i like the lows of both, i'd opt for the rivalry due to not having the strap...but, every company essentially makes the same type of shoe now, so i'll always just grab the cheapest since they all somewhat serve the same purpose

The Terminator was included in the add. As this shoe was for the Georgetown Hoyas basketball team. The college actually had Hoyas printed on the back of the shoe instead of Nike.

Prefer the look of the Forum 84 Low to the Rivalry 86 Low (or high top for that matter). It’s a personal preference but just love all the details of the Forum and even dig the strap because it makes it different to everything else out there. Forum feels like the closest to a Jordan 1 alternative, much cheaper, easier to get hold of and not gonna lie, I’m an adidas fanboy so that suits me down to the ground.
I'm a huge fan of Adidas Basketball shoes, I have the Hitop version of the rivalry lows you have in this video and I love them! Here in the UK on the confirmed app they have Conducter Hi's and Attitude Hi's which are very similar to the Rivalry Hi's but have a couple more elements familiar to the Forums and the Centennial 85's which I'm tempted to cop but I'm going to hold off and hope they go on sale at a later date
How is the sizing with the Rivalry? I have a pair and it is so uncomfortable on the toe box, but I would like to buy another in the future and maybe size up
Just got the Rivalry 86 recently. I prefer it more than the Forums and materials are more to my liking. Best of all copped at 30% discount. I hope they do more colors and collabs.
I copped a pair of the Rivalry hi Boost on sale, and they are legit one of the most comfortable things I have ever put on feet. Shame they discontinued that line.
People were absolutely wearing these shoes while playing ball, Jr High, High School, College, and Pro level! I remember my friend buying a pair of Forum high tops. I was so jealous when he got them. In my opinion, the Forum are the best shoes Adidas ever made. I was still wearing Adidas Top Tens then. Which were hugely popular before the Forums. I'm of course a Forum fan. The originals, sued wasn't an option. It always had metal eyelets. Leather wrap design of shoe is completely different from the Rivalry. It had the lateral hard plastic cup to prevent ankle rolling. And lastly the Forum had the Dellinger web. Which meant you were wearing a premium Adidas shoe! People always forget to mention the Nike Terminators! After the Air Force Ones, the Terminators were next in line for the masses to buy. Then the Dunks came out. When the Rivalry and Conductor came out, I feel as though Adidas was starting to lose its luster. I know I did. I was more interested in what Nike was bringing out. Air Jordan 1's started to change peoples(kids) perspective. Also, Michael Jordan was an Adidas guy. In college he had to wear Converse. I remember him, James Worthy, and Kenny Smith wearing the All Star leather Ox high tops, Dr J classics, for North Carolina. When Jordan was working out a shoe deal. He approached Adidas after Nike's proposal. He said come close to what Nike was offering him and he'd be an Adidas guy. Fortunately for Nike they didn't think he was tall enough like Kareem, and they really weren't wanting to invest more into NBA players. Lastly, interesting the current generation is all about the low tops? No way does the Air Force I, Dunk, Forum, or Rivalry have the same effect as the high top. Guess I'm just old school......
The Rivalry was always superior. And it better be next in the spotlight after the attention for the Sambas wanes, as people are starting to find out that it's a narrow footed shoe. Making it unbearable to wear for normal footed people.
The grey low 86 are by far the best imo.. they look and feel premium. ALso, the forum low model has a huge and super wide tongue and just feels bit chunky for my taste
would you do a review of forums premium, I grabed them lastly and would love to see a comprasion cause they're supposed to have more and better leather etc. but I never had "lower tier" version to see for ms
The rivalry lows are really awful to wear, they are uncomfortable, the front of the shoe is teal pain for your toe and the back comes off easily even if you go true to size. So don’t just check the looks. The Forum lows on the other end are better in terms of comfort and they are also good looking. The white on white especially is a great Forum low.
Anyone know how these run sizewise? On every shoe I own, I'm a true 10.5, but on the only pair of forums that I own, I had to size down to a 10, the 10.5 was too big.

The air Jordan 1 and the Nike dunk were both Nikes take on the adidas forum shoe, which used to me Michael Jordan’s favorite shoe

The 86 vintage yellowing is too much. I think the concept of pre-aging sneakers will be looked back upon as completely ridiculous .
