    So , do you need to have a photo ready before check in.

      It prompts you for it during the process, so we always have it ready. We have seen some people say you don't need it, but you would still need to go back and do it later.
      Our recommendation: Just have everything ready and do it all in one go.

    Thank you so much. This is the Best checking video. You answer all my questions. And you are the only one who shows how to check in from the desktop. I ❤ it

      One of the best things about cruising is the holiday starting straight away. We always try to get on as early as we can. We often have a spa treatment booked for Deb on Day 1 to take advantage of day 1 specials.

    I'll remember that next time Matt. I did get up at around 6:00 and managed to get the midday check-in which was pretty good, but like you said, the earlier you are on board the sooner the holiday starts 👍🏼

      Hi there Darren. Definitely worth getting checked in early. Particularly on the smaller ships I have seen the times fill very fast. Might see you on another cruise one day soon.

    If your taking a European cruise it's 9 hrs earlier then eastern time. Royal told me my check in would be on the 9th at 12:00pm 9 pm pacific time but they didn't tell me it was actually 3pm in the afternoon the day before because Barcelona is 9hrs ahead of us. I went on the app at 5pm just to see and check in was already open for two hrs and I got a 12-1 pm check in time. I usually get the early 10:30 time but 2 hrs later was OK. So be warned if your doing a European cruise it opens a day earlier then the app says. I called Royal caribbean like 4 times and the phone operators all said no it only opens what the app says and clearly they were all wrong. Don't bother asking the agents on the phone because they don't know their information is very generic. I'm upset with myself for not doing what I thought was right from the beginning.

      @bigguy1403 We have a cruise coming up out of Hawaii. We are Australian based and used the "Midnight at the port of embarkation" rule. And again it was 100% bang on. It is disappointing you had such a confusing experience with their staff though.

    Im going on one in December, can you check in on the app? Or does it have to be on the website?

    • @debandmattchat
      @debandmattchat  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you can definitely checkin via the app. Same principle applies though, make sure you are prepared snd have all the information you need so you can streamline the process.
