Have been using ours (the same model I think but with 5ah batteries) for a couple seasons with snow in upstate NY. Works fantastic. Have had no problems with snow getting in it and shorting it out or whatever. Of course, if you are the type of person to blow snow airborne into an oncoming wind or something then, well - stop doing that. I'm just doing my own personal residential driveway/path. Makes quick short work of those nuisance snows. Works best on cold/dry snow of course. And don't walk on or drive on the snow first. If it's very wet then it won't move it well, even just a light amount. Sometimes I need to be very precise with tip placement. It will move it but I need the end of the blower just an inch or two from the snow. When the snow is of a type it works with though there simply is no better tool. It is not only fast but also the most thorough removal you can get. I have shoveled and swept and conventionally blown snow my whole life. Won't leave it as clean as this kind of blower.
For some reason I keep getting shocked when I use mine. Both leaf blower and battery were stored inside the house dunno what else to do. Never had this issue besides in winter.
It’s the static buildup caused by the air moving through the plastic chute. Common in cordless electric vacuum and blowers when built without the proper mitigation since it isn’t grounded there should be rubber dampeners built into the design. This is the reason they are notorious for failing the static fries the control unit.
Souffleur semble bon pour les véhicules. Mais pour le sol je préfère le balais pcq la batterie en donne plus aussi. Escalier et souffleur vraiment bien et rapide. Bon vidéo... Bravo !!
I have the same issue, apparently these are not designed for clearing snow (another video posted here quotes EGO support as telling him that (the unit isn't sealed apparently, and, if it's snowing, be prepared to have a shocking experience!). A grounding strap may be an option? I tried this in -30C weather, and, a person NEEDS to be wearing gloves at that temp!
The key to this video is the snow is still falling...once it sits for a few hours especially if the sun is out, it gets much tougher to blow off. I use an EGO 615 CFM...and live in New Hampshire.
That is correct. The ability to blow snow is conditional and situational. Snow comes in many different forms. Only way to blow off snow is with light and fluffy snow that has not been on the ground for too long.
I heard you have to be careful when blowing snow as it could take up snow in the vent and cause water damage to the blower.... I have the same blower myself and the 530... But haven't tried this yet!
That does make sense and I didn't think about that before deciding to try this if I got a light dusting of snow. I think I'll leave the blower alone during the winter (thought I may use it to blow off the snow blower while in the garage.

Witam. Fajna ta dmuchawa. Ale z zastosowaniem to pewnie wyłącznie na świeży puchowy śnieg a nie na mokry i ubity. Pozdrawiam.

@@zack6892 I wonder if an antistatic strap would resolve this? One going from the unit to drag on the ground?

Tried mine in the snow today. Was getting shocked repeatedly through the trigger and turbo button. Hoping to find a fix for this.
Remove youre gloves!

Looks like fun, no snow hear where i live but put my 580 to good use.
Man the amount of time and money I could’ve saved
Add the 10ah battery and it’s golden!
EGO makes a snow blower, with less likely hood of shock.
I bet it doesn't work on wet snow though

What about wet snow?
This is on the Ego website: "We do not recommend using any EGO blower with snow as the risk of electric shock can be damaging to the tool." 🤷🏻♂️
Wow
Gloves, who needs gloves?????? :)
Fake
Please do elaborate youre point of view.
