- This game is a pleasant surprise for me. With the sheer amount of depth each system has to how polished the game feels and plays, it's definitely worth the purchase as a mecha fan. This game also follows the anime to the T what more can you ask for?

Im loving this game so far. The cut scenes towards the end was everything. I was hyped.
I've unlocked Voltus V, and Mazinger is unlocked, too... im a happy gamer.
Now just wait until you unlock all the combo options.. and that rolling shot, it’s chefs kiss good
Mazinger is in here?! Yo, do they have Shin Getter Robo?
@@odafalz4156 No Shin Getter but they have the regular Getter Robo
Yooooooooooo I forgot this game even existed, thought it was lost to the sands of time
Thanks for making this, looks pretty awesome to me! I’ve always enjoyed Level 5 and being a mecha fan immediately draws me to this 🔥
Thanks for watching my man this game is definitely worth your time and money as a mecha fan
you deserve more subs bro. enjoyed the vid. cant wait for the next one.
Thanks for watching my man, next video will either be about the different elements in the game or the motherboard system I'm almost done with the story probably about another chapter left
So, what do you think about this game, is it worth buying? My main concern is the combat and customization. I'm tempted to buy it just for fill me up until we got GB4 release date.
In my opinion the games combat is very good, its very well put together and engaging with a lot of mechanics behind it. Customization is a bit of a problem. Mechs have set effects so you kinda want to run either a full set of a mech or certain parts it seems. There is a transmog feature but it seems to be limited behind certain missions and the season pass
@@CoercitioYTthis game has a season pass? For non F2P game, that was something. So the customization is a bit restricted eh? Customization is one of the thing that i like about mecha game, so it's a little concerning for me but oh well, maybe i'm gonna buy the game just to have something to play until GB4 got release date
@@vinzseika9826 The set bonuses aren't strong so it's not like you really have to run the full mech set, and you can't change your colors at will it's done via a dye system. The Premium Pass was a bummer but it seems they are going for a semi live service model as more rogues are coming later
Is this game similar to lbx, which was on the 3ds and also made by level 5?
Kinda looks like it. LBX was awesome thanks for reminding me about it!
I tried this game...but it hasn't been as interesting as I'd have hoped for...no offense.
Level 5 has not lost it's edge when developing anime-based games like this, I still remember playing their older games on the PSP like Danball Senki, Danball Senki W and Gundam Age the level of customization for your mechs or LBX is impressive. I don't remember if this was the case in Danball Senki but you could also customize the LBXs of your team members instead of just having them using their default build you see in the anime. Plus, they decided to use 3d story cutscenes in combination with anime style ones so you can see your custom build instead of just seeing the default story LBX protagonist uses.
Yup you can actually use all 3 mechs and customize them in this game
Thanks a ton for the in-depth review.
I own just about every Level-5 game on Switch including ports and the JP YKW games and watched alot of the fan translated MM anime awhile back.
I usually do not care for mech stuff so I was unsure on this game but it is reassuring to know it will be worth my while to support it.
Just found out about this on steam yesterday plan on getting it Friday when I get play and obtain the getter robo skin
You actually get them pretty early in the game
@@CoercitioYT well good to know
Make sure to research GETTER TOMAHAWK AND GETTER BEAM! To use them, it takes a big time but less than 10 hours. GETTER ROBO!!!!
Its in steamunlocked for free you plonker
the concept feels like Danball Senki, i love it
A lot of people have told me they’re the same developer after looking at some gameplay of Danball Senki it really is like a mirror
I hope they localized the 2nd game, we only got the first game on that series.
Does the game have Co-op? Or any progression to play with friends or just sing players and PVP
Yup, they have fully co-op story afaik as well as missions tailored towards Co-Op play as well that give really good rewards such as Conquest
Basically Gatcha Force meets Armored Core.
Very informative, thank you.
Thank you for watching my man
I'm really enjoying the game, the combat is quite satisfying!
Thank so much for covering this game. Level 5 has Done very little to market it
Yeah I dunno where the ads were for this game
The basic version is enough or lacks in customisation parts because of the deluxe edition?
Basic version is enough deluxe parts aren’t able to be scaled to end game
@@CoercitioYT thank you so much
Is this available in North America? Cause I'm not seeing it on the Gamestop site or even Amazon. or wait digital only?
Yeah it’s Digital only unfortunately
You've convinced me, I saw the game in steam and realized there was zero fanfare, I like a good anime story translated into a game with actual good gameplay so I'll be eat'n good!
Do I have to play other games first to understand the story? or is it a new game with new story and characters?
Wired contains all of the story from the previous versions of the game.
Yes please, more Megaton content
Definitely this game has a lot to cover
Controllable VN sections like 13 sentinels made me very interested. As long as rhe story and combat are good im in
The story and combat is definitely up there
0:10 Sonic and Knuckles-ish.
I bought the Japanese version from a few years ago for really cheap, i figured it would be a good way to test the waters before buying something that could end up being $50 digital dog doo. Can't wait for GB4!
Im not going to lie the way I thought the game would play in the early game compared to where I am now the combat has opened up tremendously. I’ll have some gameplay up soon.
I can’t wait for GB4 too this game is a good filler for me. There’s going to be a PvP stream on level 5s channel on release day too.
Not seeing a physical release. Steam only?
Yeah it’s steam or console store only unfortunately
Just try dodi repack
It look nice ! I've heard rumors that we could unlock Grendizer, is it true ?
Yup you get them all pretty early on too
@@CoercitioYT I think Grendizer isnt in yet. I've unlocked Getter, Combattle V, Voltes V and Mazinger but no Grendizer.
@@Loanstalker Yeah I think so too Grendizer was in the first game so it should come back
Is it beginner freindly
Is there a mech that has a parry or counter
Yea it’s not locked behind your mech though it’s more part of the motherboard system as a skill tree upgrade
Nice @@CoercitioYT
I really hope this does well enough where they drop ykw4 on steam. Like im not a fan of mech games but this reminds me of transformers back in the day and im downloading this as soon as im off work
Damn level 5 just be making mech games fr fr huh lol
Is the campaign length at least long enough as i hope its not short because I told my wife i want this for my father's day gift 🤣
The campaign is pretty long if you watch everything I would say it’s maybe around 20 hours
Awesome review!
Thanks for watching my man
How many base mech for now?
Seems to be about 25-30
@@CoercitioYT I am not a fan of this series story but I hope gameplay and mechanic will heal me from previously mech games
I should buy this
I’m having a lot of fun with the game and there’s so much to do I’ll keep playing for a while
Looks like my type of game
This game came out of nowhere and delivered crazy
How much hours to finish the game ?
I would say the story is probably around 20-30 hours if you watch all the cutscenes
@@CoercitioYT thanks
This game is hardwired like Custom Robo GameCube
Yup
Stumbled on this while looking at Sand Land on PS5 last night. Looks awesome and was really surprised to see that its from Level-5, I figured they were only doing Ni No Kuni these days. I think I'm gonna get this to show support, only $50 and I've always enjoyed L5 titles.
If you like Mecha game this game definitely is really good and the boss battles are definitely fun too.
Me too, I was looking for sand land. It's looks like LBX so much and that is a good game
dose this play like the SD gundam capsule fighter game?
I’ve never played that game but it plays like SD Gundam Battle alliance sort of
@@CoercitioYT okay that tells me everything not a fan of the auto target sometimes it get annoying
@@Chetguidry09 i feel you the camera definitely doesnt have as many problems as SD Battle Alliance but it does have auto lock
@@CoercitioYT okay that was my main problem
@@Chetguidry09 trust that was my main problem too hashmal was annoying af in sd Gundam because of it
no SBI detected to?
Is this game like gotcha force?
Similar in that its a third person mecha acction game but not really. Gotcha force has succesor in Gundam Vs Gundam series (in terms of gameplay). im a big fan of Gotcha Force and am enjoying this so maybe you will too.
Supposedly there’s a rougelike mode in the game
Dawg, there is so much in this game content wise it's lowkey overwhelming. I did not expect there to be this much stuff
Bring Xenogears to ps4/ps5 already.
Cool
Thanks for watching my man
ngl i kinda dig the story, normally i dont care to much for the story in games like this but god damm do i like it, good animation too, this game is literly gundam breaker but if the combat was better and the raid bosses are fun to fight imo and they almost always drop the special iconic legendaries, my one gripe is that this games doesnt drop getter enough finished the first season of the story still dont have a full getter set, but i do have combatller, voltes and mazinger.
Yeah you can even transmog the Collab suits so you can use their special moves without actually having the set on
@@CoercitioYT yep i have that whit my great mazinger and voltes V, just wish we could set up some of the games music as some of the songs from the story are amazing
@@ROBDEWAND Yeah if they added a music center to the menu later would be much appreciated (surely they see this)
@@CoercitioYT gave them that as a feedback considering this is a grind game (a pretty fun one) and those usually have a song selection option. and this game has really nice songs like giant steel man or whatever it was called
This game rules
Yessir it’s definitely up there
Is most of the game a visual novel ?
The story for the most part is presented in the style to a visual novel. The story part of the game is very dedicated to following the anime so they cram a lot of points in at one time. Which makes it feel like you're just watching instead of playing sometimes, but everything is voice acted and the sprites are all animated as well so it kept it engaging for me. (Until I started hopping around in the story so I could see my favorite parts from the anime)
@@CoercitioYTwhat I meant is I saw a steam review that says that this game is 90 percent visual novel and 10 percent action. Would that be correct ?
@@liornachmias8980 There is a lot of story dialogue but once your done the story you can do whatever you want
@liornachmias8980, there's a good amount of side missions you can do
looks good game
important question is there an English dub?
I can check this for you tomorrow I got you dawg
@@CoercitioYT cool thanks.
it doesnt have english dub and also the game has japanese release
@@stanleymikkosantiago1925 Thanks for the info. Guess ill save some money and skip this one. Its weird that something small like grendizer got a dub but a big LEVEL 5 robot game didn't. Its also odd they have been advertising it with a english opening.
@@saloz9483 Yeah no eng dub but if you're still interested in the game I wouldn't let it deter you the game is really fun
Is it 3 plyr coop campaign
I believe so, I havent tried myself but I did see others doing the story co-op
@@CoercitioYT bet. Bout to buy it in that case
@@dalvinduchesne2325 it’s definitely been worth the cop so far
13 Sentinels with insane gameplay
Yes please
Yaes
Did they hire the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 UI designer. 😀
That’s a good question lol
The cheese intro kinda pisses me off but the game play is sick and the 13 sientinals inspo is sick af
The intro get you in that super mecha vibe tho LOL
which tribe in africa are you from sir? love your content, love from sweden xxxx
Thank you for watching 🙏🏾, my family is actually from Barbados but I was born in the States
I think I need this game haah
This is the closest thing we got to GB4 until Aug 29th I recommend it
@@CoercitioYT thanks! Yeah definitely excited for that
Reminds me of dauntless with mechs
That’s actually a good comparison on how the combat is paced
So its not a gas game? Its a game with a single player campaign right?
Single Player Campaign, Rouglike Mode, PvP, Big Boss Fight Mode and probably more on the way they did say other mechs will be unlockable later like the Yatabushi pre-order will be unlockable
@@CoercitioYT nice! Thanks so much for the info. Gonna buy it asap
(First thing, I have to tell you that I was right)
The BEST thing about this game is the PVP... it is like Dragon Nest where all gears will be nerfed and ONLY SKILLS are required... yes its unfair for gamers who dont really have any skills or talent😅 but well... couldnt ask for more right?
The PvP is really fun, it's very team orientated too so if you play with your team you'll do well
So no sweet baby involvement?
None of those shenanigans here dawg lol
Womp womp
@@CoercitioYTHallelujah!
Not the dogshit story though, can't skip it fast enough
Honestly don’t like the visual novel crap smh why cant they just do a traditional world map, but i have not played the game yet, is the story catching and good cause last visual novel game i played was boring as all heelllll
The story is pretty good it’s a alien invasion story with super robots (trying not to spoil it) and the story’s visual novel is very high quality
can i has waifu?
