Leonard Bernstein was beyond brilliant. I’m so glad he was there during all my growing up years and into my adulthood.
I like how he hits the drum at 7:18 on his way onto the stage!
What a gigantic soul full of ahhh, I cannot describe it. Seemingly a mixture of love and passion, able to embrace every person he met.
Troppo grande, troppo simpatico, troppo tutto!
What Beethoven silently wish to convey as a "Kiss to the world" in his ninth Symphony, Bernstein achieved in actual life with his conducting and as a celebrity. He just kisses everybody and embraces everybody.
I will miss Lenny forever.
