@Niikos Pap I prayed for you, and would like to share a couple thoughts I’ve had just now: 1. In the book of Job, Job is attacked by the devil, with God’s permission. Job friends thought Job was being punished for his sin, but this wasn’t the truth. 2. If you want to be forgiven for your sins, confess them to God, and then turn away from them -stop doing them. I’m sure we all sin all the time and we definitely do need to ask God’s forgiveness, but we can even ask God to forgive sins we don’t remember or didn’t even realize we committed. I don’t think we’re limited in our access to forgiveness by our awareness of each and every sin. 1 Peter 3:18 “For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;” If you put your faith in Jesus Christ alone, at that moment all of your past, present, and future sins are paid for. We still need to continually ask forgiveness from God so that we can be in a right relationship with Him, but we don’t need to ever worry about losing our salvation. To put it another way, through Christ we become adopted children of God. Our position as children is forever fixed, but our relationship should be moving always forward, and for our relationships sake we continually seek God’s forgiveness and work to grow. But because we become God’s children through faith in Jesus Christ, we know we are protected from all evil. Evil may still come upon us, as it did with Job, but only if God allows it for His own good purpose.

We have rebelled so much against God almighty (Isaiah 53: 6), but even though we did all this, God still met us in his Son, Jesus Christ, and through Jesus, we are able to live a Godly and Holy life and partake in the divine nature through Jesus, not as being gods ourselves, but as sharing in the divine nature that belongs to God solely.

If Christianity is so good, why is it that it has caused more deaths on this planet than anything else, ever? If it is so good, then why does it inspire fear of being tossed into a lake of fire for eternity in children who don't know better yet because they haven't gained experience of anything else? If God is good and perfect love, and we are God's children, how could a father judge his child and condemn them to an eternity of suffering? At best, this is symbolic of an unhealthy control dynamic between a father and his child. Why would a unhealthy control dynamic be the epitome? In terms of love, there is some love that is a sin and condemnable? Why? Because God says so? That is not an answer. Love doesn't do that. Why does the bible leave the supernatural realms a mystery and condemn us for asking questions? The very fact that it leaves so much a mystery sparks wonder and curiosity which in God's term leads his sheep astray - why, knowing how our minds work, set us up to fail?

It actually makes a lot of sense that we could be, eventually, elevated to godhood. Our own children become adults as they develop, so why wouldn't there be the same thing done spiritually? What else is the purpose of everything? If we can only develop to a certain point and then we are limited, is that not damnation? What is so sacred about never learning everything God knows and does? The perfection would only come from following Him. It would never put us in competition with Him. It could only come through His eternal glory. The trick is to not make ourselves false gods as the devil has done and tries to tempt us to do. Perhaps someone has scripture that could correct me. This is a question I will investigate in my study.
“Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” (Romans 8:17) If we’ve been brought into His family, His righteousness has been given to us and in turn, we are now His heirs.
@@Me321. I know many people that believe we are gods in embryo that are very much striving to be submissive to God. They are not eager to become gods before they master being perfect servants of God himself. In fact, I believe in this divine potential myself. I don't believe I can become a God if I use that potential as a reason to violate the laws of God. God is god because He is completely righteous and He follows His own laws. His laws are designed for eternal life. He doesn't command us for His own gratification or ego. He does it out of the most pure love and to teach us how to become like Him. The scriptures are filled with God telling us to be like Him. Why would He say that if it wasn't our potential to be gods? It is sin when people take shortcuts. Lucifer constantly attempts to sell counterfeits of godhood.
@@Me321. I do think God wants us to be happy, but I also know that He knows better how we can achieve that than we know. If we just go with what we think will make us happy, but we're not doing things geared to eternal life then anything we feel resembling happiness can't last. The only reason the teaching of divine potential could cause problems is if the person is filled with pride. If I get to the other side and God tells me I can never reach godhood, I am willing to accept that. Serving Him for eternity is joy enough for me. His work is so amazing that I'm grateful for any opportunity to be any part of it. I'm grateful to be His creation and to be loved so perfectly despite my profound imperfection. I think it is an exciting challenge to try to be like God. I don't intend to try to create my own world or the higher things until He approves, which I imagine will take a while. I'm still working on both understanding and living the words of His I do have. It sounds like you had an understanding of what that power was. I'm sure our ability to perfectly communicate our thoughts, feelings and experiences on these things is so limited because we are limited beings right now. If Christianity is so good, why is it that it has caused more deaths on this planet than anything else, ever?
If it is so good, then why does it inspire fear of being tossed into a lake of fire for eternity in children who don't know better yet because they haven't gained experience of anything else?
If God is good and perfect love, and we are God's children, how could a father judge his child and condemn them to an eternity of suffering? At best, this is symbolic of an unhealthy control dynamic between a father and his child. Why would a unhealthy control dynamic be the epitome?
In terms of love, there is some love that is a sin and condemnable? Why? Because God says so? That is not an answer. Love doesn't do that.
Why does the bible leave the supernatural realms a mystery and condemn us for asking questions? The very fact that it leaves so much a mystery sparks wonder and curiosity which in God's term leads his sheep astray - why, knowing how our minds work, set us up to fail?

It actually makes a lot of sense that we could be, eventually, elevated to godhood. Our own children become adults as they develop, so why wouldn't there be the same thing done spiritually? What else is the purpose of everything? If we can only develop to a certain point and then we are limited, is that not damnation? What is so sacred about never learning everything God knows and does? The perfection would only come from following Him. It would never put us in competition with Him. It could only come through His eternal glory. The trick is to not make ourselves false gods as the devil has done and tries to tempt us to do.
Perhaps someone has scripture that could correct me. This is a question I will investigate in my study.
“Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” (Romans 8:17)
If we’ve been brought into His family, His righteousness has been given to us and in turn, we are now His heirs.
@@Me321. I know many people that believe we are gods in embryo that are very much striving to be submissive to God. They are not eager to become gods before they master being perfect servants of God himself. In fact, I believe in this divine potential myself. I don't believe I can become a God if I use that potential as a reason to violate the laws of God. God is god because He is completely righteous and He follows His own laws. His laws are designed for eternal life. He doesn't command us for His own gratification or ego. He does it out of the most pure love and to teach us how to become like Him. The scriptures are filled with God telling us to be like Him. Why would He say that if it wasn't our potential to be gods? It is sin when people take shortcuts. Lucifer constantly attempts to sell counterfeits of godhood.
@@Me321. I do think God wants us to be happy, but I also know that He knows better how we can achieve that than we know. If we just go with what we think will make us happy, but we're not doing things geared to eternal life then anything we feel resembling happiness can't last. The only reason the teaching of divine potential could cause problems is if the person is filled with pride. If I get to the other side and God tells me I can never reach godhood, I am willing to accept that. Serving Him for eternity is joy enough for me. His work is so amazing that I'm grateful for any opportunity to be any part of it. I'm grateful to be His creation and to be loved so perfectly despite my profound imperfection. I think it is an exciting challenge to try to be like God. I don't intend to try to create my own world or the higher things until He approves, which I imagine will take a while. I'm still working on both understanding and living the words of His I do have.
It sounds like you had an understanding of what that power was. I'm sure our ability to perfectly communicate our thoughts, feelings and experiences on these things is so limited because we are limited beings right now.
