oil tommorow an seeing if that fixes it but I just don't if I take it out will mess it up
We have a 2004 Victory Vegas and we have a squeeling in the back end. We are having a hard aligning the back tire. The belt is rubbing. Any tips on how to get the belt to stop squeeling?
First clean the belt and pulleys. Brush, soapy water. Wheel adjusters at the ends of the frame. Use right side to adjust belt tension then left side adjuster to align belt.(wheel off ground spin it. Belt too far right loosen adjuster. Belt riding to left side, tighten adjuster. Simplified instruction.
Rylan I'm interested in haveing my own fuel pressure guage for my 16 CCT and 07 Kingpin , is there someway of telling what size of scrader valve female connector I need for both bikes to connect a guage to them? Thanks
I'm mainly wanting to be able to hear my engine over the wind noise when I'm riding down the road. I can't hear the stock exhaust over about 30 mph, or so.
just about any after market exhaust will do that for you...find one that looks good...remember the longer it is the less you will get popping on deceleration
great video got a question my oil light and engine light is on and bike will not start after it gets hot about 50 miles of riding it's an 03 victory vegas any thoughts on what could be the problem
Just bring it up or down to where the motor is running nice and steady. if the idle starts to run too slow and not a a consistent pace bring it up. Don't try to make it a Harley with the the po ta to sound. No good for oil pressure.
the first thing you have to do when you own a victory is take it to the Harley dealer and trade it in.. I bought avictory highball. and within a few months the voltage regulator went the bike was in the shop for over a month because they couldn't get the part then the same part went bad again and this year the fuel pump went on a bike that's only two years old... I fell for the okie-doke I believe that they were going to be more reliable than a Harley I was wrong and now that the went out of business the bike is worthless I spent $17,000 and it's worth like five now in only two years
I miss Victory so much.
As a new 07 jackpot owner, i LOVE your channel. Thanks so much for posting this.

Any chance you could do a video detailing more of the Gas Tank removal? I have an '06 Vegas and have had issues getting mine off in the past.
Looking for a video of fuel pressure regulator replacement on a Jackpot. Coming up empty. Thought it was in the fuel tank.

I have a 2000 victory v92c sc . How do you figure out the timing lever on the handle bars it looks like it would be the choke but it's not.
I wished I would have seen this video 6 months ago. I did the THOTTLE RESET and the bike runs SOO much better
Your videos are great. I have an 09 hammer, need help with 2nd gear slippage, please help I'm worried, thanks.

I have a 2011 Kingpin 8-Ball. Need to change speed sensor. Do you have any videos on it?
Bought a bike for cheap because it didnt run good.I just did all in video and bike runs 👍 👌. Thanks just in time for riding season. 03 vegas

Curious what you found. Loose battery cables or weak battery?
I have a 2002 v92c and the diagnostic plug has numbers n I don't know witch 2 to cross with clip to set the tps
So I have a problem with my last gear it's a 02 v92tc so b4 I changed the oil after it sat for a year I took it for a test just see how it's doing I noticed that the last gear (5th) it feels like the chattering but only once I get over 3k rpms what is your take on this issue I'm changing the oil tommorow an seeing if that fixes it but I just don't if I take it out will mess it up
Great video! I should bring you my 2003 Victory V92C
Did not know " Throttle Point reset" worth the video.
I start the bike with the lever on and then lower it as it gets hot. Is that the right way to do it?
Great Video. How much of this would you applies to a 99 V92C?
+MrDanielAndresen Very little, but I hope to make a V92 version later in the 2016 season.
vicbuilder okay well looking forward to it. And thanks for the quick response.
Do you have a turtorial on how to upgrade the god awful blinkers
We have a 2004 Victory Vegas and we have a squeeling in the back end. We are having a hard aligning the back tire. The belt is rubbing. Any tips on how to get the belt to stop squeeling?

Great job and info
Started my bike first time this year, 2007 Kingpin, new battery, just installed, check engine light on, help?
Great video thanks
Rylan I'm interested in haveing my own fuel pressure guage for my 16 CCT and 07 Kingpin , is there someway of telling what size of scrader valve female connector I need for both bikes to connect a guage to them?
Thanks
Is none on your 16, no way to check it.
I'm mainly wanting to be able to hear my engine over the wind noise when I'm riding down the road. I can't hear the stock exhaust over about 30 mph, or so.
just about any after market exhaust will do that for you...find one that looks good...remember the longer it is the less you will get popping on deceleration
Give it more throttle!
How did you take the throttle body boot out?
best shock for a victory v92tc 2004
THANKS for your help!
I have a '05 Hammer and can't locate the idle/throttle screw. The previous owner put in a S&S air filter. Could it have been relocated?
found it behind some hose and cables.
great video got a question my oil light and engine light is on and bike will not start after it gets hot about 50 miles of riding it's an 03 victory vegas any thoughts on what could be the problem
Dhaaa ...
I have 2007 victory hammer and oil cooling system is leaking. what do you think I should do?
you showed the throttlebody boot out but did not show removing the throttle body. need more info
and why do you not go back to 01's
Could anyone tell me where I could get a bigger rim and tire for my 2004 victory Vegas?
I'm looking at an 03 TC 31k and $3000., is this worth buying?
How you supposed to check idle, being that there is no tak meter?
Just bring it up or down to where the motor is running nice and steady. if the idle starts to run too slow and not a a consistent pace bring it up. Don't try to make it a Harley with the the po ta to sound. No good for oil pressure.
My king ping 2007 is leaking oil from the top of the engine 🤦🏻♂️
how do you debaffle a 2004 kingpin stock exhaust?
What type of oil does a 2003 Victory Vegas take?
How would I remove the ignition from a 2002 victory? Tutorial please?
t
Thanks man needed some of this info!
Where are you guys located
How does one adjust the rear suspension?
the 106 Didn't come out yet
Great vid
Thank you. I got 02 V92tc deluxe
I just got one as well. Really good info.
