The nuketown Easter egg works both way, if you shoot all arms off within 2 minutes they move like weeping angels, however if you shoot all heads off on the same time frame they fully animate, and move like zombies
I had no idea about the arms one, was only aware of the zombie mode they turn into

Just a side note on the Metal Gear Solid 2 one...there's a whole slew of camera 'ghosts' that can be found at various points in the game that can only be seen when looking at the pictures later, not when taking them. I'm trying to remember if the first MGS had similar ghosts or not.

23:07 this is so cool is a reference to a game called "Yume Nikki" I think.
There is a room with a character and you can turn off the lights and there’s a small chance that the character that was there will change to the one that appears on the video.
So basically is a nod to the fact that you have to press the lights buttons a lot for it to appear.
I really wish Uboa appeared in more games.

That MK 9 one ALWAYS freaking made me uneasy poking around the crypt. Or MK 11 where anytime you used Kenshi's blindfold there was a chance you'd get jumped by a ghostly being, and it would actually kill the character if you did not react quickly enough. LOL almost always made me tense when I used the blindfold to find hidden chests.
Finally, we're reaching video essays length videos and honestly I couldn't be any happier

15:45 the statue that moves when you’re not looking is actually a reference to the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who, which they can move if you only looked away or blinked, if they get to you, you suffer a fate worse than death, when they touch you, you disappear and left behind a grave stone that belongs to you.
Plus remember this phrase by the Doctor (Played by David Tennant) “Don’t Look Away and Don’t Blink, Good Luck”.
I think you misunderstand how the Weeping Angels work. When they touch you, you don't dissapear and leave behind a gravestone. What happens is the Weeping Angels send their victims back in time so they can feed off of the time energy left behind. Feeding off of the possibilities that never can happen now.
@@sir-mass3909 I somewhat didn’t know that they feed off energy from whom they touch, what I was mentioning is the scene of Amy and Rory getting touched by the Weeping Angels and being sent back in time, which resulted in a gravestone with their names on there. (Plus it’s years since I’ve seen Doctor Who, so my knowledge is a bit rough)

Correction on the dead by daylight one. I could be wrong though as I got the pack later. But this same cutscene plays out if you bought the pack after 7 days. Also get a charm for it

In Red Dead 2 if you go back to that outhouse later on she's dead and rotting inside
There’s also numbers on that outhouse that reference the number of outhouses in butcher’s creek (where the pentagram Easter egg is) that actually form a huge pentagram on the map you just gotta make it out yourself, implying she’s possessed
@@chewyarmstrong2368 Kinda don't like this detail, actually. To me this easter egg is more creepy imagining she's just an mentally unwell lady. That this is how people in the time period of Red Dead who suffered insanity or psychotic episodes were genuinely dealt with is what makes this horrifying to me; just lock them up and let them suffer in insanity until they drop dead. Her being possessed makes it just kinda corny

They thought she was too hideous to be kept around in their prestigious family so they chained her up.
There's quite a few creepy Easter eggs in rdr2. Like the ghost woman in the swamp and the train. Was hoping that he would cover those. Rdr has insane detail
I played Arkham City and the first time I saw that jumpscare, I about crapped my pants.
got a small neat detail for you. in the new alone in the dark, if you have your character stand next to a counter they will rest their arm on top of it. the best place to see this is in the mail room in the manner where there is a island counter.
That vanguard zombies Easter Egg is only the first step in a quest. You have to shoot the zombies with specific weapons to start a hide and seek Easter egg.
I think the Saints row 2 one is an Edmund Kemper reference. It sounds like he is a serial killer, and he says, " You did this to me, mother." He also hated his mom and did ungodly things to her head after he uhh removed it. Him saying, " Do you wanna lose that?!" Might be when he cuts out her tongue to put inside his garbage disposal. He really hated his mom and anyone he felt reminded of her was usually the type of victim he would choose. Sorry if that was graphic guys.

Read Ed kempers story and my god he was one twisted son of a bi*ch. The things he did to those innocent women are unforgivable and genuinely disturbing. His mother was also a sh*tshow considering the sheer amount of abuse she inflicted on him since childhood basically making him 10 times worse then he already was.
That's just fucked up, and I mean, very fucked up

I know this video is a month old but, the Lego Batman 2 one is a reference to the Weaping Angels from Doctor Who. Also the Bioshock Infinate easter egg is because the twins are in a different reality to Booker.
Horror fan here, the dbd easter egg is a nod to the cursed video tape in the j-horror movie ringu or better known as the ring. I dont remember much but the kanji in the eye should translate to sadako which is the onyro's name. Also fun fact they recreated the Japanese version and not American remake version specifically because the chapter is a continuation of the first movie with the survivor being the son of the journalist in the first movie but all grown up trying to find sadako by being a marine biologist

In A Hat in Time, in Queen Vanessa's Manor, if you use the "ghost" console command to fly to the unused floor from the beta & you use the First Person Camera mod, you can find creepy things on walls & even on invisible surfaces that would normally be outside the player's filed of vision. These include creepy messages Vanessa wrote for the prince & a convulsing red eyeball on a wall. Some of the hidden things are hard to see without using the dweller mask.
In Queen Vanessa's Manor in general, there are a lot of little details you can only see by using the dweller mask, including strange things written on the walls that you can only see by using the camera badge or downloading the First Person Camera mod.
Including a Moonjumper painting
The Metro Exodus easter egg makes sense. The creature you're shown is the child Dark One from Metro: Last Light which plays a central role in that game's plot.

9:30 could be a reference to a cool image of several tornadoes in one. It struck in 1997 and is known as the "Dead Man Walking" due to its strange formation.
I don't care WHAT it's in refrence to. Payday 2 is a game where you can slaughter SWAT teams with a giant golden spoon, why is there anything creepy-looking in it at all???

Nightmare house 2, what a throwback. Legendary let’s play game back in 2012
Don’t know if you covered this one or not, but in Sly Cooper Thieves in Time you can find a Easter Egg to Clockwerk from Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. In the final battle with Clockwerk at the end of Sly 1 he mentions that he’s watched the Cooper Clan for generations, in every level of Thieves in Time you can find Clockwerk somewhere on the map out of bounds watching the events of the story as well as seeing his Natural Owl form and his Robot Owl form as you progress in some of the levels. There are even some levels where it seems like he’s aware he’s being watched and will glance directly at Sly/The Player who’s looking at him through the binocucom’s.
