- Far too little is said today in church about the need for repentance. Without true repentance there can never be true faith. Repentance is the first foundation stone.

ITS BEEN 14 YEARS NOW OF BEING FAITHFUL TO MY BRIDEGROOM YESHUAH. HALLALUYAH. I STAYED SINGLE AND IM SO GRATEFUL HE LET ME LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO GET RIGHT WITH HIM. I was sexualized at a young age & it became part of my identity. I don't even have a single memory where sex was not part of my life. I first thought if I just stopped being bisexual & focused only on women that would be enough. It wasn't. Then I thought practicing abstinence would be enough....it wasn't. Then I thought that self gratification but without indulging in pornography would be enough ...it wasn't. So, now I am trying to really abstain from sexual thought & self-gratification. What is really helping me this time is that I'm not trying to achieve this on my own effort but going to God. Especially when I come to a breaking point & an overwhelming urge rises up. I go to God & say: "Lord I cannot do this on my own. I need Your help. I believe that You are wanting me to do this for my own good. That it's not just an arbitrary rule that's in place just to be a buzzkill. I believe that You want what's best for me. I believe & trust You"

I have backslidden for a year, I do not feel the Holy Spirit's conviction anymore when I sin and my heart has been hardened. I realized that I backslidden when I read the Hebrew passage and got me so scared so I prayed and cried out to God because I was afraid of Him not forgiving me anymore and end up going to hell. I do not have a truly repentant heart and I just realized yesterday. I don't know anymore what to do 😭
you are sealed. just cry out to God and ask Him to help you, He is always there. I will pray

I can't see the difference between remorse and repentance.
I have repented of many things even before knowing God, but I didn't see fit to hang myself ( thank God). I paid no price other than regret & determination to do better.
To be remorseful is to regret.
To regret is to repent.
Hanging himself showed a very deep regret. It was a self-punishment in an attempt to pay penance.
I am a sinner ( that is, I am imperfect of soul) and cannot judge another, even he who betrayed the son of God.

It's never too late, Aimhigh62! Please study Romans 7 & 8 and pray that God will fill you with His Holy Spirit. If you've not yet been baptized, please consider it. Maybe you can talk things over with your local pastor.

Try again and when that fails try again and keep on trying, but also forgive yourself. Also, hell might not be your destination, in our Father's house there are many mansions; if you were so far gone, you wouldn't be listening to a sermon on repentance, Esau wouldn't

I feel hopeless and all I can do is cry out to God but I feel I've gone too far . Please continue to pray for me , I feel as if death is around the corner . not wanting attention or pity , just prayer to know that God hasn't turned away from me
The church is facing a gospel crisis. No one can agree on what it is, or how to preach it. Christian catchphrases and slogans abound in personal testimonies causing serious doubt as to whether self-named Christians are actually trusting the gospel of Christ or not. People “receive Jesus”, “renounce sin”, and “believe God” without knowing the preaching of the cross. A failure to rightly divide often allows a cross-less gospel, which results in unsaved people thinking that they are.

KJV ASAP I have told a few people that “Christianity” has failed. It’s shocking to some, but people usually depend on others or denomination’s teaching for their faith (vs God’s words he has given us in Christ).
The beauty of our individual relationship with Christ, is His Spirit allows us to work as an organized force, but we have to plug in locally, donate nationally, and Pray for peace as we walk in The Faith.

This is the message of salvation:
Jesus paid for all our sins.
That Jesus died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.1 Cor15.1-4

God's response to those despising his grace reminds me of Romans 1:24, 26, and 28 ("God gave them over...).
Also, 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12: ".. and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, BECAUSE THEY DID NOT RECEIVE THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH SO AS TO BE SAVED. And for this reason GOD WILL SEND UPON THEM A DELUDING INFLUENCE so that they might believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness."
Proverbs 29:1: "A man who hardens his neck after much reproof WILL SUDDENLY BE BROKEN BEYOND REMEDY." If we despise God's grace we can become spiritual "dead men walking." We may be physically alive but our eternal fate will have already been sealed. GOD OPPOSES THE PROUD but he gives grace to the humble (Proverbs 3:34, James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5).
This is a sobering teaching from the Holy Spirit through Derek Prince. God's kindness is meant to lead us to repentance. It's not to be taken advantage of. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. FEAR GOD AND TURN AWAY FROM EVIL. In other words: "Repent!"

Remorse is not repentance
The Open Air Preachers,are Preaching Repentance, living Holy, Judgement, and alot of contention,is coming from Christians.God is going after the losted sheep.
In Esau's defense it was not only because of soup alone, the Lord is not so petty; it was Esau's impotence because the birthright was spiritual and he forsook the grace of God and the inheritance he offers in Jesus Christ for a life of hunting and eating and most likely drinking, the soup was the final point at which he could sell the birthright for food which was his treasure; he had not thought for nor desire to serve the Lord in spirit and truth and that was his sin.
Judas suffered the sorrow of the damned in that he did not find happiness in his sin and he could not repent because he had committed the unpardonable sin, in that he had firsthand knowledge of the Messiah and betrayed him anyway, and not only that, he did it via oath with satan, committing the same crime as Cain....selling human life for property or gain. In my view a person with narcissistic personality disorder is someone who is at the point of no return, because of their complete lack of empathy - empathy is the most Christ-like of attributes and without it you can never have goodwill toward men nor seek peace on earth, nor bring forth any fruits of righteousness, nor have any oil in your lamp when the bridegroom cometh because you would not see the need to seek after it.

Isnt it written in the bible that the goodness of God grant us repentance?
That's right. In Romans 2:4 we read: 'Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?'
