The Gloaming is a really amazing starting place to build a smaller campaign; Lots of ingredients included, but you gotta bake that cake yourself. I kinda like the style of writing.
You should do a video talking about scope creep in adventure design. I often find myself starting out writing a one-shot and end up in campaign planning mode when the ideas start flowing. How do you stick to the original plan? How do you identify when you start falling into the trap of expanding ideas beyond the bounds of the original concept and exhibit the discipline to reign it in?
Stop immediately and go run a session right now with what you have. 100% guaranteed your PCs will completely derail all your plans and you have to start over from scratch! 😂
Hey @slyflourish, when you’ve grabbed a Dyson logos map and are preparing to run the hut or the broken tower from earlier, are you going through and placing monsters into specific rooms. Also, for room descriptions are you writing descriptions of rooms beforehand?

As someone looking to run a game in The Gloaming next time my group goes back to Shadowdark, these prep videos are really useful.
Loving this ShadowDark series, and seeing how you build your sessions.
For that item, change gaseous form to ooze form
Shadowdark content. Hooray!
Another great show. Good luck on the session! Sorry to hear about the 1 character death but now they know they aren't playing 5e for sure. :)

No and no. I’ll keep a list of potential monsters and I jot down room descriptions as i prep the map.
What program are you keeping notes in?
What program is Sly using for these outlines?
