A lot of awesome music comes out of Japan and this band is just another example of just how awesome that music can be. This band has such an incredible sound from thrash to power metal with full beautiful sounding vocals to the insane finger work of the guitars all backed brilliant bass and drums rounding off this powerhouse sounding band. - เพลง

The smile on your face said it all. Yours is the best kind of reaction to Lovebites. Someone who knows good metal, has great background detail are the best people to judge talent when they see it. Expect “The Wolfpack” to descend in force (I’m hoping I’m the advance reconnaissance!).
In my personal opinion, this is the best band ever to grace a stage. I’m 62. I’m not joking, I’m deadly serious. Almost 50 tracks, every one would be any other band’s career high point, and the live performance you’ve just seen has been improving exponentially in only 3 years….and it was first class to begin with.

The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians,such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list).
LOVEBITES is a Japanese female power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass,backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese female rock band to perform at the festival. Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in both Donington (UK) and Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts.
LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! For 5 years they have recorded about 50 songs and all the songs are very good!

🐺Miho started playing bass in high school. Great bass player! The fact that such a wonderful band appeared is, first of all, the merit of Miho. She came up with the idea of starting a band and what kind of music the band would play, a combination of power metal and "old school" heavy metal. Miho was able to find and unite all these talented ladies in LOVEBITES.
🐺Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen.
Haruna is the smallest (4 '9 ") , but appearances are deceiving. When Haruna sits down at the drums, this is the "little BIG Engine." She is one of the best drummers in Japan.
🐺Midori (blond hair) has been playing the piano since she was two years old and the electric organ since she was eight. She started studying guitar at the age of 20. Super guitarist, "Crazy Shredder". She surpasses many male guitarists in speed and technique of playing the guitar.
Graduated from ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka , GIT-DX department (superfast guitar department). ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka is an international music school , headquartered in Hollywood, California, USA.
🐺Miyako (black hair) has been playing the piano since the age of three, received a classical education (piano) and wanted to pursue a career as a pianist. She has been playing the guitar since the age of 18. Super guitarist! They call her "The Golden Touch" and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the band, she wrote over 50% of the music.
* In terms of teamwork , synchronization and harmonization of guitars , Midori and Miyako today are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in the world playing metal. One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same band is a crime!😊
🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started ballet lessons at the age of two. After leaving school, Asami lived for some time in the US, where she came to study jazz and hip hop dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs.
All songs LOVEBITES are written in English. Unlike other metal bands, LOVEBITES are always on stage in white dresses . White dresses are their style. The Wolf is the mascot of LOVEBITES and is featured on all band's albums except the first EP "The Lovebites". The band's fans call themselves the 🐺Wolfpack🐺

Best F guitar duo in metal period, keep going w/them and you'll quickly see that. NO ONE harmonizes like M&M (Midori and Miyako). The band themselves are the BAR / GOLD STANDARD as far as I'm concerned. Nobody plays like these ladies, nor is any band tighter live. Keep going and you'll be amazed and they do it all, more than just thrash and power metal. I'm a huge thrash fan and grew up listening to the greats of the 80s...the torch has been passed and is in good hands with the Goddesses in white! Love the react bro, keep going! Recommend Holy War live '20 or '21 version, Asami's belts are REALLY impressive in the '21 version. 🐺🦊
You'll get a lot of different requests for songs from this band and it may be difficult to choose one so here's a tip. Write down all their fifty song on a piece of paper, close your eyes and stick a pin in it. The song the pins sticks in will be great. Yes they are that good! ALL their songs are great. This band doesn't do mediocrity.
Congratulations! And welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. The cognitive dissonance between their look and their sound is just the start. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics.
They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters.
This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. I'm 62, got into metal in 1971 when I heard Zeppelin, and now Lovebites (who I "found" earlier this year) is mu all time favorite band. Miyako (right) and Midori (left) are the best lead guitar duo going today, if not ever (I lean towards ever). They are based in power metal, but they blend power/thrash/speed/heavy metal like no other band I have ever heard. Asami's voice is so perfectly alter-metal. Haruna is a beast on drums, one of the best metal engines I ever heard. The bassist Miho follows suit with the drums. Miho (one of the original founders along with Haruna) left the band last year, and tomorrow Lovebites will have an announcement we've all been waiting for. congrats for having now discovered this incredible worldclass band and thanks for your great and genuine reaction. after I heard them the first time they immediately became my favourite band. they´ve got a backcatalogue of around fifty songs. not one bad or mediocre song in there, only very good, masterpieces and epic masterpieces. they are perfectionists, but with power and passion.

So far we've not heard Asami growl. She's an R&B-trained singer, so her style is that clean voice with vibrato. But they're about to announce their new bassist and new era (tomorrow, literally), so it'll be interesting to see if we see any style changes in future material. On their last EP, they started making a strong turn toward symphonic and neo-classical metal, though we saw hints of that in their earlier albums. Also, up to now, all of their stuff has been in English (except one song on their debut EP), but I think that the former bass player Miho, who co-founded the band, was the driving force behind that decision, so I wonder if they will continue to sing entirely in English. I won't care either way.
I know we all miss Miho female Steve Harris, but I'm kind of excited expecting another 50 new songs of new beginning!!

The decision to sing in English was a decision from the whole band, not just Miho. Going forward they will keep the core elements of who they are as a band and lyrics in English is a core part of the band.

I’m not taking anything away from other bands, but Lovebites are the best heavy metal band currently in existence in the world, male or female. Welcome to the wonderful world of Lovebites. You’re gonna love the trip down their rabbit hole. Asami, the vocalist, comes from an R&B singing background. One of the guitarists, Miyako, is also a world class, classically trained, concert pianist and you’ll get to see her shred the piano in their performance of “Swan Song with Chopin Intro” where they blend classical music into a heavy metal shredfest. I can tell that as a musician yourself, you will reall get off on that one and it’ll be interesting to see and hear your analysis. 🎃🎃🎃

Glad you found Lovebites! They are quite the amazing band. Actually this was their last gig before a hiatus as 2 of the members got married and had kids and the bassist (who started the band actually) dropping out. Just a few days ago they came back with a short video anouncing their new bassist and are now gonna go on. Would love to see you react to more from them because there is a lot of awesomeness to be found! Especially in their live shows!
