- This is just a cute/goofy little skit starring our adorable samoyed Arya. We put her through "sailing school" so she could skipper a boat whenever she felt like it.
This is just a skit and the dog was not actually responsible for operation of the boat at any point in time. (or was she??? )

She almost had the knot tied there at the end of the rope when she flung it around... close...lol
We might legitimately teach her how to undo cleat hitches on the dock. That could be useful!

You should try Lake Travis. I feel Lake Travis is more challenging then Canyon Lake because of gusty wind and quick wind direction change etc.

My dog Jake and I watched this together and I gave him a dirty look as he can barely drive the car nm sail. He walked away in a huff and slammed the door after grabbing the car keys and then sped off. Thanks for the vid

When the instructor asked her for her homework, she said her human ate it. She complained the first time sailing a mono was ruff, but can't wait to get her paws on a cat! Fair winds guys.

Yes, we really have a 140 LB dog and he goes on the boat with us, we also have a 70 LB dog and a African Grey Parrot so we actually have a floating zoo.
Arya is awesome! My retired racing Greyhound (Darwin) is in love with her;) I've told him long distance relationships can be difficult at best but he won't listen (we are south east coast UK) If you ever in this part of the world (I recommend summer;) he would be chuffed to go for walkies on the beach with her!
Unfortunatley he's just too big to take him on a sail boat despite my love of boating and skinny as he is I can't pick him up (42 kilo's) He sends LOTS of wags an licks! B-)

Hi! It was on Canyon Lake in TX. But its really a joke, there isn't any real doggie sailing school, at least none that we know of. Maybe we should make one!
