The performance that the animators and the voice actor for scar (I believe it was Jeremy Irons but I’m not sure) was fantastic and with the newer technology we have at our fingertips Disney certainly could have done so much more than the poor excuse for a song they gave us. I’m still pissed off at them for removing Jafar’s song from Aladdin too (tho not as much because in my opinion his acting was a little dull) but the fact that they had the nerve to rIP ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE, WELL KNOWN, FANTASTIC VILLAIN SONGS FROM SUCH A MASTER PIECE IS HORRIBLE. Whoever cast Scar in 2019 did a terrible job; and I’m not saying that makes the actor bad, but just a poor choice for Scar. His VA lacked the bitter malice Scar was known for and a lot of Scar’s most memorable lines were just completely lacking the fire he should have had.

My tastes with these covers can be incredibly fickle...but I am in love with this one...I think it's that you've managed to capture all of Scar's best aspects. Charisma, cruelty, cunning, sheer evil, and brilliance. That and the instrumentation is fabulous.
