This video really makes me miss the South of France, it's such beautiful country. Have you ever fished the Durance, Steve? It's a very different landscape, but there are certainly carp of size in there. Thanks for the video and happy travels in 2018!
Love the video Steve so well done. I'm actually going to a stretch of the Lot near there soon and wondered if you had any other advice on where to start, depths to target, margins or main flow etc? Any advice is much appreciated. All the best.
Dimitri Tsakalos the margins were definitely the best although I’ve only fished there once in the winter. They were deep margins of 5m to 6m deep but unlike some rivers the centre channel didn’t seem to be productive
Dimitri Tsakalos I only used back leads when the flow was really strong but they didn’t really help, it only fished well when the flow got back to normal
Hello Steve. You say that the current makes fishing impossible. But i am fishing a big river in the netherlands and the current is 5 times stronger then the current i see on the lot. Just put a big lead on. I fish woth 180 or 220 gram of lead and have no problem at al with the current. Keep je rod tips up in the sky then i wil go easy. Just for a comment mate. Good luck and keep the video"s comming. Love them.
What a christmas, crackin fish as always Steve more videos pleasee ;)
Cheers 🍻🍺🍺🙂
Looks magic Steve there I'd love to do some river carping something different than fishing lakes all the time well done mate top angling 👍

Thanks for the message but I did go right up to 250grams lead. Unfortunately it's impossible to have the rods up because of boat traffic.
Steve, what do you use to mount the transducer on the boat with? Is it a home made job? Cheers
Hi Mark they are available to buy it's called a Tite-Lok (I think)
No Yorkshire puds .....terrible
