“Why does God allow trial and trouble into our life? Because disciples of Jesus Christ, then and now, draw nearer to God in the storm then they do in the successes of life. Faith is fostered more in the furnace of affliction than it is in the seasons of flourishing. Worship is nurtured more in difficulty and pain than in prosperity. If you’re a child of God, you will reach the shores of Heaven, but you will not do so on a sea of glass. Jesus promises trouble, He guarantees there will be gusts and gales and sorrow, and he uses trials in our life to strengthen our faith and to wean us from this world, so we would look to Jesus Christ as our first call rather than our last resort. When was the most refining times in your life? I don’t think it’s when you’re high-fiving because of your success. It’s likely in the valley, great pain, great difficulty, deep trouble, deep tragedy, “where are you, God?” type of questions.”
14:15 Many quote Philippians 4:19 saying " God shall supply all your needs". In the KJV bible the word isn't needs, but need. Why? Its because He IS all you need. Your "needs" are met thru Him. 😁
So the hard question is....WHY then does He let some of us suffer so much through our entire lives?? Parents who not only tell you and your siblings you were a mistake and you're only here because they didn't have birth control, but they sexually molest you and your siblings, setting you up for a lifetime of horrendous torment? I was born again at age 28 and still have struggled immensely with so many issues, even though I immediately became a serious student of the Word and sought to understand it and be like Jesus!
