- in this video you will watch DPU20 and DPU30 locomotives current condition, Pakistan Railways brought these locomotives in 2003 from Dong fang Dalian locomotive corporation, China.
few of the locomotive,s were CBU and others were SKD & CKD and assembled here at Risalpur locomotive factory Pakistan, total units of Locomotives were 69,
after 2 years of service in Pakistan Railways few major defects were found in these DPU20 and Dpu30 locomotives, and most common were cracks in under frames,
now all of these chines locomotives are grounded since
2010 and waiting for rehabilitation,
it was 7 millions $ deal which badly damaged the performance of Pakistan Railways,

As far as diesel railway engine manufacturing is concerned Indian engines are far better than Chinise. Our ALCOs ( first manufactured around late fifties ) are still running. Many of those present ones are fifty years old. Pakistan is wasting public money.

twenty baki kaha gaya? they are near to 30 yr old ones here but now unfortunately most are scrapped!!
Alco made in India has infinite life, as Indians have very good refurbishing capability.

Bas hmaray country ki history mein corrupt log boht aye, Ye bhai ne video mein jo itni bari amount btai hai 1000% sure ho kar keh sakta hun iss mein 60% paisa loot lia gya ho ga, 40% actual amount hogi jis pe ye locomotives buy kiay gaye. Unki build quality se pta chal raha hai sasti chiz hai. Just like chinese 30,000 wali motor cycle jo 6 months hi achi chalti hai.

This is a very heart breaking news that 69 unit Locomotives break down. A big wastage of money. China should take care of this Loco after sale. Here in Bangladesh around 15-20 Loco are still giving service last 60 years. This are American Loco. Our Govt import Loco from Canada, Japan,America.

Sad to see such a situation of Locomotives in Pakistan. Maybe if they have gone with European or American Locomotives they could have cost more but definitely lasted long.

Atleast PR should set a standard of 4000 horsepower.
India has indegineously made 12000 HP electric locomotive and even 11000 Hp locomotive..

@@SGShikharHeights PR is allergic to electrification. Initially, electrification was part of CPEC ML1 but PR tried its best and succeeded in making it all diesel. Even they dismantled the existing electric overhead lines.

GMU30 EMD645 1975 MODEL still working
HGMU30 EMD645 1985 model still working
AGE30 locomotives 1996 model are still working,
RGE20,24 2005,06 model are also still working
And lastly China se aay hoy ZCU20 and zcu30 locomotives are still working since 2014 and ZCU20 is recognized best locomotive ever

A diesel locomotive costs atleast half a million and upto 2 million dollars each. There is no way 69 engines would cost 7 million dollars. These engines would have atleast coat $300,000 each to a total of $21 million for all 69 engines.

Yes it was very hot and humid day here, after filming of 2 videos which took 2 hours almost, I went for this dpu locomotive,s video and just after recording of 30 minutes I had to sit and took rest for almsot and hour, my cellphone was already got heated and stopped working......

Bro you did a good job to bring these locos before general public. Dong fen mostly produces tractors . I remember a tractor Dong Feng 12. These locos are only wastage of money. The locos of 82 and 47 series are older then these junk locos but they are still working efficiently. I really feel sad on wastage of money
