Best shield available. I tried three other brands before I found the Freedom Shield and it’s the best by far. John, the owner is fantastic with his customer service too. One of the biggest bonuses, other than the wind protection is the fact that it’s the only screen I’ve found that has an optically clear screen. All the others have a lot of distortion.
We were on this quest at the same time, if memory serves. Ended up with the same brand and I agree 100 percent with your recommendation! Nothing but good things to say, and just because I can't follow instructions, I've cleaned it with regular household window cleaner and it shows no sign of any streaking or damage. Your mileage may vary.
thanks for this video! i just got my Freedom Shield in for my 2018 Ultra Limited and searched to find info on install etc and Bam here you are. Thanks a lot! great video and info
Good video and nice looking wind screens. Having the right size and height windshield, no matter what bike you have is of supreme importance for riding comfort. Ride safe and see you this summer.
The very first thing I switched out when I got my scoot was the windscreen. Even in the highest position of the power windscreen, I got a lot of buffeting. I replaced it with a Clearview XL screen with a GoldWing vent. ( I call in my AC.) It is curved like yours, to redirect the airflow. With the power selection, I can adjust it for the elements.
Going to order one today for the new SGS. I think I'm going to copy Ridin country and go with the medium tint. The 3 of us are pretty much the same height so I'm opting for the 8 inch screen. (I swapped out to the HD Tallboy seat as well). RSMF
Broncoride Hey I did man, just finished ordering!! And a huge thank you sir! I ordered (2) for my FLHXSE Clear and a Dark. And (1) for the FLSTC .. What a great company!! Love your motovlogs by the way! Thanks again! Have a great day
I have a 2018 HD Street Glide. Can you share on what to measure off of ? The small dash board straight up or the same angle as the current windshield of the top of the fairing ?? a picture would be very helpful .. Thanks
Hi Drew, sit in your most common position that you feel you will be riding a majority of the time. Then run a straight line from your nose. Once you have that spot, measure from the top of the fairing to that. If you do it this way, you should get an idea of what size. If you have a long level, have someone or you could do it, from your nose to the point. Mark with a grease pencil, then measure from top of fairing. You should be able to see about 1.5 or 2 inches above the top of the shield. If your current one is not large enough, tape a piece of cardboard to it to extend, then make your mark. I’m 6’4”, but my seat sits lower, so that is why I went with an 8 inch. Hope that helped.
Thank you, I just purchased my first HD Street Glide Special (2014) and the shield is too low. I was looking for a reliable company to replace mine, now I have one thanks to your video. I had other shields (Switchback) on my none HD motors before and it just happened the shields were the perfect height and never thought any of it. Have one question, on your logo Broncoride, is that the Maryland flag?
Give them a call, and they will walk you through it. All depends on your seating position and personal preference. You would probably be good with a 7" or 8". You'll really enjoy the shield. Made a huge difference.
Thanks for the reply Bronco! Yeah I figured the 7 would probably work. I'm north of the border so I'll have to tape some cardboard to my stock shield and do some testing. I don't want to have to ship anything back and forth across the line if I can help it.
6’4”. Works fine and the top of the shield is right around my nose. My seat is a little lowered, so make sure you line it up to your nose and you should be good.
I'm 6'4" and I thought I would need a much taller one, but I also have a TallBoy seat, so I sit lower than the stock seat. The 8 inch one is perfect for me. Thanks for watching man.
Yes. The 9 or 10 would work well too. The wind hits me on the very top of helmet, but doesn’t hinder at all. I’ve had mine close to 2 years and no issues at all. Great shield.
@@Broncoride I'm 5ft 10in, I reckon the 7in would do me. Great info mate, it seems I've found the first screen that looks like the original. Thanks again 😊👍
It would be so cool to see a video of there windshield in a smoke wind tunnel. Kinda like the guy who did the smoke bomb deal. A simple engineer move to show and sell there product.
6’4”, but I also have a Tallboy seat that lowers me about 2 inches from stock. Make sure and sit in the position you ride the most in, and then measure. My first one was too large because I sat up too high in the seat. You want to see about 2 inches above the shield once you figure out size.

Craig, I’m so glad I have this on mine. Such a great shield. Completely agree on the owner.

Haha, very true on mileage. Fast riding doesn’t equate for better mileage. Windex does everything but I’m keeping to this stuff.

Had it for a couple years and I’m super pleased with it. I have two that I switch out. One is clear and the other is dark. Great product.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Thanks for the quick response, I’m going to order it right now and also I love the color of your bike I have the red one almost got the blue
Thanks for the quick response I’m going to order it right now and I sure love the color of your bike
Hey friend. I’m not sure how I missed this video. Windshield looks great. Especially the dark one!
If you ever need one, hit these guys up.
John at Freedom is great. Just got mine from UPS! Second bike with a Freedom
Completely agree

The curved makes such a huge difference. Hope all is well with you my friend.
nice easy simple swap out good design and looks awesome as well
Thanks Drew for watching. Stay real out there.
Looking good!!! Great quality windshields!
Thinking of getting something for the long shots on the RK....
Awesome detailed review, brother!
They make them for a ton of different models. Thanks for the comment my friend.
Very well done review! If I had an HD, I'd be checking those out!
Thanks Ron.
Hey there excellent video on the windshield I to have a 17 street glide looking for a better one, what does standard or touring width mean?
Ty Eric. Touring is wider on the left and right edges. I have the standard and it’s does fine on long trips. Thanks for watching.

Sweet. You’ll love it.
Look like a great product. Awesome review.
Thanks man. Works great.
Great Review And Thanks For Sharing My Friend!

Cool man and Thanks I’m going over to Freedoms website like NOW.... 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hope you find something. Great products.

looks good bronco good job man
Thanks brother.
Smoked shield looks really nice!
Exactly what I was looking for
Awesome. You’ll like the shield man.
Been looking at these myself, and plan to get the tinted ones :-)
You’ll like it man. They will help you there with making sure you get the right one.
Best shields out there in my opinion.

@@Broncoride Perfect !! Thanks
Nice looking windshield. Sounds like Freedom's a great company to work with. That's a nice bike bud.
They really are great to work with. Thanks for watching man.
All businesses should be like that. My pleasure bud.
looking good . I like the tinted one
I use that one the most.
Thanks
Heard an interview with owner
Very service and quality focused
How tall are you?
6’4”. 8-10 is a good fit in my opinion.
Does that extra thickness leave a gap on the seam where the fairing front and back come together?
No gap. It fits very well.

Have one question, on your logo Broncoride, is that the Maryland flag?
Can’t go wrong with this shield. Very happy with it. Yes, I live in Maryland and that’s the flag colors in the shape of the SGS.
I'll have to check them out.
You’ll like them man. Thanks for watching
Which one do you like the best the tint or the clear?
Tint. I ride with that one most of the time. All personal preference.
Great video Bronco! You've sold me. I just have to figure out what size to go with. I'm 6' with a stock seat :)
Ride safe.
Give them a call, and they will walk you through it. All depends on your seating position and personal preference. You would probably be good with a 7" or 8". You'll really enjoy the shield. Made a huge difference.

Thus a nice shield. The recurve will work some real wonders. Buffering can make you loose your mind.
That’s an understatement about the buffeting.
How tall are you? I'm wondering if that 8" will work with me being 6' tall. Thanks.
6’4”. Works fine and the top of the shield is right around my nose. My seat is a little lowered, so make sure you line it up to your nose and you should be good.

Lol sizing for me would be extra extra extra tall. Lol great video.
I'm 6'4" and I thought I would need a much taller one, but I also have a TallBoy seat, so I sit lower than the stock seat. The 8 inch one is perfect for me. Thanks for watching man.

You have ad linc to their site? I need to buy a new shield and will use them if so. ✌️
10 bucks for a can of windex is cheap?? Man I need some more crumbs!! Haha!! #imadick!
Nope. Just like them. The Plexus is around $20, not $10 like I said, but still worth it.
It would be so cool to see a video of there windshield in a smoke wind tunnel. Kinda like the guy who did the smoke bomb deal. A simple engineer move to show and sell there product.
Definitely agree.
Did you go too short at first? What’s your height?
Almost 6’4”. I tried 7” first. Ended up with 8. It’s a good fit.
Looked pretty easy.
Should slide right in. ;-)
Innuendo is prevalent in this vid
How tight on the bolts?
I just snugged them up. Didn’t torque. They just need to be tight. No issues so far.
Does that added thickness of the shield leave a gap on the sides where rain or water from washing get inside the fairing?
No sir. No issues at all.
We're did you pic the windshield cleaner up
Amazon. Just type in Plexus. You can also get a Wal-Mart and some other chain stores.
That smile!!!! Rubes!!!!! Wait...... wrong Harley. Lol
Rubio is smiling at your comment
Sure is! 😉

Broncoride ok will do
we can start a new mc we'll call it the avengers but you gotta leave shield one club at a time
Really? 👍🏼😎
Been happy so far. No issues.
😉👍🏼
I call bullshit. I ordered one "10 clear" and I still have helmet buffeting !!!! It's going back
That blows. I went through a couple before I found right size. I’ve been happy with mine and it’s still on my bike.
@@Broncoride It's funny, if you go on there website there is not a single bad review. HMMMM, wonder why.
thanks but i dont have a bagger :)
Check out the site. I believe they have one for your ride. They have many models and not just baggers.
