Me at the beginning of the video: What is the 27mm socket for??? Me at the end of the video: WHAT THE HELL IS THE 27MM FORRRRRRRR????? I've never been so mad in my whole life
Take the DOHC 16 engine cover off, it traps alot of heat. Not sure why Kia does this Thanks for the video, just bought a 16 forte5 and had no idea where to start
...that synthetic oil more likely outlast that orange can of death; use a longer lasting filter compatible with all synthetic oils which could easily exceed 10,000 miles before change.
177bandit, agreed! Even the mid-level Fram Tough Guard would be a better option (with the silver casing). But Purolator One, WIX XP, Napa Gold, Mobil 1…are all better alternatives than the “orange can of death”. Even WalMart’s MP series of oil filters is a decent choice (rated for 20K miles, but me personally I would do more than 6-7K)
There should be 8 bolts holding the undercarriage panel in place. 4 at the front, 1 in the middle, and 3 towards the back of the panel. In addition, there are 2 plastic tabs at the very front that you can just pull out with your hand.
Thank you so much, getting my usual oil change with synthetic is around $80 majority of the time for me. I greatly appreciate this tutorial
It’s gotten so expensive everywhere for these oil changes. Glad this video helped you and will save you some $$$.

Actually that gold colored Fram filter he previously had on the car is an Ultra Synthetic, one of the best filters on the market.
