- Bees pollinate more than a third of the world’s crops. So what would happen if they went extinct? For one, it would likely halve the number of fruits and vegetables on supermarket shelves. Plus, it could drastically alter the food chain, starting with insects and other animals that depend on the plants that bees pollinate.

Why Bees Going Extinct Could Mean No More Ice Cream Or Avocados - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
damn, imagine an orange costing $80 because of how rare it's gonna be without bees
@boogie lollipop what are you talking about? Orange trees are self pollinating, meaning it doesn’t need bees.
ram5 ramen5 ur still need some
boogie lollipop oh shoot
Well stock up now
ram5 ramen5 missed the opportunity to make a pun.. Beecause why not?
I never got stung so i don’t hate them
Narwhalblast 99 agree with this
I am scared of getting stung
I got stung many times but I forgive them because the human race would end if they go extinct 🙌🏽
I got stung in the corner of my eye twice in one summer. I was 10 then.
Narwhalblast 99 I’m not afraid of them and wasps and I let them walk crawl on me. Their pretty cool
we need a army of bees to save the bees
I used the bees to destroy the bees
SwetyBG I used humans to destroy aliens
So in summary
We’re SCREWED
XXIXII We always have been
Not necessarily. We will suffer from it, not "die out". It would corrupt the eco system though, so on the long run, yeah probably.
Sweet
Yes
All because of us.
I've got stung twice. But man, I wish they don't die out.
Bedbugs, however, they can rot in hell for all I care.
Yep 0
I agree with the bedbugs........I agree-
Or wasps and hornets.

wait are bedbugs real?? i thought that was a joke
Why did the bee get married?
Because he found his honey.

Nice
Bee-cause he found his honey :'-)

._.
Honestly, bees are cute and my favourite insect. They're fluffy 😗
I think they’re really cute also but I think the most impressive thing about them is their socket which can reach human levels of complexity and far outperform us in how they cooperate with each other
You haven’t gotten stung right
@@yadidalamillla619 The first couple of times are bad but then you dont feel anything
@@yadidalamillla619 I got stung in the night on the elbow 😅, it woke me up in the night and it was like death, but I still think they r cute 😂😂
Also butterflies 💕🦋
I got stung twice by a bee but I still think they’re cute
I have a two big drumstick trees at my backyard. Both are full of flowers right now and every time I go outside, there’s always tons of bees collecting pollen for em.
Same in Bulgaria
Nicole B. Had no idea they grow really fast and tall! And they attract so much bees! Hi 👋 alll the way from Mexico :)
@@thetacoguyy I've seen a lot of bee hives here and can't complain. I absolutely adore them.
No pressure Bee's...
Humans have a $15 Billion dollar job for you.
Blessed be...
Why do people HATE bees, hornets, and wasps?!?! Sure they sting us here and there, but our species can't live without them!!
As long as they do not enter my house, they will live
They are actually my favorite insects out there!!

Damn I’m a beekeeper...
The government should stop propping up the agricultural industry particularly by paying people to farm less of their land. More land farmed with less use of pesticides would maintain crop yields and let the bees come back.
My father is a beekeeper. I'm starting my own bee-project this year.
Any updates bro? It’s been a year 😅
Im starting C project already
Butterflies: am I a joke to you?
Ah, i think you’re saying we’re all gonna die.
I love bees! So cute~
Videos like the one I just watched a made by almond growers. The bee extinction is actually just some farmers who want cheaper pollination services. Almost 2/3 of the honeybees in the USA are shipped to the almonds every season. They need more bees so that the price would drop on pollinating.
I never once got stung and I don’t know what it feels like and I want to know but if I do get stung it kills the bee...
I like to refer to bees as load-bearing species. Of course, I went to a beekeeping course and one of the common causes are varroa.
The biggest question: is there a possibility to resurrection of A. melliphera?
This gotta bee terrifying.
I’ve gotten attacked by like 10 bees once and I still love them. Little mfs hurt, but we need them
we can't live without bees and spiders
Bees I dont want to go but spiders can go
@@ryunniesoriginal
Good Luck world without Spiders though
Bees are cute and helpful. When you see a bee Don't go "AHHH A BEE!" they won't Sting if you don't move. They sting won't hurt but they will die
people are so scared of bees but they wont just sting you for no reason, i rescue them all the time and they crawl around in my hand and ive never been stung
Ever heard of killer bees
@@jaden-rs9vt we dont have those in normal suburban towns and im not dumb enough to go provoke these bees for them to attack me
ATEEZ they’re not like other bees even the slightest noise can set them off
@@cirrocumulus1948 good thing we dont have them where i live then so ill just keep chilling with my normal bees
There are other species which are just as well adapted for pollination such as hoverflies, butterflies but overall all pollinators are in severe decline due to loss of grassland and land conversion for agriculture and unnecessary overuse of insecticide and pesticides.
I have no beef with bees, but wasps? Yes I do.
Ma'am I think you're The one afraid to lose ice cream
🌺 Thank You!
ONCE I GOT STUNG BY A BEE IN THE NECK IT HURT A LOT!!NO ONE TOLD ME THERE WAS A BEE ON MY NECK!!
Humanity and nature NEEDS Bees ‼️‼️👍🤘💯🔥
So I just have to hand pollinate a greenhouse to survive...
If that happens in 2020, theres no point of being alive this year..
Save bees by playing jazz
Bee's can literally be replaced by Fire-Extinguisher type machines.
Fill them with farm grown pollens and spray them on flower beds. Big ones can be loaded on helicopters.
Not that I'm advocating for their extinction or anything but the declining bee hysteria is overblown
It will take a lot of money to grow all that pollen and companies won't like that. Food prices will also skyrocket cuz of this.
If you grow your own garden could u pollinate your veg
I can live without avocados
What about ice cream
Which bees? Honey bees? Bumblebees? All species of bees?
DragonKazooie89 all
It’s almost like there’s other major pollinators
And that honey bees are actually an invasive species
Can they make a bee prototype
I saw a bee but it doesn't attack me. It's cute, not gonna lie about it.
THEIR SO CUTE :3333
Wild bees are doing well thank you. The domestic honey bees are on the decline because not too many are keeping them anymore. We here in PH don't have too many honey bee keepers but we get our crops of avocados in sufficient quantities thanks to wild bees, flies, butterflies bats etc.....
WILD BEES ARE IN DEACLINE HONEY BEES ARE AN INVASE SPECIES
The reason domestic honey bees are dying at such a high rate is because we keep poisoning crops that they pollinate with horrible chemicals that mass murder them, not because "not enough bee keepers"
I rarely see them now..😭😭
Bees are my favorite insect
One word in this video: Extinction...
No breeding bees and release them into the wild, idk that's scary
Great idea
The second point is that they are not critical pollinators
. There hundreds upon thousand of other pollinators that could do the Job better than bees.
Okay. Let's see when the bee goes extinct
@@__ethan__ I think he is right tho. I'm not a specialist but I think if needed we could replace them.
Hmm... I have seen much more dead bees in my yard over the years.
Bees are an invasive species in the Americas. Life was still thriving there even before bees were introduced there because of other pollenators such as butterflies and more! The Native Americans even called honeybees "the white man's fly."
Of*
wow bee movie is coming true
Bees don't make ice cream?
You really think those business are going to stand still and loose profits?
NO MY TWO FAVOURITE FOODS!!
It's gmo seeds Monsanto Corp did you know the giant bumble 🐝 is to large to fly but it does
Oh my God SAVE THE BEES!!! Because I need AVOCADOS!!!!
🐝💖🥑
Kimberly Lopez okay Karen
@@gonewrong5997 that's Ms. Karen to you, peasant.
Kay Elle lmfao
So the humanity solution to this is to replace bees with robots!!!
Save the bees
Bees are totally fine! The ones I hate, are wasps.
Aren't there other pollinators besides bees?
do what I did a thing do, make a solitary bee hotel
Guys can u tell me how I can help so I’m not useless in this
Dont kill bees on purpose and dont freak out to prevent getting stung. If you stay calm they won't sting
Either do one/any of these
- Reduce pollution (air, land, or water, preferably air)
- If you see a bee just sitting there, give it sugary water
- Avoid overheating your house
Fun fact there's 20,000 plus species of bees and if you live in the U.S. honey bees are an invasive species that came here when European settlers came to the U.S. honey bees also are killing off other species of bees ( in the U.S. at least ) honey bees not being in America or anywhere else they are an invasive species would probably be better of without them since there are other insects and animals that can pollinate
So instead of building up the bee’s population the humans have decided “ I know what will work… Robots” like wtf how ass backwards are we?
Vegans are saying Samuel Ramsey is a n word and the Verroa Mite, aka bee liver sucker, should bee (pun intended) left alone. Every species of bee is their favourite liver
Drone Pollinators Of Course! At Least They Don't Sting At All.
Its expensive and hard to keep
How do we grow taller??????
there are more important things in life than ice cream
Then you must of never had ice créeme then.
@@LightStorm. actually i have, i just think there are more pressing concerns than running out of ice cream...especially that turns out to be the extinction of bees
Damn!
omg I killed a bee colony because It was in front of my room's window and I started having a lot of bees inside my house :/
If you go to my school, u will see lots of bees
No avocados = no Billie Eilish
No flowers = no Nicki Minaj
No milk = no dojo cat
No nails = no cardi b
No cardi b = no cardi e
No these people = death
So just the ones who have enough money to Pay for food are gonna be the ones with highest economic level. A lot of people are gonna die of famine. That is so sad.
I wonder if its possible to make artificial bees like in black mirror
@Chonghan L True good point.
We would be fine without honeybees, there are other pollinators like different types of bees besides honeybees
I contest the nutrition idea.. even without citrus in the diet, vitamin c from other produce will suffice.. i know someone who survives only from drinking milk tea.. if that produce figure is true, socio.economic.political issues will be of more concern.. aside from reduced yields, jobs, companies, and communities is very much on its path
Once fried chicken & pizza doesn’t go extinct I’m cool.
You need wheat to make pizza and tomatoes for the pizza sauce.
Chickens eat corn (and other plants).
So those can go extinct as well.
I can go in depth but I'm too lazy to type
If we lost all the bees, there will still be ice cream, we will use mothers milk or milk of the puppy.(got lol) and as for food. As long as humans walk the planet...there will be food to eat. (Think about that..lol)
Dude,Robots arent the answer to everything
You would think the rise of organic farming would have helped bee recovery.
Im here because of Piers Morgan 😮
Not a big deal, scientist should just change house fly into bees, it's called GMO 🐝 (bees) the house fly 🧐🤔
What do you mean?
Wow it IS an episode of black mirror
Save them bois
To save bees don't consume honey
I dont really care about bees because I've never got stung but if they did die...😪😥
Mr beast can fix this
If bees are dying we build robots for pollination..
We just need to live on this planet at any cost..our children should live..our generation should survive..
Is that it..?
Americans, who've been eating plastic they call "food" for the past two hundred years be like "so what?"
HAHAH! True!
So true lmfaoo
What happens if a bee
Flys in your bellybutton
We'll just hire people to do the pollination for us, easy
@Creamyguya And fruit will cost 3 times more. Very big brain. And soon there will be problems with child labor.
Why cant mosquitos go extinct
Barry Bee Benson was awfully right.
🐝🐝🐝🐝💐🌸🌺🌻🌾
And no more life (I think)
We are in the endgame now
LOOK INTO THIS - EPA History: FIFRA Amendments of 1988 ITS THIS, ITS THIS, ITS THIS
Bees aren't going extinct, it's just that the bees that farmer have are dying quickly.
Beekeepers are what's going extinct. There are keepers and havers. Keepers keep bees by constantly multiplying their colonies by splitting. Havers just buy more bees. We really need more beekeepers. It is a,fascinating hobby...Sweet rewards.
