  • Episode 3: "Harsh Reality" unfolds in June 1956, revealing the dire aftermath of Kasimir's battle with alcoholism. Stripped of possessions and purpose, he faces a scathing letter, triggering a profound realization that prompts him to confront his demons at his parents' graves. Determined to reclaim control, Kasimir shifts his focus from self-destruction to resurrecting his farm and defeating alcoholism.
The desolate farm becomes the battleground for Kasimir's redemption, starting with the neglected tractor. Armed with newfound determination, he navigates the village, selling surplus goods to fund the revival. Encounters with others in despair highlight the harsh realities of their shared existence, emphasizing the interconnected struggles.
Kasimir scavenges for parts, transforming the crobar into a tool for progress, not regression. Memories of his father's dreams propel him forward, and the market becomes a means to finance a brighter future, not feed an addiction. Purchasing a light bulb, Kasimir envisions bringing electricity to the farm, a symbol of realizing his father's dream.
The journey takes him to the State Agricultural Farm, offering new opportunities and transactions with Stan. As night falls, Kasimir returns to the farm not in a drunken stupor but with a sense of accomplishment. Fluffy, symbolizing loyalty and resilience, rests amidst the renewed stable, marking a new beginning in Kasimir's journey of redemption.
