I have not used that bag before, but initial impressions is that it is a little large. They have a smaller one that might be more around the same size. I personally would not like the “storm” protector part, I think it would get in my way accessing the internal pockets. I did like how it has a nice first aid section on the front.
@@johnspartan7103 one thought… see if you can find them both on Amazon with free returns. Pick them up (leave tags on etc) and load them with your gear and see what fits best. Then return the one you don’t want.
Fits just fine! Obviously if you have it to packed, that will be problematic, but as far as height and width, it barely comes out the top of bag, maybe by 1-2 inches, and had plenty of space from the side to side.

I wish they had kept the top pocket and it is crying out for a grab handle
I agree with that top pocket. I get what they were trying to do, but honesty opening the bag isn’t that hard 😂
