It's so incredibly uplifiting, and it puts both a smile and frown on my face at the same time with how overwhelmingly heartfelt it is. The line before that says something along the lines of "You can't taste the bitter, nor sweet, nothing at all?"- which is a reference to Mafuyu, even though they haven't met yet, since her mental state is so poor that its physically affected her and she can't even taste her food. The fact that Tsukasa, the most stereotypically happy character, is saying something to mafuyu, the most stereotypically sad character, is also something really powerful, especially since the experiences that made them the ways they are are similar in some ways. To be fair, she doesn't have that much screen time in this event despite being the event's 3 star free card But then again, she has like... 5 solo covers?
Call me a hater, but I think emu's voice also tends to be really bright and LOUD, which suits the chorus really well but doesn't do the very soft and sweet solo lines justice. It's for the best she just get mixed in with the group parts on this one. I do think her voice adds to those parts. But seeing as the song is basically 2 minutes long you're not going to be able to fit in so much for everyone tbh. Just realized how long this comment is, I'm so sorry if it sounds like I'm dissing you because that was not the intent here 😭😭 just showing my opinion about the lack of emu

Anyways, I honestly don't know emu very well as a character because I just wasn't drawn to her from the start, but I listen to music from all the groups. And I 100 percent agree with you, from what I can tell most of Emus songs at least SOUND happy (some of wondershos songs actually have darker undertones which can be really interesting!) Emus VA really does keep her voice pretty cheery, and while I haven't really looked into them I know she must have some sad moments because all the proseka characters have that sort of humanness and believability in their writing. But if you sum up emu to just her voice, which is basically the experience I have with her, then like you said it's pretty easy to see why she wouldn't be the first pick for a softer solo lol
