I have had so many companies have offered to send me free laser cutters and engravers and I've turned them all down because the build quality was never there the features were never there the whole package did not add up to what I wanted in my shop or in my home from a laser system like this. You can order a thinner foam and then cut out the spots and put a different color under it so you can see if one is missing. Tough mat works best for bottom layer

The safety of this laser engraver is what I like. I always thought the open gantry lasers being sold were a severe safety hazard for exposure to the laser beam and toxic fumes. The ads where they would show someone setting it down on the living room table to use it would drive me nuts.
I know what you mean. I have another small open style laser and I often end up not using it because I'd have to walk around my shop wearing safety goggles all the time it was running, lol.

Why can't you toss your own router onto the starlink router and use the second router to give the device a static IP?
I dont know how computer networking savvy you are, but it is normally possible to log into your router and assign a specific ip address to a specific mac address/device. That might be what you were talking about when you said it is not possible to do it from the other side because we have starlink though.
Former MCSE, CCA, and CCNA. So fairly savvy. Starlink’s router does not offer static IP reservations
@@denoftools definitely more knowledgeable on the topic than me then. I didn't want to assume what you knew or didnt know which is why I worded it the way i did. Does starlink support bridging the connection to use your own router? I have never had a satellite based internet provider so I was unaware they had any differences from standard broadband type services other than the lower max speeds. I am kinda curious now.
@@joshnabours9102 You would need to mind their Ethernet adapter and then connect that to your own router. It could be done and in fact other than the adapter I have all the other equipment. Be honest I'm pretty burned out on IT stuff these days LOL, and this isn't a device I use daily so remapping the ip address takes about a minute or two on my phone and really isn't that bad

i really want one of these, but, but, been reading that the customer support for this machine is really bad, if your machine comes in broken they will not help fix it, they will not answer the phone, if they do they will move you all over till you hangup, they want exchange the machine for a good one, i am hoping they are fixing this, i would really like one but not a broken one.
At $1,249.99 it better be good.

At 4:03 if you look down to lower left on the panel you can see an upload icon. You just click on that, find the file you want to use and it imports it.
Can you cut clear acrylic with it?
You say it comes with images (samples) to burn, I'm unclear, can you import your own images to burn?
You can import your own very easily. That's what I did when I used my logo.
