- Welcome to Day 1 of my 2020 fall photography trip to Utah! This year's trip was amazing and a much needed break from everything going on in the world. In late October, my friend Tommy and I departed my home airport and headed west. Our destination was Albuquerque with a fuel stop in Elk City, Oklahoma. It was a beautiful day to fly, but WINDY along the second half of the route! A 30-35 knot headwind slowed progress, but I honestly didn't care. I was so excited to be making the trip at all that not even the wind could phase me. (And that's a good thing because we REALLY faced some wind during this trip!) Thanks for joining along for this year's adventure!!
Great watch. Was looking forward to watching your 2020 adventure. Waited a few weeks so I can binge watch them together. definitely worth the wait!
Thanks for watching! I'm doing my best to get them all out in a timely manner this year!
Great video, enjoyed the flight footage. Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks! Plenty more flight footage to come! It was one of my all-time favorite trips to Zion.
Really liked this one Alan! Looking forward to seeing the next episode!
Thanks Tony, glad you enjoyed it! This year's trip was so much fun!
Man, I so enjoy these kinds of videos. I hate for them to end but I do enjoy the photography part as well. Very nice Alan.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you like the travel videos! They don't get as much attention as the photography stuff, but they are really fun to put together!
Greatly enjoyed!
Awesome, thank you!
That’s a heck of a lot more exciting than the peasant route I took to Zion! Looking forward to day 2. 👍
Whenever I see a Prius, I am the passer!😂
Great video!
Thanks!
Picard is more of a practical guy. Unless that woman is Borg. Then it's all downhill from there. That being said, absolutely love the video Alan. Thanks for sharing. LOL on Oklahoma. Boomer Sooner!!! for life.
Thanks for watching! I was always a Picard guy myself...agree on the practicality. Oklahoma is great...just needs mountains! :)
Enjoyed today's trip. I know how tired you can get after a 1,000+ mile trip. Looks like you may have Duplex tent. That is what I'm using on the AT Thru Hike. John from MI
You're right, I do have the Duplex! I've had it for about 4 years now and absolutely love it. So light and really spacious all things considered. Good luck on your thru hike!
Very cool video! I can't wait to see how Escalante turns out. :)
Thanks Jay! A slight film flatness issue on a pano, but other than that I'm really happy with the way everything turned out!
That looks like a total blast heading out to Zion in your own plane. How cool!
It's definitely a lot of fun to be able to see the southwest a little bit lower than a typical commercial flight!
I'm from NM so this was cool to watch, look forward to the next episode ;0)
Awesome!! NM is beautiful. I always know when I hit the mountains around ABQ that I've finally reached the desert southwest.
How do you not have more subscribers!
No idea...I’m open to suggestions on how to get that number higher!
Always loved airplanes. I used to fly remote control airplanes with a friend that had a Mooney. He used to take me up then give me the controls and let me fly where I wanted.
It’s a blast isn’t it?!
