OK- Since I’m a newbie to your channel, gotta say that was the most entertaining recount of your harrowing night in Albania- You both are very funny story tellers and you had me laughing out loud several times during the EP. Continued success as you carry on. Fair Winds.

That is how my life runs, humor is it, because that is how this short beautiful life goes it seems. What an adventure though! Better days ahead! Fair Winds!

One of the joys of wood boats you look forward to storms. They are good excuse not to sand and varnish.

I been a little worried about you two, big storm in the Med hitting Greece now and y'all are the only channel I follow that's in the Med.
Nice job of getting through your first night crossing in a storm!!! That's how you do it. You'll be masters of sea in no time.
Best of luck Avalon, be safe.

I like watching your VLOG, something else you should know is owning a boat means you are always fixing things in exotic places.

Everything happens for reasons that we wouldn't ever expect but are necessary in The Divine Plan. No great sailors ever came from always having perfect conditions with everything going their way. You are definitely entitled to squawk when your feathers get ruffled though. It may seem unreasonable when challenged but more times than not there are valuable gifts in the difficulty that can only come to you in this way. 'Wishing loving blessings to sooth your reactions and restore the joy in being you.

I like that you reflected on the possible predicament of losing electricity would mean the inability to navigate. Technology is replacing the skills that sailors normally developed without it. The advantages of technology can put you in situations that are extreme when it fails. Stay tuned into the roots of sailing where exceptional people developed strengths and skills that could be relied on once seasoned in experience. I spent 8 years on a full keel wooden sloop with no motor or electronics and a strong calling to live the sailing life on the ocean. So many amazing experiences happened because i had to rely on what i could do with what the angels of air would provide.

Any thing at sea that scares the shit out of you that you live through with your boat more or less in tact serves to make you a better sailor for next time and there will be a next time so glad you made it sail on

OMG. 6:20 "Oh shut up, I was there for a moment and then I thought this is so Clementine..."
Me in Florida: Did she just use "Clementine" as an adjective and wasn't talking about a citrus fruit???
*nearly breaks thumb trying to google the actual definition of "clementine"*
This is my new favorite adjective.

I suggest not towing the dink in open water, get it up on deck. It will flip or fill with water, get loose, etc. I see you removed the outboard at least.
