The film felt like it was a repeat of animal abuse followed by a childish joke followed by a rock song. There was a lot to like but I just couldn’t connect with this one unfortunately.
Adam Warlock being in this, and not in Infinity War, is such an insult. He was the main protagonist of the Infinity Gauntlet story. When I saw Endgame in theaters, I nearly walked out. Thanos is my favorite Marvel villain, and I don't know who that incompetent purple people yeeter was, but that was not Thanos. Uhg. GotG1 stole so much thunder from the MCU that it literally turned Thor into Jeff Bridges. I liked it, sure, but I see now that it never should have been made. Its influence has spoiled the franchise. It's all one big joke now.
Honestly, Adam Warlock was completely wasted he was just a joke in this film. It’s a shame due to how big of a role he plays in the Infinity Gauntlet story. However, that is just James Gunn he thinks every character needs to be the comedic relief. I don’t have much faith for what he will do with DC. I agree Infinity War actually made Thanos into a good villain, different motives for sure compared to his comic counterpart but he was still complex in his own right. Then in Endgame he was a shell of his former self. I completely agree with that statement of Guardians 1. There’s actually a video explaining that exact thing I’m not sure if you have seen it but I’ll leave a link. th-cam.com/video/rVrkBXGEJDU/w-d-xo.html
Every Marvel film since the first Black Panther film has been disappointing. One day, Marvel geeks will admit that the Avengers movies are trashy, jumped up toy adverts that have truncated the potential of the the Marvel-verse forever. The excitement over comic hero crossovers really causes brainrot to the point where fans can't admit that the films themselves are appalling and trying to fit them into the Marvel-verse has damaged it permanently.
Personally I thought Infinity War, Endgame and No Way Home were good films but everything after those have been disappointing especially the Disney+ shows.
@@glennsworldofbrickfilmsand7624 Completely understandable I know loads of people enjoyed the film which is great but I just couldn’t click with it unfortunately.
Your review is spot on. I too felt it was unnatural and hard to settle in to the story

I cried when Star-Lord went back to his grandpa 😭
That was a nice scene he had to visit them eventually so I’m glad they did that. What Marvel project are you excited for next?
Excuse me? Octupi are not cute?!?! Has Gunn not seen a Dumbo Octopus? It's literally the cutest animal in the sea! SMH
Had to google it myself but it was a cute fella didn’t realise it’s the one that’s in finding nemo😅
Very good 👍🏽
Thank you
