Thanks for the video bud , going off your information I have a 66 gloss version,I bought from a lady last week ,she said it's been Sat in a pulldown cupboard for the last 50+ years,it's nearly in mint condition but unfortunately no box but it's absolutely fantastic condition!👍😊(UK)
I just went digging through an old box and found my Batmobile from when I was a kid. I was born in 1963 and mine appears to be the matt black version (1966). It's very beaten up but it's now on the shelf.
I was given one of these when I was 4 , when I had my tonsils out, lost it in a move when I was 7. I would guess it was the second generation, but might have been the first. Great video.
That is great that you had one. Thank you for watching. You can pick one up on Ebay but a nice one is usually pretty pricey, or you can be like me and buy one cheep to restore.
Bought the new gloss black re-issue!! When it arrives I'll shoot a comparison vid on my channel as well! I own a '78 (April) 267 in pristine condition. Me Gran bought it for me in June of '78. Great vid thanks for sharing!
Glad to hear you are getting the re-release. I have the gloss black and matt black re-release and am waiting on the Hornby toys tow hook re-release. Hope to get it soon. Thanks for watching, I will be looking for your video.
Thank you for making this video. I had what was probably the second version when I was a kid. A couple years ago, I bought a restored batmobile and I thought that the flame was broken. I was very disappointed that the seller didn't mention the deficiency. After seeing your video, I have learned that they did away with that moving flame feature. I am very relieved that it isn't broken.
I've just found one in a skip bin and it's the fifth version. There was a box of die-cast cars in there and this one bought back memories so I pulled them out. Thanks for the video
Great analysis from this classic. I had one from the first version and also the bat boat as a gift from my father. He bougth lots to sell here in Brazil. Thanks a lot.
This is a wonderful work of research. Variants really are the most fascinating aspect of collecting, but their origins and the reasons for them can often be lost in time, so I am very pleased to have learned new things from this video. The third version as seen here, with the exhaust port extended to include the tow-hook, must have been part of the Corgi Gift Set with the Batboat that was issued soon after the original release of the Batmobile alone, as shown in versions one and two. The Batmobile was never sold on its own with the tow-hook. A few months after the release of the Gift Set, the Batboat was issued separately, for the benefit of those who had already bought the Batmobile, and complete with a plastic adaptor sleeve, incorporating the tow-hook, that fitted over the Batmobile's exhaust port. Finding that adaptor sleeve today is a real challenge for collectors, at least at a realistic price. Any examples I have seen on eBay recently are grossly expensive, including some that are clearly not original as described. In reality, the cast-in tow-hook in the third version would have been a bad design, since it would act as a deflector that would have directed the exhaust flames upwards and on to the hull of the Batboat, not a good idea for a seaworthy vessel, but in the real Batboat's only appearance, it was never attached to the Batmobile. That unlikely assembly only ever existed in the marketing of the model by Corgi and in its subsequent derivatives.
Thank you for the info! The elusive Corgi Batmobile! I always wanted that toy but it was never in stores when I was a kid. A neighborhood kid had one. It was about 1973...I saw it was bigger than a hot wheels car, then I never saw one again....even to this day! It’s up there with the Remco Lost in Space Robot. I finally got one of those but that’s another story.
Thank you and thanks for watching. I love those old Corgi Batmobiles. I had that Lost in Space robot when I was a kid too but I don'y know what ever became of it.
rwheatley0206 , awesome! I think I’ll get a beat up one on eBay and make it as close to the 1st version as I can...flat black paint, blue canopy...there seem to be lots of repro parts...what a cool car! I just want to fix one up and roll it across my desk at work, lol!!
Your video was most informative. I was fortunate enough to pick up the third version at a local flea market a couple of days ago. It needs extensive renovation, however I have wanted one of these cars since they came out so I am not daunted by the task. The mechanical parts still work but the front suspension is broken and most of the plastic components are finished. Miraculously Batman is still present so there is hope. Thanks for the in-depth analysis it answered most of my "questions". Brian
Thank you for watching. I am glad it was helpful. I am very happy that you were able to find one. They are not to hard to restore. There are some restoration videos on TH-cam and I am preparing to restore one now and plan on doing a video of that restoration. You can buy replacement parts on ebay.
Still have my one with the silver rims it came with the Batboat... can't find it's trailer... great toys of the 70s... got some die cast army tanks as well , leopard, chieftain and a Tiger 1...
@@rwheatley0206 I forgot it was the set that came with the Batcopter... loved picking things up with that winch... 1975ish. Good times in Aussie back then.... did Corgi bring outa TIME MACHINE..
@@mldav4 That's awesome. I'm not sure if they came out with the time machine or not. I know they had the man from uncle, the yellow submarine, the monkeymobile, chitty chitty bang bang , and 007's Austin Martin and several others though.
Thank you very much. I need to update because there is a 7th version I was not aware of at the time and I am trying to find one of those now. I just bought a couple more to restore as well.
Cool info! I clearly remember my parents getting me a "new" Batmobile to replace my beat up 2nd version. I was 8, and remember thinking "what's with these red wheels, and why doesn't the flame go in and out?" Fun times! I held onto that red wizzwheels Batmobile (with the bat boat), and sold them about 10 years ago for $100! Used that money to buy a 1966 matt Batmobile that I still have.
Thanks, you've confirmed my suspicion that I've just bought an unrestored (in pretty bad state) first edition. I'll need to clean it up a bit to make sure.
I had one of the first 2 ... can't remember if it was gloss or flat black ... Played with it so much it was almost destroyed by the time i was finished with it ...the windows were broken the wheels did not turn anymore and the chain slicer did not come out either.. also lost the batman ... use to fire match sticks from the rocket launchers ... damn i loved that car ....
Ohh love all of these. I do have some in storage I have to get out and do a video. I think I have the first Batmobile you showed. Awesome collection, I'm happy you have all these, and thanks for sharing these. I really enjoyed this! Big thumbs up.
I do have a picture of the middles. I only have 1 set of Rockets that came with my 1975 version. I can send you the picture through an email if you want to give that out.
Wasn't the biggest fan of the original batman series...but I will still watch it! 😉..just to enjoy the nostalgia of those times aswell as having respect for the cast/actors and actresses...the car was pretty cool in all honesty...those first 3 corgi batmobiles were the best...you can't beat rubber tires...those made you're toy/model car feel real plus they just look better...older toys in general were pretty amazing (I envy what my Uncles/Dad had when they were young) you couldn't break them unless you actually tried...wish I could get one of the first originals but I don't have the room for it at the moment lol...maybe one day I'll get myself one...very nice review though and was interesting to see the other variants and the changes that we're made. 👍
There was another early version with red pin striping on the bodywork, rubber Goodyear branded tyres too. It had all the other features on your early models, gloss black paint job. the"rockets" were orange iirc.
Never heard of that before. Thanks for sharing. I have heard there was a knock off version by another company that used the same body as the corgi but I have never seen one in person.
Great video and very informative, thank you for posting this. I have the second version and had to pay a few hundred dollars for it a couple of years ago. It’s almost mint and in the original box with the instructions and original rockets still on the sprue. Very happy with this model !
I have a 4th version since ... sometime in the 70s. and woud like to restore it. At the moment, I don't have the time and equipment. But I will try to do it. Latest, when I go for retirement :)). Thank you for your informative vid. Maybe I can find other versions on fleemarkets arraound and turn to be a collector :). Thanks for the vid !!!!
Thank you for watching. That is great that you have one. Good luck finding other versions. They are out there. I have bought several off Ebay for very little money. You can also get the replacement parts on Ebay.
Thank you for your question. I assume you are talking about the orange windshield for the superpowers Batmobile. I have seen them on ebay and not very often. Sometimes you will find the entire car on ebay fairly cheep with one side or the other broken. I bought one that way to fix one if mine. Which one do you need. I may have a spare.
Great video mate 👍 I have one that has all the signs of the second version deep holes front and back but comes with a silver tow hook not sure if the hook was added on after or not ?
My favorite would probably e the very first version because it was matt black and it is very rare. Only made for a few months. Prices can very but if you get one that is mint in box you could pay upwards of 500.00 especially for the 1966 version but the newer ones you can usually get for under 200.00. If you are looking to get one to restore, you can get them under 50.00. Thank you for watching and for your question.
Corgi Model Club USA is preparing to re-release this Batmobile. I think pre-orders are next month and it comes out in October. You might want to check it out. Thanks for watching.
KERPOW!!!" HOLY BATMOBILE BATMAN DID YOU KNOW THERE WERE SO MANY MODELS?" WELL ACTUALLY ROBIN I DIDN'T" All great stuff, Thank you. You know why the early models were Matt black l'm sure.
That is correct. None of them came out with any red stipes on them. Thank you for watching. Another interesting thing is, when the last few were built before they stopped making them, they put them together with whatever parts they had left over so some of them ended up with a blue dash because they had not been chromed yet. Some also had the wrong logo on the side of the car. It was a yellow oval with the black bat in the middle. I would love to find one of those. Very rare.
I have never heard of that one. It may have been an error car. In all my research and even in the books out there, it has never been mentioned. Thank you for watching.
@@rwheatley0206 Thank you for your reply. I own one circa 1980. I thought it may have been one of the assembly guys doing it for a laugh? Maybe one day it will be worth something?
@@deankuball1228 That could be the case. That would be considered an error model and those are worth a lot of money even in the hot wheels type cars. On 6/17/24, Corgi is releasing the Corgi 267 Batmobile again for pre-order. Go to corgimodelclubUSA.com and if you join the club, you will be able to order the matt black version too. I don't know if you can order the matt black version on 6/17 but anyone can order the gloss black version that day. They also have a facebook page that tells more about it. Let me know if you get one. The pre-order is supposed to ship out in October.
Nothing about the windscreen variations? Also, excepting the red tyre version, anything without the bat-logo on the wheel rims was called the Whizz-wheels version - there was just the narrow and wide versions.
@@nigellaubsch4499 No problem and no need for apologies. There are other things I have learned about the Corgi 267 Batmobile sense I made that video that I didn't know then.
The antennae is longer on the 4th one...also, the headlights are not yellow. The bats on the wheels of the first one are slightly different than # 2. I have one of the first three, not sure which one, as it's in a box with all my other Corgis, one of which is the car from Speed Racer. I also have an original Green Hornet car.
When I first saw the ads for the new Corgi Batmobile, I thought a real flame came out of the back like a cigarette lighter and was disappointed to find that it's only a moving plastic flame.
Thank you for the question. The first three versions were for the most part blue or Aqua as they call it, however there were a few, and I mean very few that had the aqua green canopy but I think only in 1966. You could get the clear, blue, green and purple in the 1975 and 1976 versions but still was mostly blue.
Just bought a couple in fine condition. However one has the chipped "glass" i have found a way of replacing it without taking base off after seeing an altered glass for sale. I have done the same . Carefully remove all the broken glass with nose pliers , and very fine jewellers screwdriver without damaging the paint or interior. Buy a new canopy and remove the side parts with very fine hacksaw . Then dremel off the protruding lip off the rear glass you can tgen insert the new glass at an angle into the front then lower the rear and it will sit plush , just a dot of glue at rear . The side parts can then be pushed back in if desired for an unoticeable repair job. If you take your time nobody will ever know , and still you have original rivetted base. There is an example of an altered glass on ebay . I cant tell mine has been changed , as i took my time and now the value wont drop like the ones that have been pulled apart. The dash and steering wheel might drop out getting the old glass out but thats easily fixed after😅
Just discovered your wonderful video and research explaining the differences. I happened upon it after finding my Corgi, given to me by my Grandad ca. '66 in Montreal, Canada. It has the black plastic wheels, red logo, and dark background behind it. Also, the doors tha the red batman logos. The exhaust still moves but no tow hook was attached. Also, the top tip of signal light above the cockpit is red. I have, miraculously, both figures (B &R) too, none the worse for wear. The chain cutter/battering ram still works and the top rear fin is point. The vehicle is flat black orginal in great shape but the blue plastic canopy windscreen is cracked and has a chip taken out. Would love to get it restored as it hold terrific memories but this version will do for now. It is made in Great Britain but did Corgi export other versions than those you've shown? As mine seems to be a mid to later version. Thanks for your work.
What you are describing sounds like the first version sense it is matt black and has the moving flame in the back, no tow hook and red wheel hubs. The later versions did not have a moving flame or red bat hubs and had the tow hook. The matt black version was only made for a few months in 1966. Thanks for watching and glad to hear you still have one.
The glass of the Batmobile is clear on top you have a circling red light on the arch you have a lever that spun the car around Don't forget the Don't forget the intenet for the batphone
Thanks for watching and for the question. The 8 spoke with black tires went from 1973 to 1975. 1973 had bald tires and in 1974 the had both bald and tires with tread. I hope this helps.
Hi, I'm in the process of buying up tatty cars and doing them up to factory standard. Ive got all the main versions and the after market red wheels to make up a copy of the red wheel version (very hard to find an original). I wonder can you add other points to the timeline such as when the front indicators went from yellow to orange and also can you confirm when the 8 spoke version was made? Lastly, I've also made a homage to the gold version made in very low numbers by the factory for VIP visitors!
That is awesome. Good luck on your quest. I will see what I can do about the things you have requested. I would love to find one of those Gold cars. Like you said, there were very few of those made. Thanks for watching. I also have a couple of Corgi Batmobiles that I will be restoring hopefully soon and I plan on doing a video of the restoration.
I’m not sure how old I was when I got one of these as a young boy in the early 70s, I’m thinking maybe I was 6 years old. And, I’m not sure which version I had. Unfortunately, I’ve just now found this video many years after it was first posted. I’ve just purchased a first edition in mat black in superb unrestored condition with such awesome patina. However, it has a chip in the windshield piece at the top of the passenger side window nacelle (behind where Robin’s head would be). The only thing I’m going to do with it is replace the windshield piece. But of course, that requires doing a lot of things that would potentially take away from the otherwise unrestored nature of this wonderful example, including drilling out the bottom rivets. I would not bother doing anything if the windshield piece merely had visible cracks and not an obvious chip out of it. Here’s the idea that I had that perhaps someone in a similar situation may find helpful (to the extent this is not something others have already long since also been doing for their restorations): I’m going to buy a super inexpensive donor model in terrible condition, cut it open from the top even though the donor car will be utterly destroyed, and then get all the metal rivets out from the donor car in preserved condition to replace the rivets I’ll need to drill out. Haven’t yet decided how I’ll affix the preserved rivets from the donor car onto the bottom of the good car, but I’ll figure it out once I sort of get to that point. I’m a collector, not a merchant. I’ll never sell the good car and this is not something I’m doing in any way whatsoever to increase the dollar value of the good car. Really, I’m the only person who will ever see the bottom of it in my lifetime. And, I definitely don’t want to see something like six screws there instead of six rivets. I’ll likely preserve and use the internal rivets from the donor car also just to be consistent, unless I find out doing so is way more difficult than I think it will be.
Yes I think the 2nd version with bat hubs and the version with narrow wizwheels had a package with the car and boat together. There was also a 3 pack that included the car, boat and Batcopter. Thanks for watching.
@@michaelhutin5451 Yes Version 1 was 1966 only, version 2 was 1966 and 1967, version 3 was 1967 to 1972, version 4 was 1967 only, version 5 was 1973 to 1976, version 6 was 1976 to 1979, and version 7 was 1979 to 1983.
Hi, Very interesting video :-) !!! I Wonder if You can help me to solve a "big mystery" of my life : i can remember very well that i own a batmobile toy in the early 70s (i was probably 7-8 years old, i was born in 1966) : probably my parents bought it when i was even younger and it was quite identical to Corgi models but ... it was SMALLER ... No rockets if my memory doesn't fail (i remember that the very small tubes were closed) but maybe the micro frontal blade was working (i was i child, i repeat, maybe my memory is partially failing). A few years later i saw the larger corgi version showed in many toys shop but i never found that micro-version i had ... any idea about it ? Thank You in advance ...
Help me. I think I'm losing my mind. I just got 3 1/43 scale Corgi Batmobiles. And they seem to be smaller than the one I remember owning when I was about 12 years old. Did Corgi ever make a larger TV show Batmobile about 6 1/2 inches long and 3 inches wide? Cause I swear it was a much bigger car. Other things from my childhood like MEGO action figures and Aurora Monster models seem to have their size within reason of my memory.
The Corgi 267 Batmobile is 1/43 scale and is the largest corgi made. They did make a smaller version, a 1/64 scale but none larger. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching.
Thanks for watching. No detachable parts other that the tow hook for the early version that did not have a tow hook. You can get the figures out of the seats but that is it.
I'm guessing you're North American from your accent, so how did you get your first Batmobile in the US, as Corgi is a British company? Where they available in the shops or did you have to pay more to get it delivered from the UK? Didn't any American toy companies make Batmobiles? Sorry mate, lots of questions, but a really interesting vid!
Thank you for watching. Yes I bought my first one in 1975 brand new along with the boat and the helicopter. The were sold here in the US at places like Wolsey's Toys in Evansville, Indiana. They were sold here from the first one in 1966 until the last one in 1983. There were some other companies that produced them in the US but they were larger and plastic. Then you had the tin Batmobiles that were mostly produced in Japan. Not sure if any tin cars were made in US. Then after 1983, no one made any 1966 Batmobiles until I believe 2007 when Hot Wheels started making them. They are still producing Hot Wheels versions today. Thank you for the questions.
How do you feel about the '89 Batmobile? It's been my favourite since the movie first came out. Just a beautiful, sculptural object. Thanks for the video man, very interesting 😁
There is another batmobile model [not shown in your line-up] after the red tyre model, which has similar 8-spoke wheels but with black tyres and a slightly different batman logo on doors. Rumours are that the red tyres was a result of the Mettoy plant in Swansea running out of black tyres, so they used red instead.
Yes, I have seen the one that has the oval Bat logo on it. Thank you for watching and commenting. I wasn't sure about the claim of the red tires when I heard it at first many years ago but it does make sense I guess.
Man I loved this video!! Great info on those batmobiles.they look in really good shape for as old as they are.did the figures come with those? I wonder why they did the red tires on the one? I want to buy batman 66 on DVD at Wal-Mart.take care my friend keep that bat knowledge comming!
Interesting: mine seems to fall between your versions 2 and 3. It has all the features of 2, except it does have an integrated tail hook. The hook is pot metal, whereas your v3 looks like it might be brass or painted gold?
Thank you for watching. The tail hook on mine is a type of pot metal as well that has been plated. All the original parts had a goldish plating on them as does the chain slicer and the button on the hood that trips the chain slicer. Appreciate your comments.
Hopefully you get notified for comments still. It looks like a large Robin in version 5, as his head is close to the top of canopy and he looks the same size as Batman. In version six, the small glimpse of Robin, seemed smaller. You need to take both Robins out and compare them. Be careful with the version 5 car as if it is the big Robin, it will be difficult to get out. Pull his head sideways, towards the top of the door and then you can manoeuvre him out. If he is the larger one, it is the very rare one and used in the first version matt black car ONLY. (2 month run in 1967). Smaller Robin was used in gloss black onwards. He was made smaller to go with the re-modelled Batman for the Batcopter but he did not fit in so they carried on using the smaller Robin in all gloss black Batmobiles. After the box colour change in 1981, no batmobile had Robin in it.
I know about the larger Robin being in the first series car but I never paid any attention to the one in my version 5 car. I will have to check it out. Thank you for noticing that and thanks for watching.
You missed a version out there was a version that had the gold bat hubs but had short tale tips that were filled in . Possibly only 50 were made was probably made to use up parts left over before the red wheeler came out. Good video though.
Thank you. I am not sure about the res spot wheels. I do know that the only ones that had red on the corgi's were the ones with the red bats and the ones with the red tires. I did find out after doing this video that there is a 7th version that I do not have yet But it id hard to distinguish it from the 6th version however it only had either a Purple canopy or a clear but they did use those 2 canopies on other versions as well. Also not long ago, I saw a picture of the 1st prototype. Thank you for watching. I just bought a couple of the older versions to restore. When I get started on them, I will do a restoration video.
@@rwheatley0206 I just bought two red hubs unboxed without towbar in gloss unboxed in V good condition with both figures for £90.00. Does that sound about right to you. I'm also bidding on a A A condition for about £250.00.
@@chrisattwood6122 That don't sound like a bad price at all. The figures will usually cost you 15 to 20 US dollars each and if the cars are in very good condition, sounds like you got a deal. Congrats on your purchase. I would love to see them.
@@rwheatley0206 Two unboxed early edition Batmobiles in VG condition for £90 ? Think that comes to around 2-300 US $. That sounds too good to be true unless I'm misunderstanding something. Aren't they going for around a $1,000 ??
Ither differences were that they changed to colour of the glass. Corginused the red plastic wheels to "Brighten" up the car a bit after deciding to lose the gold wheels with the red bat spinners. (This is a similar executive decision to that made in relation to the James Bind Aston Martin...painting it gold rather than authentic silver. Corgi executives believed that it would aell in silver because it might look like they hadnt bothered to paint the model). They were wrong. The JB car would have sold in its millions as it did in gold. The red wheel Batmobile wasnt well received, certainly in the UK anyway. The red wheels made it look "cheap" and not authentic....they went to plastic wheels pretty soon aftetwards. In addition to your collection it is worth looking at the Corgi Model Club version which is a faithfull reproduction of the original and available from September 2024. Club members are issued with the matt black, (although this more satin black than true matt as was the original), version whilst non club members can buy the gloss black car. Before anybody gets too agitated there is no way that the reproduction can be passed off as an original. It is a faithfull replica but the box is glossier and has all the modern day health & safety and trademark requirements on the underside. The car also has "made in china" on the base....the original version was made in england. So whilst a re-issue it is definitely worth adding to your collection if you are a Batmobile fan and these re-issues are beginning to build a following by collectors aleady. The Batmodile is the latest re-issue of a number of re-issues of Corgi Toys classics from the 60's and 70's. Worth checking out the Corgi Model Club website. ( I'm a fan and not affilliated to the Corgi Model Club)

Thank you for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed the video. There are always new things to learn about these amazing cars. Thanks for watching.
@@MusicStudent1 Lol, it is a lot of fun restoring them.

Awesome, Thanks for watching.
It's been a few decades but if I remember correctly I had the 2nd version you showed back in the mid to late sixties.
That is awesome. I still have the original 2 cars I bought in the mid 70's.

That is awesome. Glad you were able to find the older version again. Thanks for watching.

Do you have any original rockets for the launcher? Any pictures available to reproduce them?
I do have a picture of the middles. I only have 1 set of Rockets that came with my 1975 version. I can send you the picture through an email if you want to give that out.
Thank you for a very good post

It had all the other features on your early models, gloss black paint job. the"rockets" were orange iirc.

is the blue batmobile on the left a collectible? I have one in a box in my attic. the front bumper pops out as a battering ram.
Yes, that is the super powers Batmobile from the mid 80's. It is very collectible.
Which was is your favorite and whats the values do they hold?
My favorite would probably e the very first version because it was matt black and it is very rare. Only made for a few months. Prices can very but if you get one that is mint in box you could pay upwards of 500.00 especially for the 1966 version but the newer ones you can usually get for under 200.00. If you are looking to get one to restore, you can get them under 50.00. Thank you for watching and for your question.
Back in the day I had the second version witht the moving flame and minus any wacky tow bar.

@@rwheatley0206 l thought you would know. Thanks
I’ve noticed that none of the corgi versions had the red/orange piping around the body unlike the car in the original series?
That is correct. None of them came out with any red stipes on them. Thank you for watching. Another interesting thing is, when the last few were built before they stopped making them, they put them together with whatever parts they had left over so some of them ended up with a blue dash because they had not been chromed yet. Some also had the wrong logo on the side of the car. It was a yellow oval with the black bat in the middle. I would love to find one of those. Very rare.
Does anyone know anything about the Corgi Batmobile with the forward facing rocket launcher??
I've only seen one.

what version would i have in 1968 - 1969 with a flame that moved? #998th subscriber
If it was from 1967 to 1972 it would be version 3.
Nothing about the windscreen variations?
Also, excepting the red tyre version, anything without the bat-logo on the wheel rims was called the Whizz-wheels version - there was just the narrow and wide versions.
Actually I do mention the different color windscreens and the wheels in this video. Thanks for watching.
@@rwheatley0206 yes, yes you did mention the windscreen variations - I have no idea how I missed that the first time around. I apologise mate

I have always wanted Black Beauty and never got it. I will have to start looking for one of those. It is a cool car. Thanks for watching.
Nice! I had a Green Hornet car that was confiscated by my 3rd grade teacher - and I never saw it again!
Cool man, I would have liked to have known the release year for each incarnation
I hit on that somewhat in this video but not much. You can learn more at this website. www.batmobile.free.fr/English/Intro_267.htm
When I first saw the ads for the new Corgi Batmobile, I thought a real flame came out of the back like a cigarette lighter and was disappointed to find that it's only a moving plastic flame.
That would have been cool lol. Thank you for watching.
Were the clear parts always blue on the first three versions?
Thank you for the question. The first three versions were for the most part blue or Aqua as they call it, however there were a few, and I mean very few that had the aqua green canopy but I think only in 1966. You could get the clear, blue, green and purple in the 1975 and 1976 versions but still was mostly blue.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. Great video.
@@sophiemac1632 No problem. Glad to do it.
Just picked up the 3rd version with batboat and trailer
That's awesome. I hope you got a good deal on it.
The dash and steering wheel might drop out getting the old glass out but thats easily fixed after😅
Bear in mind some of these came from the factory with chipped paint or cracked "glass" . Defects were normal.
I would love to own an example of each edition????
I got it for Christmas in '66 or' 67 and I wish I had it now but I have Polar Lights 1/25 kit with resin cast Batman and Robin figs I'm building now!
Awesome, I am glad I still have my original Corgi's. Enjoy building that model.
I have the first one and I have Batman and Robin , and the fins are still complete wonder how much is worth though
Thank you for watching. Check them out on Ebay. The prices there go for hundreds of dollars if they are in good shape.
The glass of the Batmobile is clear on top you have a circling red light on the arch you have a lever that spun the car around Don't forget the Don't forget the intenet for the batphone
Hi do you know when the 8 spoke silver and black wheels came out?
Wow thanks for that. I think mine must have been version 1 or 2 as it had the moving flame, but nor the trailer hook.
Awesome, glad you enjoyed it. Do you still have yours? Tanks for watching.
@@rwheatley0206 Its still around at my mum's somewhere, but seen better days. Been well played with by my nephews and nieces.
Congrats on getting a matt black car. Good luck with your rebuild.
There is also a version with a speedboat behind it
Yes I think the 2nd version with bat hubs and the version with narrow wizwheels had a package with the car and boat together. There was also a 3 pack that included the car, boat and Batcopter. Thanks for watching.

You may have had the 1/64th scale Huskey Batmobile ore the 1/64 scale Corgi jr. Batmobile.
@@rwheatley0206 Thank You very much, You're very kind ! I will check ... :-)
@@rwheatley0206 Thanks for answering. I guess my hands have grown larger than I thought.
Everything begins to look smaller as you get older😉
Excellent. There are no small parts that are detachable on any version then?
Thanks for watching. No detachable parts other that the tow hook for the early version that did not have a tow hook. You can get the figures out of the seats but that is it.
Which ones had both Batman and robin in it?
They all came with both originally. Thanks for watching.
No aerials?
@@rwheatley0206 Even your information is interesting! Thanks.

How do you feel about the '89 Batmobile? It's been my favourite since the movie first came out. Just a beautiful, sculptural object. Thanks for the video man, very interesting 😁
Thanks for watching. I love the 89 Batmobile.

Same with mine.It was a Gulf Oil promotional premium...original Gulf logo stickers on tail fins still in excellent condition.
Hola muy buenas piezas twngo uno original para restaurar o lo cambiaria x un bugatti 1926 color celeste
Thank you and thanks for watching.

Great video, what about the red spot wheel version. Very rare.
Ither differences were that they changed to colour of the glass. Corginused the red plastic wheels to "Brighten" up the car a bit after deciding to lose the gold wheels with the red bat spinners.
