I feel this so so much even as someone who lives in Atlanta. Often times I find myself *wishing* I lived in NY and being jealous of how busy everyone is in the city but then I remind myself that I’m actually not the kind of person that would actually enjoy that environment, especially as someone who loves staying home, working out, eating healthy and going on hikes whenever possible. I’m so excited for you to move to LA and feel like it’s going to be so perfect for you! 💓

I think LA is far more superficial than New York. But good luck on your journey.

I am so happy for you making this decision. Looking back on my New York days, it was great fun for a time, but it felt like there was no moving forward. Also, woman are treated like low hanging fruit in New York. I met way too many woman in their late thirties who were doing the same things that they did in their twenties waiting for their real life to begin. You will have a more grown up and productive life elsewhere. It is best to leave in your twenties. I am glad that I did.

I really appreciated your video, and transparency. I don’t know if it’s because I’m from New York, but isn’t LA far more superficial than New York? Or have you found that like New York there are pockets of different people? I’m just asking because I’ve heard LA is so about your followers on social media.

While both places are fantastic and unique, I personally do prefer New York. I've lived here in Brooklyn for 2 and half years and in Southern California for one year. I guess part of my preference really comes down to the fact that I'm an 'east coast' person I guess lol but everyone is different :) while California is naturally more beautiful and has access to ocean and mountains, it was only fun for first few months - ocean is too cold to swim in but if you're surfer it's a place to be. I did love good Mexican food and weather was always amazing. Sunsets are beautiful. Except for May, June and July most days are with gray skies. In NY is so easy to get anywhere, and everything is 'around the corner. While in California, things are spread out. And you do need a car.

I visited Irvine and Laguna beach in June 2024 and compare to nyc…nyc can’t beat Irvine weather and the beach. So i agree with you on the weather

Two people I know moved to LA and moved back saying it was the most superficial place to ever be and they hated it. They both were in the entertainment industry so they thought they would be able to handle it. One of my friend (she sadly passed away last month in her late twenties) told me it was the most depressing times of her life. Maybe other people will have a better experience there but if people are thinking of forming genuine connections then maybe LA isn’t it and to go elsewhere?
