Man I wish I'd known that before. Now I'm really kicking myself because I left a lot of money on the table in the Derby. I'm fairly new to this, I did win a chunk and shouldn't complain, but that opportunity probably won't happen again in my lifetime. At least I learn something new every time I tune in to your videos. Yeah good ol Masters Degree. Sometimes I think I am too smart for my own good. I also have a PHD .....a (Pony Handicapping Degree). The PHD costs a lot more than the Masters. HA!

Good insight!....I like playing that exact method, $1 pick 3s using 1-2 horse in only leg of the 3. I usually pick a spot of 2 semi favorites and a horse I recognize that has value. It’s paid off a few times but like you said maybe a $30 pick 3 but at 4-5xs it’s not too bad on a $8-10 ticket! 😎.....I haven’t had time to do anything these last 2 weeks. Since the Preakness basically. I get 0 internet out on this new location we’re working at. It sucks. Imma try and make some bets today tho before I go to sleep....Pimlico Race 5 #10 horse, I’m throwing some money on it today.
I will be rooting for your 10 horse in the 5th at Pimlico! The Pick 3 bet is a great example. Try to have that payout multiple times! Before they change up the tax thing a couple of years ago I would try to bet Pick 3s in lower increments and have it multiple time to keep it under the tax threshold which I think back then was $599 or less. So instead of betting a $5 Pick 3 combination, you would bet $1 Pick 3 5 times. That way if it paid under $600 you wouldn't get hosed by the taxes. Little things like that help out your bottom line in the end. Good luck to your bets and hope you get internet access soon.

Number 1 rule of horse racing: bet a little to win a lot. Multiple tickets on the chalk is a fools errand.
That is good advice. Bet a little to win a lot is how I like to bet also.
