I just got a brand new iphone 15 pro. I was spending more than two hours on the transfer process. I had to configure it manually, update the iphone to the latest version and then followed the steps in this video. It took less than the two hours to set it up :)

I recently got the pro max, and already took it out of the box and did the set up at my local phone store. Well I mean the guy rushed through the set up cause my old iPhone (11 pro max) likes to give me a buffering sign every time I tried to unlock it. My storage on the 11 was 64 gb and my storage was pretty full too. So I don’t know if almost full storage is what’s causing it. Also couldn’t update to the latest ios, it’s like in between ios 16 and 17. So would I have to erase and factory reset my new iPhone to get that prompt on my old one to do the scanning thing?
If I ran out of iCloud storage does this method move over all the additional videos and photos not currently being saved by iCloud but are still saved on my phone?
I’m currently using iPhone X, next week i’m going to buy iPhone 16pro. I’m worrying how to transfer my data to my new iPhone. I want to transfer all my data without photos, because this iPhone X is 7years old and its already have 18K + photos & videos. I see your YT video when you transfer there is new window pop up, is there can i turn off photos? is there any other method i can use transfer all my data without my photos?
I am still a little fuzzy one switching my E-sim card going from a 14 PM to a 16 PM i am in Canada so do i have to put my old card in the new phone physically or is it done via E-sim ? thx for your video i will be using it when my phone arrives and do i just throw my E-si, card in the trash ? cheers from Vulcan Canada
That's a great question. I had the esim set up at the T-Mobile store on my 16 pro max. When I later tried to move my Whatsapp chats from my old Androd, I found out that the 16Pro has to be in "Factorry new status". I have not yet succeeded in moving them...

Iv always transferred with iCloud but this time i did it this way and I found it was more stable 👍

but if i already moved the sim card to the new phone (so the old phone has no service and iphone 16 has the esim), can i still do this?
