I think one of the best things about this production was the fact that I was able to incorporate my team into it in such a terrific way! I mean come on, who's ever seen a better version of Ed the Hyena than Jimmy my cinematographer did here? He's perfect.. and ate a freaking dog bone during production. That's dedication folks!

We’ve all heard that Lion King was ‘based on Hamlet’. I don’t buy it. However, the entire movie from Scar’s perspective is Richard the Third. That character is considered one of the strongest written villains, so should Scar.
@@katsa5 Dude, I actually watched Lion King this weekend. First, I take it back Scar is the worst. He didn't understand the circle of life, second I watched the interviews with Nathen Lane, Matthew Broderick and one of the writers, producers, someone important and he said they didn't even realize it was so close to Hamlet until well into the script.
the best villian theme ever!!!! the backing vocals were amazing , and the way you sing this... ... just perfect!!! even the different tone in music made it better!!!!
The real question is, did Scar get that name before or after he got that scar on his eye?
I asked the same question in my Insta post today and I got the full story! turns out the Scar was first and the name was second!
Star was originally named taka, when he and mufasa were younger he tried to get mufasa killed and it backfired and he got a scar as a result. And ever since he got the scar he took the name scar as a reminder of that failure and trying to do better

As silly as this song is, I just love listening to it - makes me laugh. I have to say, although you are outstanding in the eerie and serious songs, you really take the prize for acting in this one. You should really be on Broadway - not necessarily as a villainous lion, although that would be much fun. I would come to NYC just to see you in just about anything.

I mean I heard it first time this was released, liked like any other video from you, lately i got back to this one and have been listening and watching this for last few days, i have to say this is amazing!!! The close-up moment to your face peter? the acting? jimmy and his tongue out when hyenas walk in line?? the moment where you and scar from animation come out of the rock? this is soooo superbbb!

i am with u on that part. no on can beat the true version but this fan made version was the second best and i think this could of easily made it in the new lion king. i dont know y they made the new one so short but i think they could of made the full version and we all would had been happy. im guessing it was a last min add and they did not have time to get the full version of it. im sure with backlash they keep what they have on movie and then give us a full version in time on a soundtrack bonus content or something. for now this one remains my second favorite
