Hi, this is Officer Leo, it was a pleasure to meet you outside US Custom House in Philly few weeks ago and I have been a subscriber to your channel for several years and al ways enjoy your videos.
I’ve noticed Ed walks around in a circle whenever he’s stressed or having to think about what to do next when it comes to boating Decisions, he looks like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs
Almost sank in the Choptank River. Muffler box cracked. Shut down the srtbd engine. Slowed the flow.. Will update later when it gets back in the water. Service shops busy so it may be a season ender. 😞 be safe out there guys!
We took on some water this week, while we were at our land house, and our bilge was unknowingly disconnected. Fortunately, a neighboring boat heard the bilge alarm, went on the boat and solved the problem. I will be in an upcoming video I', sure.
I know this isn't an "expense" video but if you could,,, I am taking possession of a 68' yacht (71' with the swim platform) in a couple weeks and a haul out is imminent. What is a reasonable cost for haul out and maybe a day on the hard (to do full hull inspection)?
We have only hauled out twice. It will probably be in the $500 to $800 range, including power washing. Not many marinas can haul a boat that size so the cost is higher.
There is a small marine store in Georgetown Exuma Bahamas the store is called top and bottom store fun place to go and look around lots of stuff there.
Just have to say I enjoy the videos a lot. Your videos are pretty much exactly what I and my better half have in mind and we just made a deal for a 68' yacht. One thing i am curious about is that you seem to use slips a lot as opposed to anchoring out. Is there a reason other than preference? Is it that hard to find acceptable anchorage?
Finding anchorages is usually easy. We can almost always find a slip as well. We like meeting people, going to restaurants and exploring new places. That leads us to getting slips often. We sometimes anchor out and take the dinghy to town, but that can be time consuming. We are often only staying for the night. It is different when we go to the Bahamas. There, we just tow the tender behind us and anchor out all the time.

You're late!

What I’ve learned after watching for several years is that if you’re not mechanically and electrically adept yachting may be almost impossible to do.
It definitely helps. And saves you a lot of money.
Never bad to end a good video with a good Bourbon..cheers!
I agree!
Enjoy! Regards, Conway
Thanks!
Nice job guys - Thanks!!

The good news is the tender , an 11ft Whaler, is fixed. Thats an expensive slip for it but oh well.

Like your channel. It's Wardrick Wells, not Weldrick Cay 🙂
It is actually Warderick Wells Cay. I guess we are both partially wrong.
I didn’t know Triton was a sailboat as the guys look like they are three sheets to the wind!!! Cheers!
got some groovy music in this episode
Thanks! It is always difficult to find music that works, and that I like.
@@tryingnottosink9107 at 1st I thought it was you playing guitar then that Billy Crystal organ kicked in hahahahahaha
Cool adventures. Who's the guitar player starting at 00:27
Not sure, I'll have to look it up. We subscribe to a service that gives us copyright free music.
