Toyota Yaris Cross GR Sport 2023 - Compact Family SUV | New Features

Toyota has actively developed the "GR" performance sub-brand. In addition to GR performance models, it has also launched GR Sport sports versions for its various car series. Taking the Taiwan market of China as an example, there are currently Corolla GR Sport and Corolla Cross. GR Sport is sold in two models. A few days ago, Toyota also released the GR Sport model for the Yaris Cross in the Japanese market. With interior and exterior sporty kit embellishments and chassis strengthening kits, the "long-legged" duckling with off-road personality has been replaced with a sporty style.
In order to provide buyers with more diversified car options and satisfy consumers who have more requirements for sports personality, Toyota has created different GR Sport sports car models in various markets according to local market preferences. Currently, it has already been launched in the Japanese market. There are C-HR GR Sport, Prius PHV GR Sport, Land Cruiser GR Sport and Hilux GR Sport in the product line. Now, Toyota is focusing on the Yaris Cross, a cross-border SUV model developed on the basis of the new-generation Yaris platform, to build the Yaris Cross GR Sport, becoming a new member of the "GR Sport" family.
Like the previous GR Sport models, the Yaris Cross GR Sport is mainly implanted with sports kits to strengthen its personality. The appearance is replaced with a black honeycomb grid grille inlaid with the GR logo, and the front air dam is also changed to a honeycomb grid style, with an aerodynamic front bumper, an aerodynamic rearview mirror, an aerodynamic rear spoiler, and an integrated splitter design The sporty rear bumper, blackened taillights, exclusive 18-inch two-color wheels, and a 10mm lower car height create a more aggressive appearance.
The Toyota Yaris Cross GR Sport is exclusively powered by a petrol-electric hybrid system that consists of a 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine and two electric motors on the front axle producing a total system output of 85kW of power.
The 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross range, including the GR Sport, is on sale now.
