    Would love a video breakdown on how you track your returns. 40% CoC is a lot!

    Did you start a business (LLC, corp etc.) to run your airbnb?

    • @shyennebahar
      @shyennebahar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Yes that should be the approach when you buy your property. It is good to form a LLC

    What app did you use to track your expenses??

    • @shyennebahar
      @shyennebahar  ปีที่แล้ว

      Currently I use Mint, but I've been dabbling on Quickbooks specifically for my airbnb. I create another category in budget for airbnb only in Mint. Also another good tool is Stessa and it's free

    I have popcorn ceilings in my personal residence we just purchased. I heard some people just use joint compound to cover it up. One person told me they use some special way to remove using water to remove the popcorn look. Can you tell what you did? Thanks in advance.

    • @shyennebahar
      @shyennebahar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Miguel, yes you can use some of the special water to get rid of it but it really depends on your popcorn ceilings and how difficult it is to remove. Usually once you spray it and then scrape it off it should come off like mashed potatoes (that's what my contractor said lol). However in my case, my popcorn ceiling was very hard to remove because the previous owner painted the ceilings over and over again untill it became very hard. In the bedrooms, my contractor scalpel it off manually by hand. Then in my living room he scraped the popcorn (not completely) then gave it 3skim coats of spackle then a coat of primer then paint

      @@shyennebahar Thanks for your quick reply. That makes sense, I think I will eventually have a contractor remove the popcorn ceilings the owners only removed them downstairs and left upstairs untouched. Loving your videos. Hopefully in the future I will purchase my STR. 😃

    Wow your interest rate is low at 3.25%, you got in at a good time. I'm trying to buy some properties with my brother in Oklahoma to do Airbnb and interest is 5.5% for me. Housing market is cooling off but interest rate is going up. Are you doing Airbnb full time or do you have a full time/part time regular job and you do Airbnb on the side?

    • @shyennebahar
      @shyennebahar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I closed on my house Nov 2021. Even at that time, people told me the housing market is overpriced, and I still went through it. Currently, I am not doing airbnb full time but I do want to get couple more properties.

      That's great! Honestly, I know the interest rates are up but I think if you can afford it and the price is still reasonable and if the CoC is great. You should def go for it! Please keep me up to date will love to hear about your progress!
