i have been to bogota twice, i stayed in Santa Fe - and explored all around. Usaquen, Santa Fe, Chapinero, it was GREAT. Colombian people were friendly to me, the food was great, there was a ton to do. And they are particularly into sexy time - so that was fun. I'd tell everyone to go, and just act like youre in Chicago. lol. (Im from Chicago)

Santa Fe seems super sketchy to me. Especially walking around alone.

True Santa Fe easily you could get beaten robbed or killed. I think the names are similar but not at all the same place😮

Great video! FYI The Bogotá "old" downtown is probably one of the worst parts of the city because back in the 40s there was a huge popular uprising against the government that destroyed a large part of it, especially peoples homes (mass looting and such) after that, ALL the middle and upper income families moved further north away from the government center, thus it was practically vacant and overtaken by extremely impoverished displaced people coming from the countryside. It's a shame because most tourist only come here for a day or two and ONLY get to see this side of the city, alto it does have a Bohemian charm to it, it's not what Bogotá really has to offer, It's like if people who go to LA only see the downtown area near skid row..

This video has some of the most interesting commentary-by you, of many of your videos. Interesting to see you address some critiques, reflect on them, and revisit a city based on the comments . Loved the remark about US prices. The city itself reminds me of Denver, or maybe Tashkent, with the alpine flavor . Great video. Informative!!

Please dont stay in or near the downtown, stay as close to park 93rd (parque de la 93) as possible.

As long as you use common sence you will be fine, not more dangerous than LA or NY.. just stay away from the Downtown AT NIGHT you will disappear lol

Bogota is not the place for gringos unless you are aware of everything absolutely all the time and know exactly where you are and on what day and at what time and amounts of police presence ( disappears after a certain hour) and still anything can happen yet far far less likely the further north ( rich) you go. The government may be there but the officals hide away in the north

heres the thing, bogota is like any city, everyday has an area tourists probably should go and they also have higher end area. I just spend 5-6 weeks in bogota and i stayed in the la Candelaria / las aguas / las neives area. and yeah not too bad, but a far cry from chapinero.

Indeed if you began the video in the central district it would be quite a haul to go up North to 100 ave! Consider the same NYC Wall Street up all the way to the Bronx. Food prices are cheaper because salaries are a fraction of the developed world. Bogota safe? ONLY WHERE YOU WERE! You had no idea what it actually was! 😮

Not agreeing or disagreeing with you because I've never been there, but anyone who knows cities knows that the main / government area is usually terrible, so that's not a valid excuse.

You went two years ago to a very sketchy place and today you were in the North ( Manhattan) technically Chapinero but hardly so. You got basically both ends of the financial spectrum. The political analysis was pretty far off. Your robbery comments were not accurate either with reality. Stay in the North and you are in the BUBBLE
