Thanks Joanne. 💓As Deb mentioned in this video is was probably one of the most fun cruises we have been on. Lukes is certainly great. We dont visit on every P&O cruise, but we certainly do enjoy it for special occasions and Noah was pretty chuffed. They cake was beautiful. 🍰🍰🎂🎂

We packed so much fun in to this cruise. It was a real blast! 🕺

I can definitely see where you're coming from. It would make things much simpler for everyone involved if prices were in Australian dollars while sailing out of Australia! With that said, you do pay in Aussie dollars for anything purchased before hand through the app or the website. eg activities, dining packages, drinks packages, shore tours etc. Its only when onboard purchases are made that passengers are charged in USD. Even if they did charge in AUD the price wouldn't change because they would adjust for the exchange rate. And this isn't uncommon. Many cruise lines charge in USD that visit Australia it really is only P&O/Carnival/Princess that offer the AUD option and for Princess it isn't all sailings.

It is a nice treat to have. We don't visit every time. But we do try and align it with birthdays, anniversaries and the occasional date night.

One of the reasons we love cruising so much, especially from our home port. The holiday starts straight away.

It was a lot of fun. We are booked on a couple of cruises on Voyager when she returns to Brisbane. Should be a lot of fun when she arrives. 🛳🛳🚢🚢

We didn't even come close to the best costume either. Everyone was totally into the theme it was great.

We looked it but were certainly feeling a little flat that day. The early morning slip up took away a little of the day 1 energy. It was so great though with all the cruisers getting into the Disco Glam theme.

@@Joanneklonaris Highly recommend it. It was one of the most energetic cruises we have ever done. The onboard crew did an amazing job.

Its not uncommon for cruise ships to have areas that are "exclusive" to guests in a suite or with a higher tier of loyalty status. The interesting thing with Byron Beach Club on Pacific Adventure is that it is slightly larger than on Pacific Encounter. In the grand scheme its actually not a lot of space. At the end of the day people will always choose whats right for them. Some people prefer smaller ships, some larger. Some like ships with lots of activities, some don't. The great thing about cruising is there are so many choices.

On our last cruise it was quite cold, so we barely visited. However when we were in warmer weather we used it extensively. So our suggestion would be consider what time of year you are sailing as you may not be spending a lot of time there in the winter months.

Hahaha. We had noah for this one. A Standard cabin would have meant separate beds for us, as we had Noah too, and the price was right. Not often we do something like this.

From a value for money perspective, it was amazing. Definitely a different Chefs table experience compared to others such as on Royal Caribbean, but thoroughly enjoyable. P&O sell these "onboard only" for their shorter sailings.

@CruiseCrazedFam We love doing them, but not too often 🤑. It is really surprising how different they are between brands and even ships within he same brand.

@@jammo4747 We haven't see reduced prices for a Chefs Table experience on any cruise for non-drinkers. What we have seen is alternatives offered, such as mocktails and other refreshments. Even if you weren't having the wines, it would still be worth it in our view, given you get very well sized meals and you get the galley tour.

Hi Ash, We always recommend travel insurance. It's important to remember that travel insurance doesn't just cover you while you are on your cruise, but also protects your outlay before you cruise. If the worst happened and you were involved in some sort of accident before you cruise, the travel insurance will often cover cancellations etc. Obviously each policy is different, but we never leave home without it. It is also important to remember that Medicare (If Australian)does not cover any costs onboard, nor does private health insurance and if something did happen you would want to be protected financially.

That's a really good point. It certainly does help with getting through crowds on embarkation day.

It's definitely a possibility, although you would want one that is a bit drippy, many of those can be ber rather smooth in our experience and might not release the dirt well. It's a great idea to consider though if you have one on hand.
