Kudos to Chesterfield and that second goal was an absolute peach, but County were not going to be denied and this team were never, ever going to give up. This has been the most emotional season I can remember, and it's had the happiest of happy endings. To Luke Williams, every player and every member of staff, thank you so, so much.

Grimsby fan here. Very pleased to see justice done & both teams that deserved to go up have done. Incredibly harsh on Chesterfield but it’s the way it goes sometimes, we’ve all been there. The league is all the better for County and Wrexham being back in it. Good on you!

Obviously, Notts will be a huge part of Welcome to Wrexham season 2. I’m sure it’s complicated but, I hope that this playoff run can be highlighted in the documentary. Truly incredible emotion and fighting spirit from Notts and all their fans. Deserves a show of its own to be fair!
Notts County gave me bad memories of my first playoff final in 1991 as a young boy. I hated Tommy Johnson with a passion after that game!😂 Congrats on getting back in the league though, you clearly deserved it this time after the season you had.
Horrible to imagine that County has not promoted this season … they have set four new club records this season (most league points in a season 107, most league goals in a season 117, highest goal scorer in a season with Langstaff 42, longest unbeaten run 25 - 19 wins 6 draws) … congratulations
The quality of the football at this level, the passion of it, the behaviour of fans. This is how football was meant to be…for the masses, exciting, with great heart…the real “ game of the people”.
