    i like how you broke this down!
    i have trouble understanding what i should be looking for and how to be more efficient in dota. i feel like im lost a lot of the times and i appreciate this kind of thought process that makes you think with a sharper sense of how to control the game better. i feel like i tend to win my lanes a lot of times but then i dont know what to do with the advantage i get.. so i end up being in the wrong place and feeding and losing the lead, which sucks, but happens quite often.
    i hope you keep posting content like this for mid (and all the other roles). i love this game so much and learning how to be better at it feels really good!
    just as a friendly request, if i may, i'd appreciate a guide on what to do in the mid game, what to look for, which areas should be controled and farmed. anyways, looking forward to the next video!

      You need to imagine the scenarios in which you can die with your current power level. If the enemy lacks stun and you are idk, Weaver mid and the enemy is Storm Spirit and he has a Bane; these are their only forms of stun. You know that if you see Bane in the fight, you need to avoid him. If bane ults or nightmares you and you get grabbed by the storm stun, you will be bursted. If storm zips on top of you (until he has orchid and uses it at max range during zip) you can press R and maybe dodge the stun, provided you stay moving. Similarly, you should think of who you can kill within every game. These influence the overall direction of threats and the possibilities that are strongest for each team and you should be mindful of your best opportunities for kills and the enemies best opportunities.
      If the enemy is otherwise occupied, healing in base, dead = hit their towers or at least shove wave into it. Every bit of tower damage you do early will shape how your team plays on the enemy side of the map in the midgame. Leshrac can go take all the T1s by 15 min if the enemy isn't defending them well. If your team doesn't cross the river and play forward or to their strength (sometimes you have a FV hard carry your team wants to bet on more than ending faster, it all depends), that is on them. Pushing down towers and occupying the enemy side of the map is pretty fundamental to creating strong advantage. In this current economy of comeback gold/exp and how plentiful gold is on the map for supports, you have to really be careful at this part. If you have an Ursa hard carry who is running into the enemy and feeding the lead away, this is the time to prepare for lategame.
      Going HG too early or having a team on half HP that just wiped the enemy stay way too long trying to push T2 are the classic ways to lose a huge lead right now.
      There's one huge HUGE tip I have to give you, maybe better than all the others. The order of who shows in a fight and who targets who with spells can make or break the game-winning/game-losing fights. Storytime: I spammed Riki to grandmaster as mid and sometimes when I went to fight I would have a skywrath/bane/shadow shaman stand in the trees and control me from the instant I pressed blink into the fight, they were just anticipating my plays and stopping me from ever getting smoke off. I kindly asked my hard carry Bloodseeker to go first into the fight so I could have a better chance of winning us the fight. He did, got jumped hard and died, but EVERYONE got cleaned up. He tipped me for his nearly intentional death and the idea of him going first, it was the right call. We took the enemy T1 and marched to T2. The important reason why it was going to work was because it was going to change the state of the game, I had a clear idea of why it would work, and we capitalized on the moment and got the most real estate on the map for the fight that we could. It changed how Bloodseekers game was going, because the enemy was clumping bottom (I was having a hard time getting hexed up before I could press a spell) and getting wiped made them change gears.

    Thanks again pooopie, for my MMR my last hitting is top shelf, so I'm gonna focus way more on the latter info. You're the man at breaking down your high level mid knowledge, Ty

    I think it all depends on your matchup. If you have a hero that can harras more its better to harras than to just last hit. You can have more last hit if your matchup is on the defensive side.
    But for example if im lina vs Dk mid. I won't focus on harrasing dk because DK will just eat my spells and DK would just focus on last hit and denies.
    I don't know maybe im wrong

    • @airtonvobeto2947
      @airtonvobeto2947 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes, you do have to harass, but that was not the point of the video. learning how to be more efficient with last hitting, believe or not, is what most people have trouble with, even the guy he played up against, which is a decently high mmr player, doesnt do it quite well and annihilate demonstrated how it affects the result of a lane

    I think you should talk about how to lane such that you kick the other midlaner out of the lane and into jungle and then break their tower, farm their camps etc
    it feels very miserable to not have a t1 mid early on, even if you "win" lane, and im sure you would know why, I just think it feels bad lol (lane pushed in further? runes further?)
    or other ways to play more faster; in many games, the way you played against arc warden is not enough imo (and you did say it was a cs win but nonetheless)
    stacking and farming your own camps is what you do on a losing matchup?

  • @Talk3rs
    @Talk3rs 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I have a question here - why would you stack that big camp, when you can stack triangle with almost same efficiency? I understand it with kotl or sniper, who can stack it without moving, but if you are losing some creep, isnt it better to do it in triangle?
    I used to do it few years back (mainly as dusa, but as well WR, and if I played mid now and could farm it/had hero in team to farm it, I would do it again). Basically your rotation once I could push wave and had boots (IIRC lvl 4?), but "mirrored" over the lane. This way once I could farm it easily, I had there 3-4 stack of big camp and then quite quickly took 5-6camp of ancients either for myself or for my ally.
    Is it just the length of walk (you are guaranteed to lose XP vs chance?), support stacking it himself (not happening a lot in lower brackets) or the possibility to make rotations from the normal jungle (much harder from triangle)?

    • @megavore97
      @megavore97 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I think generally triangle just takes too long to walk to as most mids, since you generally want to minimize the amount of creeps missed from the wave.

    • @iAnnihilate
      @iAnnihilate  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      you can double stack on radiant with most heroes and the camp on dire is much closer as well triangle way too far a lot of the time

  • @atillafatihunver617
    @atillafatihunver617 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    But when that sniper hits you with headshots your attack speed will get lower ans u miss the cs...

  • @kungfuseadog

    These 2 points seem like the most important "basics" that even 4-5k players mess up all the time. The equivalent of last hitting and early farming patterns/lane items for carry.
    To summarize: Tip 1 - Money is Money. Tip 2 - Time is Money.

  • @SailTheFailBoat
    @SailTheFailBoat หลายเดือนก่อน

    Can’t help but notice your itemization during that mid battle. 3 null talismans ? What’s the logic there? I usually only build one and go for a witch blade.
    Given I’m 1.2k I’m clearly doing something wrong.

      @thiag0d หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s only because it’s a 1v1, he is only thinking about outtrading arc warden, the best way to do it is going for stats, NT/bracer/WB have the best cost-benefit for that
