I understand we all love June and feel protective of her but I think it’s disrespectful to analyze every interaction between June and Aaron to find fault with how he treats her. This was a video challenge that they both signed up for with the understanding that they eat differently including tastes and times. I think it’s a disservice to June to not trust her judgement in a 9 year relationship. If it wasn’t working for her I know she is capable of communicating that. Aaron seems like a lovely human and I think we should cut him a break considering how awkward it can be to be on camera when you’re not used to it. There were so many cute moments between the two of them and I really appreciate that they continually let us have a peak into their weeks

Analysis: I think the Delish channel is really just the Delish team making June torture herself for our entertainment. It was entertaining but I started to feel bad for June as she looked longingly into the camera out of hunger. They have very different eating schedules. Aaron's t-shirt game is STRONG. He basically lives off of sugar and spice?

they just have wildly different taste palettes. man lives on sugar and spice and of course june's stuff is too balanced for this wild human - lots of respect for both, because it's clearly an adventure for each of them!

Yeah my boyfriend and I have basically adopted each other's eating habits over the years. I didn't like sweets before and find myself craving them quite often now. My man just kinda..became a non vegetarian with me haha.
Yeah I don't even live with my boyfriend but when we visit each other for the weekend, we make sure to agree on same meals, cook together, eat together. The only variation is snacks but even with that over time, my boyfriend had adopted my healthier snacking diet.
My bf and I have been together 14 years and have never ate together. Is this also weird for you? I am 100% Italian btw and he is Haitian. Different cultures means different eating schedules and habits.

I love their relationship together. It is so wholesome. It's open, it's fulfilling. It's supportive, truthful, fun, banter, playful, and you can tell when they talk and look at each other, or when one is looking at the other and the other doesn't know it, there is love there. If you can't see this, you're seriously blind.

The pace of the videos, June's voice and personality, the recipe ideas giving us hope for our own pandemic meals, and so much more are beautifully comforting. June is clearly incredibly skilled and yet makes the viewer feel that we can experiment too, and reminds us that it's okay to try something and decide that it's not a huge success. The joy exists in the process, even if not always in the results. You said this so much better than I did. I've watched her vids in the Delish kitchen and her vids at home, but I really connect with her cooking in her little galley kitchen. She's a lovely personality, and makes everything seem so accessible, even if she's talking about a two day pizza crust or a multi-day ramen creation. I love how on the new york 25 dollar budget viedep , he was complaining about how cooked carrots are too sweet for him and she tried not to put as much afterwards. But his diet is actually 80% sugar 19% fat/dairy 1%broccoli.

I'm honestly kind of jealous that he has an opinion to give. My husband usually just stays he likes it or it's good but never has feedback (he'll just not touch the leftovers if he wasn't a fan). It's kind of frustrating when I'm trying a new recipe and am looking for genuine feedback.

He's clearly a person who is more deadpan and blunt, but their dynamic seems well.... dynamic. Not every couple is going to look lovy dovy and emotive. Many happy and well functioning couples may behave in ways that don't immediately seem affectionate to us but are well suited for their personalities. How are we to know if June would even want him to be more overtly affectionate or loving. It might not be HER thing.

I come back to this video all the time. Aaron's eating habits honestly are pretty inspiring. He knows what he likes and he isn't afraid to experiment with weird flavor combinations. I also appreciate that he eats what aren't considered fully cooked "recipes". As someone who often forgets to eat if I have to maintain 3 square meals, I appreciate this representation (if i can call it that) of random eating habits that consist of snacking. :)

As an Indian, I pretty much grew up eating Aaron's diet (not always but often). Highly likely I am prediabetic and have high blood pressure. I am trying to make a change to eat better.

i'm only 20 minutes in but so far aaron's strategy seems to be, to starve june into a near death experience, then no matter what funky stuff he puts in front of her in the middle of the night, she will rate it 10 stars, mostly because of the hallucinations she experiences due to lack of nutrition.

I like that Aaron seems to buy a lot of local and diverse foods, which you should really do if you live in NYC/a city/anywhere with a market and have some money. That is what is difficult when you're budgeting a lot and live in a big city, you can miss out a lot of great food out there. Although I could eat 20 of those snack platters probably or have a big dinner at around 6pm, not midnight haha

I think she rated him as a non-chef. Which makes sense. Look at how she rated the sushi place. Because it was an expensive restaurant, she rated it as such. I like June more and more because she's kind and very rational. I hope that's why Aaron loves her too, not just for the food.

Honestly, I can totally relate to Aaron’s palate. It seems he likes to mix salty/spicy/umami flavors with sweet flavors and sometimes to find what you like you’re gonna have to take some risks. I’ll say the sugar count seems really high, but he SEEMS relatively healthy so keep on doing your thang man.
I have NEVER watched any video for an hour until this one! Its been a weird culinary journey, but the food combos look delicious. You are so lucky to live in New York for the grocery and food options.
