  • Sai Kaew Beach - Koh Samet Island
    Sai Kaew is the best beach on Samet Island and a very popular resort destination. The tourist season lasts all year long and the infrastructure is very well developed. Landscapes, nature and weather of Sai Kaew are amazing and you will enjoy your vacation under the warm sun.
    Sai Kaew is the most popular beach on Koh Samet Island. It is located on its east coast in the north and short distance from the ferry pier. It's also part of the Khao Laem Ya National Park. The coastline is 780 m long and its width varies from 20 to 30 meters. The sea bottom is covered in white grainy sand. The water is transparent and very clean and the depth rises gradually. The first 30-50 meters are shallow, perfect for families with children. Sai Kaew also has a lot of tropical greenery and palm trees that provide added protection from the heat of the sun.
    The beach becomes wide during low tides, and it's very nice to walk during the cool evenings. The coastline is always well kept and clean, despite the large crowds of tourists.
    November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.
    The beach has a lot to do during the day as well as the evening. Lots of hotels and restaurants make this a great destination for beach lovers.

    This is the most popular beach on the island. If you want to see a few other popular things to do on the island here is a video I made during my last visit to the island.

      For what reason do you classify this as the best beach on the island?

    • @endlessjourneytravels
      @endlessjourneytravels  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@scambodia147 it has good sand, sea and all of the amenities. It’s the most popular for a reason. I’ve been to all of the beaches and this one has the most to offer. It’s more crowded but a long stretch of sand leaves plenty of room that you can still relax and do your own thing.

      I really enjoy this beach. The sand is amazing. The powdery white sand is some of the best in Thailand. If you haven’t been here you might try to go check it out one of these days. Renting a scooter and buzzing around the island is a lot of fun.

      I will be in Thailand hopefully by May of 24, that is exactly my plan. go to a spot for a week and check out the area around it, then move on, No rush slow travel. For the first year jump around and if after a year if I want to stay longer in SE Asia I will do a Retirement visa @@endlessjourneytravels

      @@joezip6389 that sounds like the right way to do it. If you like the spot can stick around longer than a week as well. I’ve been here for 14 years and I always see something new. People get stuck in ruts often but moving around keeps things fresh. I hope my videos are giving you a good outline of things worth seeing. I’m getting ready to head south next week so you should be able to get a few ideas from there as well hopefully. I haven’t decided exactly where to go yet, I kinda like to just get a generally idea and then see what I see and enjoy the trip.

      Glad you enjoyed it. This is a fun beach to visit with some amazing powdery white sand. It’s been awhile since I visited the island and I had a bit of free time from work so was a nice trip. By the way how was your trip to Chiang Mai in September? Do you make it like you were planning?

    Nice vid! Where would you recommend on the main land to stay a few night prior to catching the boat over to Koh Samet? My husband and I always go south from Bangkok but never east, looking for some fun beach towns with some night life! Thanks! Also just subscribed :D

      If you are heading east from Bangkok I would think about staying around Pattaya or Bangsaen beach area. There is a lot to do in the evenings. Skip the main part of Pattaya but stay somewhere like Jomtien Beach. Rayong itself is kinda sleepy but still wouldn’t be too bad to stay if you want to relax but in my opinion if you go there you might as well go to the island for that. I like the beaches better on the island than the mainland but that is a personal preference. If you have time you could always look at going to Koh Chang for a few days and work your way back to Koh Samet. It’s about 5-6 hours away from Bangkok so it might be rather away than you want to go. I hope this helps. Thanks for subscribing and if you have any questions or anything let me know.

      If you are travelling with children or your partner I would avoid Pattaya like the plague!- It’s full of middle aged delusional westerners with their bought girlfriends for the week,not a nice part of Thailand at all.On the other hand it’s a vibrant night life which koh Samet does not have.
